Clarification: How did Sirius Black find out that Peter Pettigrew was at Hogwarts while Sirius Black was locked up in Azkaban
When Fudge came to Azkaban he gave Sirus his Daily Prophet and there was Peter, on the front page on ...(ron's shoulder)...I knew him at once ......I'd seen him transform......and the caption said the boy would be going back to Hogwarts....to where Harry was.

This is OT, but I don't see why there is this rule against double posts. I think that double posts are good when you are answering to conceptuall separate posts. I do not like separate answers in the same post and I propose a new rule against "sandwitch posts" (i.e. posts that put together several answers) and for multiple postings
Spock
09-24-2005, 11:14 AM
There isn't a rule against double posts. Duplicate posts should be removed. They sometimes happen when you hit the post reply button twice, resulting in the exact same message being posted twice.
Cutting and pasting answers to a second persons question isn't against rules at all.
This whole question, started by durinsbane has stalled this thread topic. We need to know who got the correct answer to the question and move on.

I don't have that book in english, I only have it in dutch, and there he's called Krenck (barto?)
but it was the son of the guy percy was working for. the father made polyjuice potion for his son with hair of the mother in it because the mother was dying of grief, so the father entered Azkaban with the mother (a dying person) and left prison with his polyjuiced son (a dying person), since the Dementors can't see, but only feel the lifestrength, they didn't notice at all, the poly juice was only so that other prisoners wouldn't alarm the Dementors.

The old one-two (referring to Dudley's boxing prowess)

Wizmil is correct, uncle vernon said "gave em the old one-two, ey?" oon which harry replied that you can't give the old one-two to dementors.

he apparated out, Fred and George chucked him in, but since one of the two cabinets was broken he couldn't get out anymore.

I wanted to know know how, which he answered right, as in F&G chucked him in. But no one answered why they chucked him in...
And yes, it was extraordinary... I suppose he must have apparated into the Borgin n Burks shop cos you can't apparate into Hogwarts, can you? But not so extraordinary, really, considering Harry once apparated to the top of his school roof when Dudley n his friends were chasing him... And he was probably concentrating REALLY hard, considering the no-food, no drink situation, and isn't that the first thing you have to do, one of those three Ds: determination, dedication or sth...

We talked about this in this very thread. There is some contraddiction, since in OotP we know he was found a Hogwarts' toilet.
Also, it is not that extraordinary since the book is consitent with Montague having taken the apparition course but failed the test, so at least he would have the theory of apparition "destination, determination..."

sooo, can we get a question?
Well. It has not been confirmed yet that I got the answer right.
But in the interest of keeping Durin from exploding of anticipation, here is the question:
After Harry witnesses in a dream the snake's attack on Mr Weasley, Dumbledore asks of his silver instrument two questions. What was the second question that Dumbledore asked to the silver instrument. And what interpretation do you give to the instrument's answer (any reasonable answer to this part of the question will be accepted)
Lord Choc Obo

"but in essence divided?"
DD was afraid that Voldy and Harry truly shared a soul, meaning that whoever was the strongest could totally control the other. naturally this would've been Voldy, if it wouldn't have been for the fact that only a small peeking hole was opened between their two completly different minds by voldies AK attack.
so in essence, their souls are still divided and not intertwined :D
or something like that, it's not easy to explain it all in english since the thoughts just go rushing through my head, and then I still got to translate 'em :D
The Wizard from Milan

Correct, Lord Choc Obo, you go.

Harry has a second piece of Voldy soul within his body. Harry is an unintended horcrux and that is what are causing all his Voldy-specific powers
