There's this National History Day huge project contest thing, and we're allowed to do pretty much anything history related. You can actually find a lot of information on 'Pirates' in general on the special features of the POTC disk where you walk around the ship.
In the captain's quarter's there are pictures that you can click on that have information on different pirates and their way of life. Hopefully that helps!

Will's father...you know, my sister swears up and down that he's alive. And he could be. But you know, he's at the bottom of the ocean, he might have been crushed anyways and couldn't get free and wold still be at the bottom of the ocean when the curse was lifted, in which case he would most definitly be dead. Then again, he could have gotton free and is now alive and well. And of course, he could have gotten free but was eaten by a shark and is now dead. So it wouldn't suprise me either way if Will's father is alive.

And that's the only one of your questions I can answer because I have no idea for a story line, and therefore no idea for characters, and therefore cannot put any actors to those characters.

What are your ideas?

Umm... I've gotta say my fave scene is a tie between when Jack steps off the boat at Port Royal and steals the guy's money, when he's talking with Murtogg and Mullroy (or something like that. I always forget their names) and when he gives the honesty speech. I have that thing memorized (almost)!! Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never know when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid. I also love that little thing with the sword tossing to Will and the beginning of the fight scene right after that.

hehe yes they do :D and once you become very familiar with the ride (I've been on it a ton of times:cool: :D ) you'll see many other things that were added to the film. :)

It was funny when I was watching the movie in the theater and the dogs scene came on, almost everyone either gasped or laughed with recognition. :D

i know this is totally off topic, but why would you want to see Ella Enchanted? they COMPLEATLY changed it(MY BABY!) and they made her so much like an American...she's not supposed to be like us...

I kindof wish they hadn't made PotC2, because the first one was really good...they did a really good job of tying up the loose ends too...yea usually Pirate Movies don't come along often, but you don't have to make a sequel to a perfectly good movie which stands perfectly by itself....what are your thoughts?

I agree with you, yet I can't help thinking about the Matrix, which had a)talented actors and b)an interesting storyline, but would have been perfect without a sequel, and in a way, kinda ruined/hurt the original movie. I don't want PotC to be spoilt for me in the same way. especially since I like it so much

Hmmm.... I wouldn't know, I haven't seen any of the Matrix movies. It's a goos thought, though. If it happened once, it could happen again. I just have a strong sucspicion that it won't be as bad as the 3rd, especially, Matrix movie was. The way everyone was going on about how much it sucked compared to the first one...

The problem with a second movie is that it's Disney. I was really impressed that they could make a movie as good as Pirates, but it will be a long shot if they can make another movie even half so great. If they ruin the sequel, however, they'll never live it down!!! Heh heh. I hope it's good, but if I let myself think realistically- I mean, it's Disney- they'll probably ruin it.

Yes, Pirates of the Carribean is In Disneyworld and it's also in Disneyland. And for your info the Pirates ride in Disneyland is better than Disneyworld. :D

I have a couple problems from what I've heard of the movie, and I'd like to mention them here, so I can see what I like and/or don't like about them when I see it.

- Biggest one: Lizzy/Jack. WHAT??!!! This makes NO sense. Since when does Elizabeth fall in love with a smelly, rum-sodden, salt-encrusted, bad-breathed scoundrel? This will take some explaining.

-Norrington?? How are you going to explain someone like him falling into that dissolute life that he so despises in the first film? And what about his replacement??

At any rate, my biggest fear is that the movie will be too corny. Like, all cookie-cut-outs and repeats of what they did before. Ah, well. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. :)

Just watched the first movie over the weekend. The monkey was alive but when it took the coin it once again became under the curse, dead. Also Jack, shot Barbarosa dead-after the curse was lifted so barbarosa had become alive and now is dead.
