She has met Orlando Bloom? Wow. What would I give for meeting him. But probably I would be to shy to talk to him.

Yah. If I meet hi, I would probably start shreaking, "OH, my god, oh my gosh, oh my, oh my!." Then I would start to shreak, and then I would probably pass out. I could may be squeeze in a, "can I have your autograph" before I faint but it would all depend. :D

I would probalby not recognize him. I would stand there and watch him and ask myself "Is it really Orlando Bloom?". I would do that till he would go away. I would doubt that he was really Orlando Bloom and I would be afraid of talking to the "Orlando". It could bethat it wasn't really Orlando and I didn't guess right. How embarrasing.

Can i please have an autograph? oh please please please?!' and he'd probably walk off muttering 'Crazy fangirl' and i'd grab onto his ankles and shout 'AUTOGRAPH! Lol! That would suck (askiing some ine for there autoghraph, and then turning out it wasn't him!). If I wasn't sure if it was him, i would just say Orlando Bloom loudly, and if it was him he would hopefully turn around. If it was him, I would either do what I said before, or become mute, and stare at him in fascination. Or maybe I would become shy and start mumbling words of praise. Or maybe I could act like a normale human.....nah! Imposible! ;)

I think if I met Orlando I should behave like a normal person, I mean I don't want him to think that I'm a fanatic freak and an idiot.

Lady of Rohan
03-14-2003, 05:48 PM
Most likely "or what". I don't think that I am a fanatic freak (but I don't really know what one is). I was more refering to the "idiot" part of your post. If being a fanatic freak means that you would go crazy or faint, then I am not a fanatic freak. When I said that I would pass out, I was WAY over exaggerating. If I meet him I would probably complement him, and ask for an autograph. Or go mute and just mumble some unadoble words (he would hopefully give me an autograph even if he couldn't understand me!). Sorry, if I confused you there! :)

I might consider myself a fangirl or I might not. My business is my own. I have been called a fangirl by quite a few people. What exactly IS a fangirl? Is a fangirl someone who just watches the movies because of the hott guys? Because I have this obsession with Aragorn and I think he is SOOOOOOOOOOO hott, but I that is not the only reason I watch it. I have also read some of the books.
Lady of Rohan

#1AragornLover, a fangirl is a girl, who is a fan, of an actor. Just because you are a fangirl, that doesn't mean that you only watch the movies because of that actor, it just means that you like that certain actor.

I am sad. They didn't give his charactor a nice as death as I wanted. Damn.
Also, now I have nothing to look forward to ever ever again.

But I think it's a good idea showing the younger Gollum in the Movie. the non-readers will understand better then, that Gollum was a normal creature then and had friends and all that stuff.

Today I was looking up a word in the dictionary and came across the word bilbo (did you know it means a bar with shackles on it; it also means a sword) I then spent the next 10 min. or so looking up other names to see if they might possibly have a meaning. I found pippin (it means many varieties of apples). When I went back to my studies, I couldn't remember what I was originally clearing. Oh, well, it was worth it.:D
Gwaimir Windgem
04-03-2003, 09:51 PM
I knew about Bilbo, but not Pippin. Though naturally I knew Peregrin...
I wonder if Tolkien knew about those? Or did he, as he said was the custom for male Hobbit-names, merely make up words, and they happened to coincide with those other words?

You can still be a strange adult. :) Referring to your second last post (I think); you can still be a child in your heart. Heck, my history teacher has been called childish, maybe weird, but she is fabulous. Turning 18 doesn't mean suddenly becoming all boring and adultish. Just have a healthy balance of craziness/childishness and maturity, I think. :D

Legolas/Orli still rox!
I wrote a limerick commemorating Aragorn, who is not nearly as good as Legolas:
There once was an old guy named Aragorn
Who loved to watch lots of hobbit porn
He went and he bought
Lots of hobbit pot
And is seen smoking weed every morn!
(hehehehe) (knocks over eowyngirl14's cardboard Aragorn stand up figure)

No matter what, My favorite character in any of the books or movies shall always remain GANDALF!!!!:D
But I love Billy Boyd and he is quite my type and his accent is the dreamiest thing I've ever heard.
I am two steps and one connection in Los Angeles away from stalking him;)

I went ahead and merged the Billy Boyd thread into the Fangirl thread, since that's where that kind of thing belongs.
And yes, I agree, Billy Boyd (as Pippin) AND his accent are very nice!:)

Is it possible to be a fangirl of Eowyn?
azalea

I would say yes -- I think one can like the character, admire her as a person, and think she's pretty. Sounds like a fan of Eowyn to me!:)

;) I'm diving in at the deep end (IE someone might already have mentioned this) but Eowyn's actress is a strange one.
In many of her previous films she looks tons older and, well, to put it bluntly, much uglier.
However, there's one film where she looks virtually identical to Eowyn. Apart from the fact she takes her clothes off in it :|
I'll not name the film cos of the youngsters around though ;)

I have never seen Miranda Otto in another film, but I love her as Eowyn and that is all that matters to me.

Sam (Sean Astin)!!!!!!
And Pippin (Billy Boyd)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ai, yi, yi; I can never make up my mind. They are both so . . . well, cute. Sam is my favorite today (but then I just watched The Goonies yesterday and totally love Mikey Walsh!!), but tomorrow it might be Pip.
P.S. Elijah Wood has beautiful eyes. Orlando Bloom is NOT hot!!! What is it with you girls and Orlando??? I just don't get it.

Orlando isn't the only droolable shapeshifter. Have you seen Brad Dourif's eyes? In every other thing ever he has these dark black eyes and in LOTR they are suddenly crystal blue.
WHAT?

I know, this is wierd with peoples eyes being different. It makes for harder remembering what color somebody's eyes are- and I already have a tough enough time with that.

But... I think Orlando Bloom is NOT hot - although I've only seen him non Legolas once, and he had horrible short dark hair - very manky :)
If you are going to be a fan-girl in love with someone from LotR at least make it Frodo - you'll get more swoon-worthy scenes that way as he looks more and more sorrowful and lost as the films progress :)
If I could look like one bloke from LotR it'd be Aragorn for sure - gimme masculine bit-o-rough looks over androgenous vanity any day!

Why do people always associate Legolas with some prissy, stuck up, manicured, pretty boy? (other than just being a joke) He is an elf, one of the most beautiful beings created. He's supposed to look good (I'm not saying hot) What'd you expect, a ranger?
I am NOT an Orli fangirl!! But he is cuter than Elijah Wood, who's eyes are just a little too big. :D And I am not going to get caught up in an argument over who's hotter. :p :D

QUE? Down all fangirls? Did you misspell something? I'm confused now.
Anyway, fangirls make up half the population, the female half. We haven't even begun to talk about the MALE Orlando fangirls. Um, fanguys.

My best friend is gay and he is a Viggoaholic.
Well, not quite. He doesn't know that the actor that plays Aragon is Viggo.
He's not a Tolkienite either.
So he kinda sucks.
But he thinks Aragorn is hot.

Are you saying that Hugo Weaving and all the other elf actors had to be manicured pretty boys? And Orlando does not have perfect hair during battle. He was just as dirty and grungy as the rest, well maybe not like Aragorn. You saw him, he was kicking ***. He didn't stay out of battle for fear of getting dirt under his fingernails.
