On the one of mine that YOU just solved... I also like the narration that splits the quote - where it says that Aragorn's 'sight' first came to him. I guess he got a 'glimpse' of what was to come... or in some way a 'light bulb came on'! I always found that interesting. :)

Oh Rian, this discussion of ours was some time ago, but I've been meaning to tell you this... our three year old is a real singer. Several weeks ago, he was singing something and I just couldn't place it (it's still sometimes hard to make out his words at times). Finally I realized he was singing: Barbara Manatee!! :D

Tuor started a "minor works" quote game, that originally included the non-ME and somewhat-ME type books, like Farmer Giles and Adv. of Tom Bom. I asked if we could include Morgoth's Ring and Lays of Beleriand, and he graciously said it was OK. However ... I don't know, I just feel somehow that those works are more appropriate for this thread, so I wanted to ask people's opinions about adding them to this thread. Now I think we might need to limit it somewhat to only certain parts, since the HOME books have huge portions of different versions of things. So I'd like to propose the following:

1. From MR, the Athrabeth
2. From POME, The Shibboleth, also maybe The New Shadow and Tar-Elmar
3. From TLOB, all
4. from WOTJ, the Wanderings of Hurin

What's the consensus? I realize that not everyone will have all of these, but there's such good stuff in them, and I know that I like hearing about things that I don't have yet (then I usually end up getting them!)
