Was it Gandalf???

Midge
03-11-2007, 09:18 PM
sorry i wasn't checking. I was sick.

Yes. It is Gandalf. your turn, Val!

03-11-2007, 09:46 PM
about your signature, Midge, what caused her to say "the gay and innocent and heartless"? You seem like you have read the book, so I was curious. :)

Midge
03-13-2007, 09:56 PM
okay, so in the story, the kids fly away and don't even consider the feelings of their parents. They were heartless because they didn't care about how what they did affected others. It was all about having fun right then.

if you can find it, it's an excellent book. It's one of those books that you don't have to analyze, you just sort of do on accident... the best kind. I lost my copy and it makes me sad. *tear*

Sorry I've been ubable to post the next quote yet. I hope to have the next up in about 15-16 hours. If someone else wants to post in the meantime, that's alright. :)

Arg, can't quite get it:There...

"This is the Arkenstone of Thrain,
the Heart of the Mountain;
and it is also the heart of Thorin.
He values it above a /_i_e_/ of gold.
It will add /_o_/i_/your bargaining."
Nice quote, good use of blanks!

Valandil
03-15-2007, 08:02 AM
Very good Gaffer.

In addition to your unsolved words, "add" is not correct. Also... we need the speaker for the full solution. :)

The Gaffer
03-15-2007, 11:13 AM
aid, you, in!

Bilbo, having snuck over the wall to the other side.

One of my favourite twists of The Hobbit.

Still can't get that last one.

Rían
03-15-2007, 12:00 PM
"river", methinks ...

(having just re-read the Hobbit to the kiddos)

Valandil
03-15-2007, 09:19 PM
"river" it is... and Gaffer's other solves were correct - so it's all yours, Rian! :)

Rían
03-21-2007, 03:01 PM
Oops, I fergot .... :o

*ahem* ok, here goes:

"B_w_r_!/S_a_l/_o_e/_a_/t_e/_r_u_/s_n/_f/_i_i_l/_v_r/_a_/f_r/_h_/c_i_d_e_/o_/I_d_s./

(hey, it's lunchtime...)

Midge
03-21-2007, 06:04 PM
"Beware!/Shall/_o_e/_a_/the/_r_u_/son/of/Miriel/ever/_a_/for/the/c_i_d_e_/of/Indis./
For/he/has/become/great,/and/he/has/his/rather/in/his/hand/./
It/will/not/be/long/before/HE/CRAVES/_o_/forth/from/TUNA!"

Sorry. I thought it was funny that "tuna" fit the last word... and that the word "craves" was there also. It reminded me of someone who is pregnant, craving tuna... like I said. Sorry.

Rían
03-21-2007, 06:19 PM
oh, no problem - "Tuna" is why I made the lunch comment (guess what we had for lunch ... :D )

incorrect - "shall", "rather", and "craves"

Midge
03-21-2007, 11:05 PM
wait... tuna was RIGHT???

Rían
03-21-2007, 11:23 PM
Yes :)

(haven't you read the Sil?)

Midge
03-22-2007, 01:13 AM
Yes. But it was very long ago... ish... for me.

uh... more guesses.

oh, duh. "Father", "It will not be long before he drives you forth from Tuna"?

I'm lost on the rest. Some other person will have to help me! (A-hem... that's everyone else's cue to start guessing!)

Rían
03-22-2007, 01:54 AM
Ugh, that "Tuna" name bugged me from my very first reading! I guess even JRRT can't be perfect! I just picture empty, smelly tuna cans littering the beautiful hill ... ugh!

You're correct on your other guesses, and we're now at:

"Beware!/S_a_l/_o_e/_a_/the/_r_u_/son/of/Miriel/ever/_a_/for/the/c_i_d_e_/of/Indis./
For/he/has/become/great,/and/he/has/his/father/in/his/hand/./
It/will/not/be/long/before/he/drives/you/forth/from/TUNA!"

Valandil
03-22-2007, 05:25 AM
"Beware! Small love has the proud son of Miriel ever had for the children of Indis.
For he has become great, and he has his father in his hand.
It will not be long before he drives you forth from Tuna!"

speaker...??? (and I just re-read that not long ago! )

EDIT: one semi-logical guess is "Melkor" - but it doesn't seem right.

Rían
03-22-2007, 10:07 AM
Melkor it is, I would say - it says, "But to Finarfin and Fingolfin it was said" - but it says that those lies came from Melkor.

Your go :)

Valandil
03-23-2007, 08:15 PM
OK - I knew those words/ideas would have come from him indirectly, but didn't think he actually said them directly to those two brothers.

"V_r_/w_l_/:/i_/t_o_e/_e_e/_h_/w_r_s/_f/_h_/s_n/_f/_u_i_/,

Midge
03-24-2007, 01:57 AM
"Very/well/:/if/those/_e_e/the/words/of/the/son/of/Hurin/,

/For/I/am/_n_i_l_n_/./I/must/take/care/not/to/say/such/things/again."

Valandil
03-24-2007, 07:13 AM
"For" is wrong - all your other solved words are correct.

That leaves 3 words and the speaker to be solved. :)

Earniel
03-24-2007, 11:26 AM
"were" and "nor"?

Valandil
03-24-2007, 12:44 PM
"were" is right, but "nor" is wrong.

We now have:

"Very well: if those were the words of the son of Hurin,
he must keep them, and go.
But whenever I say that I will do this or that,
it looks very different when the time comes.
/_o_/ I am /_n_i_l_n_/. I must take care not to say such things again."

Need those last two words and speaker.

I can really identify with that middle part:

"But whenever I say that I will do this or that,
it looks very different when the time comes."

:p

Rían
03-24-2007, 06:40 PM
OK - I knew those words/ideas would have come from him indirectly, but didn't think he actually said them directly to those two brothers.
Correct, he did NOT say them directly to the brothers. (did I word that vaguely?)

Valandil
03-24-2007, 10:22 PM
No - it's just that being aware of that, and not knowing who actually repeated it to them, I wasn't sure where to go with an answer for the speaker - so I just guessed "Melkor" anyway.

Got some "guesses" for the missing elements on the latest? :)

Count Comfect
03-25-2007, 07:12 AM
Now?

Valandil
03-25-2007, 07:50 AM
"Now" is correct - 1 word left + speaker. :)

Midge
03-25-2007, 11:45 PM
unwilling?

I don't know the names of all the people in the Silmarillion (or any of them, really), but I bet that a wise elf probably said this. I just don't know which one.

:( <= me wishing I knew which one

Valandil
03-26-2007, 06:21 AM
"unwilling" is correct - so the quote portion is solved. :)

And... for a hint... the speaker is no Elf.

Midge
03-26-2007, 05:51 PM
well, as I said... I bet... and I am not a very good gambler. Which is why I don't do that...

Rían
03-27-2007, 08:25 PM
I'm stumped - I'm not a big fan of the Turin stories. It doesn't sound like his mumsy, but I'll give her a guess...

Valandil
03-27-2007, 10:36 PM
Sorry - not Morwen. :)

The Gaffer
03-28-2007, 10:58 AM
Is it Turin himself? Doing that thing of referring to himself in the third person?

Rían
03-28-2007, 11:00 AM
oh, that's a good guess, Gaffer - sounds like something Turin would do!

Valandil
03-28-2007, 06:38 PM
Yes Gaffer - when he was a boy, talking to Sador.

Your... Turin! ;) :p :D

Rían
03-28-2007, 06:54 PM
*groans at the pun* ;)

Funny, I was thinking the speaker might be Sador, but I never thought of it being Turin himself!

Rían
03-29-2007, 08:01 PM
I think it's "say" ...

and I think it's from the Gandy/Thorin bit in UT ...

Recall the quote, can't recall the speaker, time to make dinner, will "stew" ;) over it ...

The Gaffer
03-30-2007, 03:47 AM
You're both right, it's say and there are some spaces missing.

Sorry.

Anyway, I guess whoever gets the speaker gets it.

*Rides in to the "Rescue"*

"Gandalf"? :)

Midge

All right, then. I will play devil's advocate and say... Thorin.

Although I bet you're right, Val.

It's been awhile... perhaps we should take matters into our own hands? I'll give it a couple more days and then one of us should check to see who's right, ... is that how it works?

Valandil
04-08-2007, 06:52 AM
Gaffer hasn't played this game a lot - since it went so long since he last posted, he may have forgotten about it.

We can either PM him, or one of us could look it up.

"The King of Gondor and the Lord of the Western Lands,
and he has saved back all his ancient wells.
He will ride soon to his crowning, but he waits for you."

Gandalf to Frodo, on Aragorn's crowning? *thinks I need to become better acquainted with the Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales...*

Valandil
04-10-2007, 12:14 AM
Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales are good indeed - well worth familiarizing yourself with! But I did this one as sort of an "Easter Treat" - since Tolkien possibly picked March 25 as Ring Destruction Day because it's a traditional date for Easter.

Anyway - you're right on everything except two words, "saved" and "wells" are wrong.

And... it looks like I threw in an extra word by mistake... the "the" before "Lord" shouldn't be there. :o

It was like, from the 28th of march to the 7th of April since we'd had any confirmation of any kind! Okay???

And patience is a virture which I possess in little abundance. We (patience and I) are not quite as close as we probably should be. I apologize, I have nothing against patience.

Oh. Sorry. *sheepish look* I didn't notice your last post Val.

What then will they do: match /bared/ hands against iron and die in vain,
or flee leaving the cries of /_o_e_/ behind them?
Will they say to Eru: At least I spilled no blood?

Speaker has to be Hamlet, methinks :D

cries of women?

The Gaffer
04-20-2007, 11:14 AM
Yes, that looks like a good call. I am totally stumped as to where it comes from. I thought elves generally used Iluvatar, rather than Eru, so maybe 'tis a Man. It's from Valandil, which suggests Northkingdom ;), though the quote itself brings to mind Theoden for some reason. Maybe I've watched the films too often.

Count Comfect

only yet "guessed"?

Valandil
04-20-2007, 10:11 PM
Very good everyone! :) Here's where we stand now:

"I am in too great doubt to rule. To prepare or to let be?
To prepare for war, which is yet only guessed:
train craftsmen and /_i_l_r_/ in the midst
of peace for bloodspilling and battle:
put iron in the hands of /_r_e_y/_a_t_i_s/ who will love only conquest,
and /_o_n_/ the /_l_i_/ as their /_l_r_/?
Will they say to Eru: At least your enemies were amongst them?
or to /_o_d/_a_d_/ while /_r_e_d_/ die unjustly:
let men live in /_l_n_/ peace, until the /_a_i_h_r/ is at the gate?
What then will they do: match /_a_e_/ hands against iron and die in vain,
or flee leaving the cries of women behind them?
Will they say to Eru: At least I spilled no blood?

"millers" was very close, but not quite (and it's not "milkers" :p ) - "bared" was not correct, but the correct word means much the same.

Not ALL my quotes are from the Northern Dunedain. ;) I've quoted other races at times, as well as the Dunedain's descendants... and ancestors.

Getting very close now.

Naked hands
tillers?
or to hold...?

Valandil
04-21-2007, 07:15 AM
"naked" and "tillers" are correct - v. good, that latter was hard, I think.

"hold" is not correct, but the correct word sounds much like it. And - you could "hold" as well as "_o_d" the "_a_d_" word, which follows. :)

Valandil
04-21-2007, 02:47 PM
Yes - fold hands is correct. We're down to:

"I am in too great doubt to rule. To prepare or to let be?
To prepare for war, which is yet only guessed:
train craftsmen and tillers in the midst
of peace for bloodspilling and battle:
put iron in the hands of /_r_e_y/_a_t_i_s/ who will love only conquest,
and /_o_n_/ the /_l_i_/ as their /_l_r_/?
Will they say to Eru: At least your enemies were amongst them?
or to fold hands while /_r_e_d_/ die unjustly:
let men live in /_l_n_/ peace, until the /_a_i_h_r/ is at the gate?
What then will they do: match naked hands against iron and die in vain,
or flee leaving the cries of women behind them?
Will they say to Eru: At least I spilled no blood?"

That leaves just 8 words... and, anyone wish to make a try at speaker yet? :)

Count Comfect

I hate multi-syllable words without their starting letter... I have absolutely no ideas.

Earniel
04-26-2007, 04:52 PM
Same here. Normally I have some clue (right or wrong) where the quote may come from, with this one I am well and truly stumped.

Valandil
04-26-2007, 10:28 PM
OK - I figured it might be time to toss in some clues. Let's see... I'll put a middle letter into each unsolved word. :)

"I am in too great doubt to rule. To prepare or to let be?
To prepare for war, which is yet only guessed:
train craftsmen and tillers in the midst
of peace for bloodspilling and battle:
put iron in the hands of /_ree_y/_a_tai_s/ who will love only conquest,
and /_oun_/ the /_lai_/ as their /_lor_/?
Will they say to Eru: At least your enemies were amongst them?
or to fold hands while /_rie_d_/ die unjustly:
let men live in /_lin_/ peace, until the /_a_ish_r/ is at the gate?
What then will they do: match naked hands against iron and die in vain,
or flee leaving the cries of women behind them?
Will they say to Eru: At least I spilled no blood?"

There's only one more word: "/_lin_/" just before "peace" - and the speaker!

04-27-2007, 06:25 AM
blind?

Is the speaker Theoden?

Valandil
04-27-2007, 06:53 AM
"blind" it is, but Theoden it is not.

Though it is a King... and a Man. :)

Not one of those, but a little after the first one. So don't Tar out too quickly.

From a story in UT...

The Gaffer

I thought we weren't allowed to cheat (i.e. look it up) :)

Valandil
04-30-2007, 08:30 AM
No - shouldn't do that, but it's OK for me to give hints - like saying which book it's in, etc. If someone does look it up, it should only be to verify a completed answer, when the one who gave the quote has not ruled on it.

I guess we don't have as many playing the Quote game who have read UT as in the past... :) But also, this has been a "toughie" (I 'upped the ante' a little) - and it'll be nice when we can move on to the next.

Count Comfect

But I can add a (T)ar-Pharazon?

Valandil

OK - it was Tar-Meneldur, father of Tar-Aldarion, from "Aldarion and Erendis" (or was it "Aldarion and 'Orrendous"? ;) )

I, as, seems likely, have not been the only one to have trouble logging-in -

Let us move on and get back to enjoying this game, a mild but fun diversion for all concerened.

best, BB

Oh... i thought I posted something else... guess not. Hold on while I make up stuff that could go in the empty spaces.

tenn'?
Et Edrelgo Ennorenna Utulien. Ambar-retta?

Butterbeer
06-12-2007, 07:01 PM
tenn'?
Et Edrelgo Ennorenna Utulien. Ambar-retta?

4 correct!

Boy, i thought this would be more fun! Some wild possibly funny guesses ...

ah well, Good on ya Midge anyway!

best, BB

Et / E-r-l-o / En-oeenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -a-u-an / ar / H-l-iny-r / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

Valandil
06-12-2007, 09:11 PM
Well - I don't know any Elvish, so I'm sort of out of action on this one.

BB - would you have been able to get one like this?

Butterbeer
06-13-2007, 04:57 AM
what you mean like this one?

"O Orofarnë, Lassemista, Carnimirië!" ??

anyway, i assume it is Valinorean...

Valandil
06-13-2007, 06:54 AM
Yeah - I didn't get that one either, and was reduced to taking shots in the dark at the letters. :D

Rían
06-13-2007, 02:21 PM
let me see - H-l-iny-r is Haldinyer? No idea ... give us nice easy English chestnuts, precious! ;) It's easier to make funny guesses on English words for me - the struture of these words is too different from English.

Midge
06-13-2007, 07:31 PM
endorenna, or endoeenna? The point is I am guessing a 'd' in the missing letter spot of that word!

Butterbeer
06-14-2007, 07:05 AM
Haldinyer?

Close enough - one vowel out
endorenna - is correct :D

Et / E-r-l-o / Endorenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -a-u-an / ar / H-ldinyar / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

yeah, this kinda backfired - an english one would have been better! :o

Butterbeer
06-17-2007, 03:30 PM
heh guys - i don't want to hold this thread up - you want me to either post it and give it to Midge (since he got the speaker?) or at least give HEAVY clues - ??

Thought this would be a fun one, but maybe not?

Best, BB

Valandil
06-18-2007, 12:00 AM
Whatever you like BB. You could try some major clues if you want. :) (if it will help - in my case, I can't even remember which letters were previously tried unsuccessfully in unsolved letters - so I'm not sure if clues will help - but we'll see)

Butterbeer
06-18-2007, 09:26 PM
letters i'd try:

( i was gonna riddle this - by word and juxtaposition in aplhabet - but am too tired and am away most of tommorow)

...hang on - opens up book -

Et / E-r-l-o / Endorenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -a-u-an / ar / H-ldinyar / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

...here we go: (in no order :D ) m & a & s :)

Midge
06-19-2007, 06:26 PM
We've been over this. I am not a "he". Thanks.

Valandil
06-19-2007, 06:58 PM
Is the sixth word "Saruman"?

Rían
06-20-2007, 12:40 AM
OK, BB, put us out of our aaaaaagony and give us more big, fat, juicy hintses!!! *big, pleading eyes*

Um, ok, is it Haldinyar, Heldinyar, Hildinyar, Holdinyar or Huldinyar? ;)

Midge
06-23-2007, 01:18 AM
Actually, you said it was "Haldinyer" and he said it was one vowel off, then changed the "e" to an "a"... so instead of "Haldinyer", he had "H_ldinyar"... so either he had the wrong letter wrong, or there were two wrong letters.

That was confusing me; just thought I'd get that out there.

Butterbeer
06-24-2007, 07:05 PM
er, still on this?

my sincere apologies - i have been hellishly busy

(Don't have the book with me -am up to the North East tommorow and then down and across to liverpool)

it'll be late Monday (UK time) till i can fill it in.

Midge - i can't remember, but i vaguely remember being unsure on a letter when replying - i'll double check it tommoroe evening.

Sorry guys,

best, BB

Okay, I vote one of us heroically finds the passage and just does it for BB... this has gone on quite long enough, don't you think?

Midge
06-25-2007, 11:36 PM
All right, I'll be the hero and help you out a bit, BB.

Answer to my earlier question: It is H_ldinyar. Not Haldiny_r.

Val: No, not Saruman.

I am inserting all letters that have been guessed correctly so far just for the sake of speeding things up!

Just so you don't have to scroll up...

Et / E-rel-o / Endorenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -aru-an / ar / H-ldinyar / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

Midge
06-25-2007, 11:49 PM
Rian, the big H-word is listed among those you.. listed.

I just don't know which one it is... :p

Rían
06-26-2007, 03:49 PM
Okay, I vote one of us heroically finds the passage and just does it for BB... this has gone on quite long enough, don't you think?Yes - let's just pretend some random elf comes by and gives us the answer or something! ;)

*is too lazy to look it up right now, though*

Butterbeer
06-26-2007, 06:38 PM
The thing about random elfs is ... (or elves) if you prefer ...

is after wading through floods and storms and driving through seas of spray and mist, and towing stranded motorists out of flood waters, they eventually turned up as promised.

(Never made it to Liverpool though)

- i agree however this has gone on far too long.

Shall i just post it and give it to Midge as he guessed the correct Speaker?

Rían
06-26-2007, 07:01 PM
sounds good! :)

(ps - I answered your PM a while back, in the CC account, in case you forgot to check it :) )

(pps - Midge says that she isn't a he! :D )

Midge
06-29-2007, 04:03 PM
Yeah, BB... don't you pay attention??? We'd had this conversation in a completely different thread; it's even posted in my signature.

"I am a she!!!" See below.

So I got the quote? Okay... I don't have my book with me, I'm at a different house than mine right now. So currently, my location is lying.

Midge
07-01-2007, 01:03 AM

Valandil
07-03-2007, 12:28 AM
A few missed words here and there. Dain was indeed the speaker. Here's what's right so far:

"No, You are the father of our /F_l_/, and /_e/_a_e/_l_d/ for you,
and will again. But we will not enter Khazad-dum.
You will not enter Khazad-dum.
Only I have looked through the shadow of the /_a_e/.
Beyond the shadow it waits for you still: Durin's Bane.
The world must change and some other power than/_u_s/
must /_o_e/ before Durin's /_o_k/_a_k/ again in Moria."

Midge - we gotta teach you to take out the slashes and put spaces back in when solving. :) It's a lot cleaner anyway.

"No, You are the father of our Folk, and we have bled for you,
and will again. But we will not enter Khazad-dum.
You will not enter Khazad-dum.
Only I have looked through the shadow of the Gate.
Beyond the shadow it waits for you still: Durin's Bane.
The world must change and some other power than ours
must /_o_e/ before Durin's Folk walk again in Moria."

Midge - sorry if I got under your skin... it's just sort of hard to read 'em with all the slashes still there. :)

Midge
07-08-2007, 04:04 PM

Here's a very short one - might be hard to guess the speaker ...

"_o_/t_e/_r_s_n_,"

Have at it!

Valandil
07-21-2007, 01:59 AM
"For the present"? (so short! :( )

07-22-2007, 12:27 AM
no (unless he said it and I didn't know!)

07-22-2007, 05:17 PM
Well, as we all know, we are going for the person who you read that said it!

How about... the Gaffer?

Thorin?

Valandil
07-22-2007, 08:56 PM

Rían
07-23-2007, 03:12 AM

Valandil
07-23-2007, 07:22 AM
Saruman?

Midge
07-23-2007, 11:44 AM
Ugluk?

You say the menacing voice and it makes me think of one of those really cheesy but supposed to be scary movies where this evil guy says, "For the present" and starts laughing maniacally during a fade to black plus a zoom out or in.

Rían
07-23-2007, 03:26 PM
no and no on the speakers, but Midge, you got the scene pretty much right!

(It's in FoTR)

Midge
07-24-2007, 01:05 AM
It isn't Strider, is it?

Rían
07-24-2007, 03:55 AM
no ...

(another hint - it's during the council of Elrond)

Midge
07-24-2007, 05:52 PM
IS it that one guy who is really close to Elrond, and is the devil's advocate to taking the Ring to Mount Doom, whose name I conveniently forgot but I think starts with an E?

Rían
07-24-2007, 06:57 PM
no, it's a REAL bad guy, actually ...

Valandil
07-24-2007, 08:24 PM
Was it Boromir? (does he count as a Bad Guy? There weren't many "bad guys" present there... unless the quote is repeated at the Council and was originally said by another - and you want the initial speaker...???)

Midge
07-24-2007, 08:33 PM
Ohh, I see. It was Gloin, originally the Ringwraith who was threatening the Dwarves!

Valandil
07-25-2007, 06:55 AM
Ohh, I see. It was Gloin, originally the Ringwraith who was threatening the Dwarves!

Assuming that was a Ringwraith... but that's another discussion. :)

Midge

oh... i just always did. i didn't really think it would be anything else.

Rían
07-25-2007, 03:15 PM
That's it, Midge!

I always liked that line - so snarky and threatening - so Mordor-ish!

I think it says "servant of Sauron", so it's not specifically named as a ringwraith - I have a faint memory of JRRT saying it was, though, in one of his letters or something, but maybe I"m wrong.

Your go, Midge! :)

Midge
07-26-2007, 12:18 AM

07-26-2007, 10:52 PM
oh... i just always did. i didn't really think it would be anything else.

I didn't remember a quote from "Letters" - but could've easily forgotten it. I just wonder - especially with the other activities of the Nazgul outlined in "Hunt for the Ring" - if this might not have been the Mouth of Sauron.

Anyway...

"There are some who would begin to doubt whether your /_r_a_d/ is fit to tell.
Happily I know something of it."

Midge
07-27-2007, 12:39 AM

Who's gonna guess it? Will we ever know? My mouse just slipped off my knee... man!

08-03-2007, 11:20 PM
Soorrry, guys... I forgot to mention that I was going away for a week to be a counselor at a camp for fourth to seventh grade girls... oops... no, not Strider or Smaug...

And just so you know, I am not all about women's rights or anything way political like that... I just think it's weird to be referred to as the opposite member of the sex which you actually are... try it once in a while. It's weird, trust me.

Valandil
08-05-2007, 07:07 AM
All right, so I refuted your guesses... Is that any reason to stop figuring it out?

Sorry - still just drawing a blank on speakers.

Saruman?

If not - can you start hinting around?

And... could someone else start guessing along with me?

Midge
08-05-2007, 04:41 PM
You are getting much closer with Saruman than with your other guesses. Here's a hint.. move away from people whose names start with S. It was said to Strider... although by that time, he was Aragorn. And the speaker isn't named by name when he/she said it... but it was someone majorly important in the trilogy...

Does that make up for my weeklong silence?

Valandil
08-05-2007, 10:49 PM
Arwen? ;)

No - just kidding... :D

Gandalf?

(I think I wrongly guessed him on something else recently, and thought I had on this quote - until I just re-checked. :p )

Am I the only one playing? :(

Midge
08-05-2007, 11:51 PM
Gandalf it was...

As to you not playing, well, BB bowed out of this one for some reason... and I think Landroval heroically took my place for a day or two while I was at camp... don't know where the others are. Maybe they are taking an extra long nap... =P
