My 800th post
Welcome to the Annual Entmoot Mud Wrestling Tournament 2003! I have taken the opportunity to arrange a competition, where some famous ‘Mooters will meet and wrestle each other completely covered in mud :D

There are 16 male contestants and 16 female contestants. One vs. one, the men will wrestle the other men and the women will wrestle the other women. There will be no man vs. woman fight (sorry ;) ).

Here is some information about the tournament. Each day two wrestling matches will be held, one ‘man vs. man’ match and one ‘woman vs. woman’ match. I am the sports commentator and the Umpire, and in this thread I will post the outcome of every match. The winner in each match will continue to the next fight, while the looser will no longer be in the competition. The numbers of contestants will be reduced from 16 until there is only one left (One male and one female). The one contestant will then be considered gold medallist and he/she will receive the honourable title of “Entmoot Mud Wrestler Champion of 2003�. A bronze match will also be held to determine who will win the symbolic bronze medal.
The Final is scheduled to take place on June 1.

The selection of contestants has been made by the Umpire. He has picked ‘Mooters (no administrators though) that he thinks are suitable for mud wrestling. If you were not chosen this year, you will have another chance in 2004.

If you have been selected to participate in the Annual Entmoot Mud Wrestling Tournament (AEMWT), please read carefully:
The contestants will not participate directly in their mud wrestling matches. I, the commentator and Umpire, will in this thread describe the matches and appoint a winner, so the contestants can just sit back and relax. Later, they can read about how they did in their matches. The contestants cannot appeal any decisions taken by the Umpire.
The Umpire has the ultimate power. He decides who wins and who loses. When he appoints a winner, he just picks the one that he wants to win. To increase chances that he appoints you as the winner, you can try to be more active at Entmoot. You need to be seen by the Umpire in other threads so that he knows you exist, otherwise chances are small that he lets you win your matches. To make the Umpire even more eager to let you win, you can be nice to him in the threads, you can send him flattering PMs or you can bribe him.
You cannot win by being completely invisible at Entmoot, by being nasty to the Umpire or by blackmailing him.

The games will start on May 17, which is my 120th day at Entmoot. It also happens to be the National Day of Norway, and to honour the Norwegians, Falagar and Artanis are first out. Falagar will battle Anglorfin and Artanis will face Lizra.

If mud wrestling is against your religion or if you in any way don’t want to participate in the tournament, send me a PM about it and I will have you disqualified and have your name removed from the website (http://www.geocities.com/mootmudwrestling/emw.html). But I hope that every 'Mooter who have been chosen to wrestle in the tournament are happy and excited about it!

Ha-ha! :p I'm very honoured. :D At first I was afraid you should force me into mud wrestling on our Constitution Day, instead of joining the celebration, I would also have had a problem fighting against Lizra, she's too kind! But since you'll be running the match all by yourself I guess everything will be fine. :p

Of course, gimli's chances look quite poor, but he still has time to do something about them. If my time table holds, he has until May 20 to convince me that he's the worthiest winner.

I would never participate in an uprising against the Entmoot administrators. I think they are doing a great job, and I think that the 90 second and 120 second rules are good rules :D

For your information, I already doubled the number of contestants by having two separate contests, one for the guys and one for the girls. I have no intention to increase the number of people to 64 :D

I've read a little in the The decline of entmoot (http://entmoot.tolkientrail.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4563) thread and in the You be the mods/Cleaning up General Messages (http://entmoot.tolkientrail.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8468) thread, and they made an impression on me. Therefore, people who spam too much in other threads will have a hard time winning the contest.

“The rain poured down while the two men clashed in the mud. Sween, mad about not being matched up against a woman, yelled ‘Your ass is mine!’. Several times Sween tried to throw himself over his opponent, but Arathorn evaded the attacks. Then Sween picked up a handful of mud and launched it at Arathorn, who was able to duck and avoid getting the mud in his face. Sween picked up more mud and launched a volley of mud pies at Arathorn. But with a manoeuvre, which could fit into any Matrix movie, Arathorn dodged all that Sween was throwing at him.
The battle went on for hours and Sween, with every ounce of his strength, tried in vain to attack his swift competitor. But Arathorn was far too defensive, and eventually Sween got his hands on Arathorn and rubbed mud all over his face. Arathorn, exhausted from the many hours of evading Sween, fell to the ground.

A few seconds after Sween had been announced the winner, he let himself fall into the mud next to Arathorn, for Sween was equally weary as his opponent. Sween fell asleep where he lay with a big smile on his face.�

Aralyn had the advantage of being older and thus having more experience from mud wrestling, but the Lady of Rohan had a strong will and matched Aralyn by being smaller and quicker.
Aralyn cried “¡No esperes que puedas ganar!", and the Lady looked at her with a surprised look, “What did you just say?â€�. But Aralyn just yelled “¡No has visto a ninguna muchacha tan peligrosa como mÃ*!â€�.
The battle went on and Aralyn keeped yelling things like “¡No puedes luchar!�, “¡Intenta golpearme, si puedes!� and “¡Voy a comer tu cerebro!�. It wasn’t long before Wayfarer slapped the walking stick out of Cirdan’s hands. After that, Wayfarer kept hitting Cirdan repeatedly in his head with his wizardly staff, *wack, wack*. Cirdan yelled “Stop the match!�, but Wayfarer continued beating his poor opponent enthusiastically. Now, Cirdan became very angry. He succeeded in sweeping Wayfarer off his feet and suddenly, Wayfarer was the one who got beaten with a stick. After a few hits, Cirdan threw the stick away and tried to strangle Wayfarer.
The Umpire blew his whistle. The match was over and Cirdan stood victorious.�

It would take more than being on home ground to beat this experienced mud wrestler. Eruviel decided to try to threat Luthien: “Give up, or I’ll be forced to implement my Torture Device of Doom! You will be forced to watch episodes of Barney and Friends until the end of the world if you do not comply to my demand!�. Luthien immediately stopped hitting Eruviel, and looked at her with a terrified look. “You...you can’t be serious!�, Luthien said with tears in her eyes. Eruviel, seeing a chance of winning even more than just the match, yelled at Luthien: “Tell me the secrets of the universe, muhahah!�. But Luthien kept silent. “Now tell me! What are the secrets of the universe? I demand to know! I demand to...*glorp*�.
As Eruviel was screaming, Luthien had picked up some mud and now, she forced Eruviel to gorge herself on it. Eruviel choke on the mud while she was lifted by Luthien and thrown overboard and into the sea.
Luthien smiled and understood that she had won the match. She yelled to Eruviel, who was coughing in the water, “With more action and less talk, you probably would have beaten me�.
And with Eruviel’s pirate ship, Luthien sailed away into the sunset not to return until her next match...�

It started raining. Cassiopeia got up and grabbed Starr Polish around her waist. The audience watched with big eyes.

The pouring rain didn’t do the contestants any harm. Cassiopeia wrestled Starr Polish down. The audience was impressed.

It was raining cats and dogs. The girls tumbled around in the mud. The audience was very excited.

One could hear the thunder approaching. Cassiopeia bit Starr Polish in her ears. The audience wanted blood.

There was a flash of lighting. Starr Polish chewed up Cassiopeia’s eyebrowns. The audience cheered.

A thunderstorm. Cassiopeia launched a mud pie at Starr Polish. The audience gave a thunderous applause.

The taste of blood in Insidious mouth made him howl like a wolf, he had now lost every trace of his former humanity.
The pain in Finrod’s knee had the same effect. Finrod, too, was transformed into a beast. He punched Insidious right on his nose, and Insidious took a few steps backwards. Now he was mad. He leaped forward and grabbed Finrod’s hair with one hand, and started clawing Finrod’s face with the other.
Finrod punched Insidious in the stomach. Insidious poked Finrod’s left eye. Insidious was headbutted in the face. Finrod was pulled in the ears. Finally, Insidious kicked Finrod’s bum. Finrod fell with his face down into the mud.
While Insidious Rex was proclaimed the winner of the match, Finrod muttered “I think I’ve broken something�. Insidious answered “And I probably got a concussion. Let’s help each other find a doctor�. And so they stumbled along, together searching for a doctor, after the most violent wrestling match so far.

Now, Lalaith took advantage of Elf Girl’s fatigue and started hitting back. Elf Girl could only offer little resistance, and soon she was knocked off her feet.
Knowing that the match was over and that she had won, Lalaith sat down on her knees in the mud thinking “Thank you Illúvatar for granting my request�. She got up and bowed politely in front of the spectators, who were beside themselves with excitement.

Bombadillo and congressmn had spent the whole morning preparing themselves for the wrestling match. congressmn had listened to Indian folk music thus putting himself in a state of inner calm. He knew that nothing could stop him from winning the match.
Bombadillo had eaten a mix of several pasta dishes this morning to improve his stamina. He was now well prepared for a long mud wrestling match and he knew that nothing could stop him from winning.
And so they stood in the mud wrestling pit. congressmn had brought with him a radio to which he was going to listen during the battle. Bombadillo had a plate of noodles waiting for him in the far corner of the mud pit, in case he needed to refuel his stamina.
The fight started with Bombadillo attacking congressmn, his mouth full of noodles. He pushed congressmn down into the mud and started beating him in his stomach. But congressmn didn’t bother, he just lay there and listened to the music streaming out from his radio. Bombadillo could continue beating him. However, when the music stopped, congressmn sort of woke up and threw away Bombadillo like a glove. congressmn got up and got ready to fight. Meanwhile, Bombadillo ate the last of his noodles.
Bombadillo and congressmn clashed and wrestled and punched and boxed and kicked. Soon, congressmn put an end to the fight. He took advantage of that Bombadillo hadn’t the same inner calm. Bombadillo was stressed towards the end, and that became his downfall.
congressmn, promising Bombadillo to offer him some noodles sometime, left the mud pit to go home and listen to some Indian folk music and enjoy his victory.
