But the drunkard wasn’t too bright at the moment. After a while, he asked Insidious: “Where are you? I see three of you�. Insidious saw a chance to fool Sween and answered: “Whatever you do, don’t hit the guy in the middle�. And Sween immediately started attacking the empty air on both sides of Insidious. After regaining some of his strength, Insidious made a fist and hit Sween right on his mouth with such power that Sween fell backwards. Insidious threw himself over Sween and they started wrestling. But Sween’s sense of balance was no longer of any use and he couldn’t offer much resistance.
Insidious Rex could, after a few minutes of wrestling in the mud, be proclaimed winner.

Why do all the 'Mooters find this very match so interesting? I mean, I understand that it's interesting, but not that interesting to make everyone change their avatars. It's crazy :D
And it seems as if every other thread, there is a post about the Competition and this upcoming match. The Mud Wrestling Competition has spread from this thread, it will soon take over all of Entmoot :eek:

BTW: I will disqualify both Coney and JD unless their fans can guarantee that they can live with the outcome of the match, no matter who wins.

ACK! Ok... I was trying to say that my German is very bad. In the second sentence I was trying to say that 'I said this before'. I don't know what the word for before is. And I might have used spreche the wrong way also. I'm not sure.

I would actually like to learn the german language better, but there really isn't anyone to practice with here. There are a lot of languages I wish I knew better (list is very long). I have a great respect for all the Mooters who do not speak english as their native language and have become quite fluent in it. :D

The minute it starts getting ugly here, I'm out. It's a joke and a good one (well at least to me) but I'm not going to take it seriously. I mean it's not even an actual competition. Neither JD or Coney can actually do anything to win since somebody else is writing the match.

It'll be something like pink and purple day. :D After this we can all have a drink and remember fondly the entmoot mud wrestling. And then people who joined after this will wonder what we're talking about and ask what it was like and wish they were here to see it. :)

The finale will be an anti-climax compared to this match. Surprising it seems that Jonathan just didn't think that the Coney vs JD fight would end up being this big. It's the fight of the century. Of course now he is under A LOT of pressure to make it good. :D

It seemed as if this was no longer a match of mud wrestling, but a display of advanced acrobatics.

Perhaps I should try and get a minor part in Sopranos?�, JerseyDevil thought as he got up and left his hotel room. Full of confidence, JerseyDevil headed for the mud pit. He took a detour, so that he wouldn’t run into Coney on his way there.

11.00 pm: The spectators cheered as JerseyDevil and Coney entered the mud pit. Since it was quite dark, the pit was lit up by a few spotlights. There would be no fun if the fans couldn’t see their heroes wrestling in the mud. The Coney fans had great banderols, on which it was written: “Jesus supports Coney�. The JerseyDevil fans had pins on their clothes, which said “Go JerseyDevil�, “I support JD� and “JD Mud Wrestling 2003�.
Now the national anthems were being sung. First, all the Coney fans stood up and sang “God save the Queen�. Then the JerseyDevil fans sang “The Star Spangled Banner�, and even the # brothers from Canada joined in.

11.10 pm: JerseyDevil put out his cigar and Coney took of his sunglasses (it was a dark night and Coney could hardly see anything with them). The match began.
The two contestants started the match easy. The gave each other bear hugs and tried to bring each other out of balance. They also tried not to ruin their expensive clothes too much.
- “Hey Coney, be careful with my suit. And stop splashing mud all over my pants!�
- “Bugger, my shoes are all muddy. I had spent a lot of time polishing them you know. And my trousers are even muddier than yours, so stop complaining!�

11.20 pm: The battle intensified. The contestants no longer cared about their clothes, now they were rolling around in the mud, wrestling. It started raining, which made the mud even muddier.
- “JerseyDevil, you wrestle good. But I think you’re holding back. Don’t do it, do your best!�
- “And I know you can wrestle better than this! So let’s stop wrestling like silly women and let’s get into high quality wrestling!�

JerseyDevil and Coney threw their jackets away. For a long time, they stared at one another, then they attacked.

11.30 pm: The wrestling match turned into a match of boxing. JerseyDevil and Coney punched and blocked, hit and dodged. Coney got a few good hits and managed to break some of JerseyDevil’s ribs, at the expense of his own nose, which JerseyDevil crushed with one blow.

11.40 pm: The contestants were battered, their blood mixing with the rain water. This was a violent fight indeed. JerseyDevil wanted a time-out, and Coney accepted. The contestants left the mud pit and were taken care of by their fans. Their blood-stained knuckles were wrapped in bandages. JerseyDevil’s fans provided their hero with painkillers, while Sween gave Coney some of his vodka to forget the pain. “Remember, pain is temporal, pride is forever!�, Sween said.
- “Hey Coney!�, JerseyDevil yelled. “What do you think of bringing in some real weapons into the match, just to make the fight a little bit more exciting?�
- “Sounds like a good idea, let’s do it!�

11.45 pm: Once again, the contestants stood staring at one another in the mud pit. The rain was now pouring down, turning the pit into a pool of muddy water.
JerseyDevil fans had given a trident to their hero, a very suitable weapon for a devil. Coney was equipped with a crowbar. There was a flash of lightning and the crowbar sparked in the light. “I’ll show you how the English football hooligans fight!�, Coney yelled. It seemed as if he had a halo over his head.

[music= Valkyries were singing, angels were crying] This was a battle of titans, filled with symbolism. It was UK vs. USA, Jesus vs. the Devil, Good vs. Evil, Right vs. Wrong. The world trembled as the contestants clashed.
Coney moved swiftly, it seemed as if he was actually walking on the water in the water-filled pit. JerseyDevil had problems though, as he stumbled around in the mud. He had to be on the defensive and block Coney’s attacks, since he couldn’t really fight back. But JerseyDevil had the advantage of having a bigger weapon, so he was able to fend off Coney’s blows.

11.55 pm: JerseyDevil learned to manoeuvre in the muddy pool and was now able to hit back. Coney moved with angelic speed but JerseyDevil matched him with his own demonic speed. There were sparks every time the trident and the crowbar met.

12.00 am: Lightning struck the mud pit, dazzling the spectators and destroying the spotlights. It took a while until the spectators could see anything again. The Coney and JerseyDevil fans lit up the mud pit with their torches and could see Coney lying there, seemingly lifeless with his crowbar shattered right next to him. But where was JerseyDevil?
Suddenly JerseyDevil crawled up from the muddy pool, holding a broken trident. The JerseyDevil fans cheered and screamed: “Tell us what happened! We couldn’t see because we were blinded by the flash of lightning!�
JerseyDevil answered in a hoarse voice: “Lightning struck my trident, charging it with electricity. With a powerful blow, I gave Coney an electric chock thus taking him out. My hair caught fire in the process, so I had to dive into the muddy pool to extinguish it�.
Then, from out of nowhere, a white little rabbit entered the pit and started licking Coney’s face. He immediately woke up and said: “Bugger me, I think I lost�.

12.15 am: JerseyDevil had won the match and his fans lifted him on their shoulders and cheered. Coney was given medical attention his fans and Sween gave him some beer. Of course, Coney was depressed that he had lost, but we was also happy. He had found himself a new buddy, namely the white little rabbit.
- “JerseyDevil!�, he said. “I think I’m gonna name my new buddy rabbit after you!�
- “I’m honoured�, JerseyDevil answered. “Just don’t let him bite me, he seems to have sharp teeth�.
- “Qui me amat, amat et cuniculum (Those who love me, love my rabbit too)�, Coney said and his fans cheered and lifted both him and his rabbit on their shoulders. As Coney was taken away by his fans, he said: “Forsan et haec olim meminisse (perhaps some day it will bring pleasure to remember even these things)�.

The mud pit hadn’t recovered after the match between JerseyDevil and Coney, but Ruinel and LuthienTinuviel would wrestle in it anyway.
As LuthienTinuviel threw herself over her opponent, Ruinel thought: “Damn, I forgot my One Thong at home!�. Now Ruinel was depressed and LuthienTinuviel could easily wrestle her down. “I was under the impression that you could wrestle without your One Thong!�, LuthienTiniviel said caustically.
Poor Ruinel started weeping and said: “I CAN wrestle without the One Thong, I really can!�. Suddenly Ruinel was filled with unforeseen power and she kicked LuthienTiniviel high up in the air. She landed with a splash and Ruinel grabbed her around her neck. “You see? I can wrestle without the Thong!�, Ruinel said with tears in her eyes as she pushed LuthienTiniviel down into the mud. LuthienTiniviel tried to get up, but Ruinel was too powerful for her.
Eventually, LuthienTiniviel gave up. Ruinel was victorious and ready for the semi finals.

There was no one there, except Insidious Rex. He stood in the middle of the mud pit and examined the ground, where he would be wrestling with Gwaimir Windgem a few hours later. Insidious kneeled down and took some mud in his hand, studying the mud’s quality. Suddenly he looked up, something was not right. He sniffed and felt a strange odour, then he opened his eyes wide and looked around him carefully.
He heard a muffled noise. He turned around as quickly as possible and could block Gwaimir’s attack just in time. Gwaimir had been hiding close to the mud pit, waiting for Insidious to turn up. Gwaimir had hoped to end the match before it had begun by taking Insidious out with a single blow.
Even though the match shouldn’t start until hours later, Gwaimir and Insidious didn’t care and started wrestling. They both wanted to defeat one another as soon as possible, once and for all. Gwaimir got the upper hand and he threw Insidious around as if he was a hamburger from Burger King (or in this case, Burger Rex). But Insidious didn’t give up, instead he started to put insidious questions to make Gwaimir lose his composure. It worked and Gwaimir’s throws became weaker and weaker, until he was no longer able to throw his opponent. Then Insidious took a chance and tried to throw Gwaimir, exactly as Gwaimir had thrown him a moment ago. It worked and Gwaimir landed with his face down in the mud and didn’t get up.
Insidious Rex had defeated the Burger King, Gwaimir Windgem.

With their own homemade fighting techniques, Artanis and Lalaith fought. Artanis’s technique was composed of different kinds of punches, while Lalaith’s style was mostly made up of kicks. It was a great fight to watch, it reminded the spectators of all the Jackie Chan movies that they had seen.
With her elbows and fists, Artanis tried to strike when Lalaith stood on one leg, in the middle of completing a kick. That way, Artanis thought, she could easily knock Lalaith out of balance. But it didn’t work. Lalaith moved in perfect harmony and with perfect balance. It was like she and the muddy ground was one, it was impossible for Artanis to make her fall. Artanis, on the other hand could not move as swiftly in the mud and that became her downfall. With a well-placed flying kick that Artanis could not block , Lalaith hit Artanis in the head. Now Artanis lost all sense of balance and Lalaith just had to poke at her to make her drop to the ground.
Lalaith knew that she had won and was ready for the Final. To celebrate her victory, she threw herself down and rubbed herself with the mud. “I and the mud are one!�, she screamed as she covered the last clean part of her body with the brown substance.
