What happens when Frodo and his company are thrown into a new world? A world not like theirs? A world of witches and wizards? The world of JK rowling?
The fellowship goes through a portal when their path is changed in Moria. They fall into the world of Harry Potter and don't know what to do. They fall into a grassy maedow in front off a large magical castle.
I need some sharacters to start this off.
Name; Cody
gender: female(don't ask)
wand type: mohogany, phoenix feather and 6 inches.
age: 14
appearence: short, grey eyes, long brownish gold hair.
I look out from my window at the grounds of Hogwarts and started to think about how this year will tourn out. I was in the common room of Gryffindor and My owl sat next to me hooting softly as she slept. I looked at the lake and at Hagrids little cottage at the edge of the woods. My room mates were still in the main room talking to the rest of the Gryffindors. I was new here and knew no one. My father Lupin told my mother of Hogwarts and she decided to let me stay their and afterwords be with him. My mother worked in america in the ministry. My father had told me about the school and its wierd goings and its secret tunnels. it sounded like a great school.
Please join if you can. I need a fellowship and some students and teachers.:D

Hey, Beleg doesn't want to join--he said he didn't like how LotR was only like a side-portion of the story. Oh well :( I had an idea: Evelyn (that is me) could have alternate personality that she doesn't know about, but she is suspicious and scared about it. Her other name could be Cerridwen Willow... tell me what you think of this idea.

Deep in the Forbidden Forest Cerridwen Willow was running, running for all she was worth. There was a presence, it was tracking her, following her, trying to suck her soul away from her. As she ran she tripped, her long mane whipping her in the face. The amulet around her neck hit against a knot in a tree and she suddenly changed, flipping head over heels on the ground. She was Evelyn Merrywell...not Cerridwen Willow. What was she doing in the Forbidden Forest at this time of night??? She was scared half to death, and she could remember only two things: Running desperately with her heart in her throat and the an stone thunking against wood. She shook as she looked down at the beautiful red amulet around her neck in disbelief. With that she took off at a shaky gait to sneak back into the castle. She hoped Cody wouldn't find out about this, and if she did, she could not tell Professor McGonagall. No, she could NEVER tell Professor McGonagall!!!

I tossed and turned all night thinking about the next day and what it would bring. I coulden't sleep. I decided to get up and make my way down to the common room. I walked down the stairs quietly and sat down on one of the couchy(sp) chairs by the warm fire. i looked at the calender and saw that the week coming was going to have a full moon. I shivered. I would have to go through my monthly transformation that night. I dreded(sp) that night.
The port hole opend and destracted me from my deep thoughts. I looked around to see what was coming in. I could barly see who it was in the deep shadows that played around the students face. I decided not to bother with him or her.

Evelyn panted desperately as she flew past Cody. She was so glad Cody was half asleep and had no idea who she was or what she was doing. She fingered the amulet and gazed out the window. What had happened...?

occ: where did you go? I want ta keep this post alive.... just like you do! :( You're probably busy like me, though, right?
ic: Evelyn fell asleep and had a strange dream, stranger than any other dreams she'd had since she came to Hogwarts. She used to have such vision-dreams, when she was younger, but she hadn't in a long time. There was a man, dressed in black armour, with a bright gold ring around his finger. There was also a woman...no, it was a horse... or something like that....a silvery color, and the man was floating, no, flying after the silver horse woman. and the horse woman had Evelyn's amulet around her neck, and long, beautiful white wings. In her dream, the horse woman drew closer, and she could see that it was the torso of a woman, she had long straight black hair the sparkled and gleamed, even in the dark, and huge bright blue eyes with thick dark lashes. Her skin was fair and almost ivory-ish, until it faded down into the body of a horse covered with silver fur. SHe was a centaur, and she knew she must flee................

ooc: I was waiting for a post I could follow on. Sorry:rolleyes: (I am not being sarcastic I just think the rooley eyes look cute.)
ic: I don't remember falling asleep on the chair but when I woke up I was still sitting in the same couchy red arm chair that I was in the other night. I got up and was happy that no one else was awake. i did not want to be found sleeping in an arm chair as a first inpression. I stretched my limbs and made my way up the staires to my dormintory to get ready for school. When I entered I found the same girl I had seen the other night sleeping in the bed next to mine.
I got dressed quickly and as I desended the staires making my way to the porthole i was stopped by Jonathon. We walked down to breakfest and I told him of the girl i saw entering the dorm late last night.

ic: I sat next to Jonathon and started my breakfast rather hastily. I had not eatin dinner the night before because of the thought of this new school. The full moon was approaching rather faster than I had expected and I would be expected to transform into one of the most feared creatures in the wizarding world. A werewolf.
We recieved our scheduels by the head of our house Professore McGonagle. I looked at my list and saw that I had defense Against the dark arts first. I glanced at the table where the teachers sat and saw a shaggy wizard sitting next to our potions teacher Snape. (Can our new professor be Lupin? Please. I love Lupin.:D )

Evelyn shyly approached the girl named Cody who was sitting next to her friend, who's name she didn't know. "Hey..." she said. "Do you have Defence Against the Dark Arts next? If you do, maybe we could go to class together? I don't know anyone here, except for Dumbledore and Filch."
She smiled and blushed, she was shy here. Normally she wasn't shy, but for some reason she was around the students of Hogwarts. Why? And what had happened last night??

ic: A girl approached me as we began to eat our breakfast. She seemed to have the same schedual as I did and Jonathon and seemed to be quite nervouse. I looked at her and she reminded me of the girl you came through the port hole the other night. She sat down next to us and we began to talk about how the school year would go. We quickly became friends with the new comer not knowing each of us had a secret that could change it all.
We walked down to DEnfense Against the Dark Arts soon after the bell sang out. We entered the class to find...(so who does everyone want to be the professor. My vote is still fermly on Lupin.:) )

ooc: Entss What do you mean by "Same type of Sports"?
icWe arrived in our class and I sat next to Jonathon and Evelyn. The Shaggy robed professor named Lupin as he informed us told us about Boggarts. He lead us out into the corridor and into the teachers lounge. He told us to think of our worst fears then think of what would make us not fear the fear but find it amusing. My first thought flashed to the fullmoon but then a shadow in my mind kept flashing an image of a dark creature on a tall black horse. The creature cried out and its dark robed figure seemed to cover up a body of nothing. This thought brought shivers down my back and my heart sinced foreboding.

ic: The path soon was over shadowed by a large dark figure that seemed to blind us. I searched around with only my ears and hands for direction for the rest of thecompany. But I could only hear the desperate cries of Frodo wondering around scared. I finally found Legolas who with ease could see in the dark and directed the company back together. We continued down the trail clutching each other tightly as though our lives would all be taken if we let go of the others hand.

ic: I stepped foreword to the closet door and the figure that had lumed into my mind to my surprise did not come out but insted a glowing orb that was a full moon came out to grret me. I wipped my wand out a shouted Riddiculus and the moon fell to the ground and shatterd into unreparreble(sp) peaices. Next to my surprise the next thing the boggart turned into was a large dark figure as I had imagind earlier. Professor Lupin now alarmed at the creature steppped foreward and made it disappear.
Still shivering I returned to Jonathon and Evelyn who looked at me rather curiously but after the bell signald the end of first period was over they thought nothing of it and started toward the door.

The trees disappeared, the ground became harder.I began to panic. But we kept running, down the path, the grass and even the dirt disappering. Buildings began to loom around us, great stone buildings, but we kept running. "STOP!" I treid to shout, but I was to tired from the running and couldn't make a sound. I was practically being dragged so there was no way of trying to stop them phisically. And I could still feel the thing, the Ringwraith behind us.

Sorry I 'm Late! I couldn't find the RPG, but Here I am! Okay let me see...
I tugged Frodo along. I could feel something running behind us. "Run faster!" I shouted, but instead of getting faster we got slower because the ground turned hard with little stones that were hurting our feet. I felt that the wraiths were coming. "HURRY!" I screamed. Aragorn tugged Frodo so high he was almost carring him.

My voice hurt from trying to talk. But suddenly I could feel it, The ringwraith's horse bucked and turned around and ran. I knew that as much as the ringwraith would try he could not get the horse to follow us. We kept running though. Did not the others know? Did not the know that it wasn't following us anymore?
"Aragorn! It stoped! It isn't following!" I tried to say. Could he hear me? Could anyone?

Is that the barrier in Harry Potter when they get on the Hogwarts express? If it is than I'm gonna write 'bout it!
I was shocked. I knew that Aragorn was strong, but was he actually that strong to break a Barrier with his fist?! "Aragorn? Are thou alright?" I asked uncertianly. "yes..." answered Aragorn. Frodo said " What's going on?" I didn't answer butput my hand against the barier andslowly leant forward. I tumbled in a new room sort of place. I could hear the others calling my name from somewhere. "Legolas!" It was comming from the wall! I rushed to the wall and Then the others fell over through the wall! Aragorn started saying something, but I wasn't paying attention. I could feel something rumbling... The rumbling was getting closer and closer. "Shh!" I hushed. "Listen...."

I think it's a train station in Harry potter, Fred.
But just to be sure I'm not going to write about the train comming. I'll let Sircirus write more since I'm not sure.
What was going on?I thought. The others looked at me cluless. I felt something shaking in the air. "Do you not feel something?" I asked. Gimli shouted out "We are not elves! As Potions ended, Snape took away 25 Gryffindor house points and awarded Slytherin 5. The day was looking up.
As Arriana came out of the class room, some stupid prat of a Gryffindor ran into her.
"Idiot." She said firmly but without much interest. "You must get that from your dead-beat father huh? Tell me did he even tell you good-bye, I bet you cried, you are such the whiny crying type aren't you Gallaghan?" a smirk curled on her lips.

Rose snarled at the Slytherin girl and barely managed to keep from lunging at her. "My father," growled Rose, "is a good man!" Rose wished she weren't taller and probably stronger than the other girl. If the Slytherin girl had been stronger than Rose, Rose wouldn't have held back. Her father was a good man. If he hadn't done what he did, Rose could have lost both her parents. Sooner. Rose's father's attempt to save her mother hadn't worked. Well, it had for four years, and it saved her from the danger he'd been trying to keep her away from, but last year ... Of course, no one knew that Rose's mother had been in danger before that awful week except Rose and her father, and they had seen another peril. But Rose would never explain that to anyone, let alone some Slytherin.
Aeryn
10-27-2002, 09:50 PM

If he was so GOOD...*snickerS*...as you say he is wouldnt he owl you, tell you where he was?...Big surprise Gallaghan EVERYONE knows your a filthy stinking waif" Flung her book bag over her shoulder and strolled down the hall.
"See you later Orphan girl!" She was really hoping that would get a good reaction out of her. I mean, there was nothing better than making people mad.
Silverstripe
10-27-2002, 10:03 PM
This time Rose wasn't able to resist the urge to attack the Slytherin girl. She grabbed her and shoved her against the wall. "Don't you dare say anything about my father! You can insult me if you want but not him, all right? Not him!" Rose instantly felt ashamed of herself and backed away, a single tear in her eye.

Arriana was surprised but impressed that the Gryffindor girl had pushed her, she had put up no struggle, only smiled sweetly. Then she noticed something that made her even more happy, Snape was standing at the enterance of his class room watching the two girls.
"Smile for Snape" she whispered to the girl. Who whizzed around, and upon seeing who was watching, blushed scarlet.
Snape yelled from down the hall. "DETENTION!"
Arriana began to practically skip away when Snape said, "I said detention Miss Nott, where do you think you are going?"
Silverstripe
10-27-2002, 10:17 PM
Rose's mouth dropped open. What? Why in the world had Snape decided to punish the Slytherin girl, too?!
Aeryn
10-27-2002, 10:27 PM
Snape smirked at the look of shock on the twos faces. "go on to your classes, I shall give you your...sentences at dinner..." he didn't quite know what they would be yet, but he was going to think of something good." Arriana, I would have hoped more would come of you. go on both of you, Transfiguration class Arriana, or you will be late." He then turned on his heal and went back into the dungeon.
Arriana stared at the grinning Gallaghan. "Wipe that smirk off your face or I'll curse it off." She said as she strutted down the hall, think only of retaliation.

10-27-2002, 10:36 PM
Rose hadn't even heard Arriana's last remark, but her grin soon disappeared, anyway. Her initial delighted surprise when Snape had given a Slytherin detention had turned to puzzlement, and what could almost be called fear. Why had Snape chosen to punish them both? Especially when he had a good excuse not to. After all, Arianna Nott might have been insulting Rose and her family, but Rose had actually grabbed the other girl -- and she hadn't even fought back! Rose blushed again. There was definitely shame there, too. When will I learn to control my temper? Her parents would be disappointed in her.

Arriana thought dark thoughts all through Tranfiguration.
Snape was just looking for an excuse to punish a Death Eaters daughter wasn't he? And she didn't even support Voldemort!
Mrs. McGonagall snapped. "Pay Attention Nott! Your statue still has thorns left over from the cactus!"
She just glared at the severe looking woman.
~~~~LATER~~~~~
The Slytherins were all chat-chatting at dinner, eating roast and such, when Snape got up from the Staff Table, retrieved and Gryffindor girl, and came over to the Slytherin table.
"Nott, get up." He said, the girl next to him looked guilty and ashamed."you both will be in the kitchens, cleaning the dishes, no magic, also do not ask the House-Elves for help. They Won't.
Go to the bowl of fruit, and the password is apple cidar ....Have a nice night." He said with a snide glance and escorted the girls out of the Great Hall.
Rose arched an eyebrow. There had to be more to that punishment, surely? Rose was used to cleaning dishes, even lots of dishes, without magic. Her wealthy "muggle" uncle, aunt, and two cousins were always having dinner parties for 40 or 50 people -- or more -- and Rose always washed all the dishes afterwards when she was at their house. Alone. It wasn't that her aunt and uncle were being mean. She and her cousins all had something to do after dinner, and it usually took the rest of the evening. Besides, there were worse tasks than washing dishes! Then again, Rose was going to have to wash dishes with an enemy. An enemy she was still angry at, yet felt guilty about attacking, anyway.
Can I write about the trian now? I meant for you to write about that Sicirus.:)
I shut my eyes as a stream of steam whizzed by. When I opened my eyes a bright red thing stood there(I don't think The Fellowship knew what a train was). "What should we dooo?" whined Pippin. "I'm worried.." started Merry. Aragorn just kept silent unaware everyone was looking at him.
By the way Sicirus, I like the cha cha cha! :D
"What is that?!"asked Merry. Aragorn hadn't replyed anyone's questions. "Aragorn?" I said softly just to make sure he was alright. He didn't seem alright. His face was all pale as if he didn't have a clue what to do. "Aragorn!" I said louder. He jumped with a start as if he hadn't noticed we were there. "We'll have to figure out what this is before we do anything." he slowly replied. Everyone gaped at him. "Oh..." said Pippin "But, just tell me again how we are going to find out?" Aragorn went silent again.
I'm running out of ideas. Um, Sicirus? How come the Hogwarts Express is here if it isn't Semptember 1?
ooc: sorry. I was busy yesterday with homework to post any replies. It is true most of the hobbits did call Aragorn Strider but it really doesen't matter. They do not know it is a train yet I was just identifying it.
And this is Harry's sixth year but my 4th year. I know about the books.
ic: The fellowship looked questioningly at me. I was confused at the sight and all that had happend in such a short amount of time. I looked at the large creature and saw that it could not be anything that roamed Middle Earth. "We must try to find other creatures who might know of what this thing is." I siad camly.
We marched off to look around the thing for clues of what it was. At first we found nothing, but soon a person appeared coming out of the wall!
I jumped in alarme and took Anduril out as fast as I could. The person stared at me for a second then said in a controled voice"Hello" The person tried to controle the tone of fear in his voice but failed. I questiond him of the thing and was soon joined by the rest of the fellowship who seemed releived at the sight of the new comer.
My first potions class was hard but fun. I did not approve of our professore and his evr subtracting points from gryffindor. But all the same it went well. I saw that the Slytherins did not seem to like the Gryffindors nor approve of a fourth year Gryffindor being in a fifth year class. But I ignored the insulting coments behind my back. I worked on my potion with a girl much taller than myself named Gallaghan. She seemed nice and we got along.
IC: Rose listened as the House Elves shouted instructions to her and the other girl. Rose was used to being alone when she washed dishes, so she could think in peace. But now she was glad it was noisy. She still felt guilty and puzzled, and she didn't want to think about why she was here.
The Slytherin girl, Nott, was completely silent, which made Rose a little uneasy. Rose had never known Nott to be silent before now; the girl always had something rude to say to people. Rose almost wished Nott would insult her -- her silence was rather frightening!
That wasn't the only thing that was alarming, though. Suddenly Rose sensed that something was coming: something evil, something strong. It was a feeling she had had once before ...
Rose stood absolutely still, wondering if she should tell the Slytherin girl about her feeling. Nott would probably just laugh at her. But what did THAT matter? She always did that, anyway. Last time Rose had gotten this eerie feeling, her mother had been killed. Rose couldn't stay silent when the lives of another student -- and also the House Elves -- might be in danger. Nott would probably ignore her, but Rose had to warn her. The feeling of impending doom was getting stronger.
"Danger's coming," Rose said. "We have to get out of here." She waited for Nott to laugh or else ask her to explain herself, but to Rose's surprise, the Slytherin girl seemed to understand what she was talking about.
Rose clamped a hand over her mouth. She had not intended to say that, particularly to someone she had just met. Stupid, blabbing one of your secrets to a girl you've only known for a day, just because she reminded you a little of your father! thought Rose. She waited for Cody's response.
The halflings were laughing quietly, but I didn't see what was so funny. Gimli kept on grabbing his axe when one of the children came within a foot of him. I begane to crawl around crying out for it. My hand touched cold metal, and I picked it up. Relife, sweet relife my precious was back in my hands...mo! Not my precious, The Ring. Fellas, I do not like this place. We must get back to Middle-Earth. I know now that we are not in Middle-Earth, The Ring is panicking, trying ever harder to get back to it's master. *This was the first time I had ever mentioned the Ring's almost life-like qualitys to anyone, and the two looked at my strangly, as though, this time Frodo Baggins truly had gone off his rocker.* I mean what I say boys. ic: Rose is walking through a forest at night. It is a full moon. She knows how dangerous this is, but she must find her mother, who left for this place yesterday, saying she'd be back soon. She sees a blurred gray shape whiz pass her, and forces herself not to think about what it might be. Rose feels something evil approach, something she knows she cannot hide from. She turns to flee -- but she cannot leave until she finds her mother. She keeps walking, for what feels like many miles. A wolf howls, and Rose begins to walk faster. Then she sees Mum! Rose is about to run to her mother when she sees a dark figure next to her. Rose can hear her mother's voice, and another voice she knows she's heard before, but doesn't recognize. Rose is very frightened. She moves closer to her mother so she can hear the conversation. Suddenly her mother turns, a panic-stricken look in her eyes. "Watch over my Rose," she cries, and slumps to the ground. Rose screams and runs to her, but too late! Her mother is dead. Rose sobs uncontrollably. The dark figure joins her. He is angry and seems as grieved as Rose is. Rose still cannot recognize him, although she is sure she has seen him before, more than once. "Rose, run!" he says. Rose stays, still weeping. "Rose Gallaghan, if you loved your mother, go now!" She follows his command this time, running, running, running...
Rose snapped back to reality, and realized that she had been running in real life. Oh, no, not again! She was now outside, and Cody, who had apparently followed her, looked worried.
"Um ... Cody, where are we?"
Rose stood absolutely still, wondering if she should tell the Slytherin girl about her feeling. Nott would probably just laugh at her. But what did THAT matter? She always did that, anyway. Last time Rose had gotten this eerie feeling, her mother had been killed. Rose couldn't stay silent when the lives of another student -- and also the House Elves -- might be in danger. Nott would probably ignore her, but Rose had to warn her. The feeling of impending doom was getting stronger.
"Danger's coming," Rose said. "We have to get out of here." She waited for Nott to laugh or else ask her to explain herself, but to Rose's surprise, the Slytherin girl seemed to understand what she was talking about.
Arriana nodded, "House-elves, Professor Dumbledore wanted to speak to you, he said he had some VERY hard chores for you to do. I almost forgot to say anything."
The House-elves looked horrified. They all *POP* and were gone.
Arriana looked at the other girl who was looking quite pale. "Calm done, I don't know what is going on but we better leave." she hissed
She led them out of a small exit, and some stuff happened. (sorry, but I am real confused) Gallaghan began spilling her guts,and another Gryffindor joined them, Cody was her name. Arriana didn't remember her.
ic: Cody: I followed Rose out into the corridor and she spoke to me of her mutual feelings of danger. She also let out a thought that seemed to be a mistack to say out loud. She told me that she had felt this feeling before when her mother had passed away. I bowed my head down and stayed silent. I felt sad to hear that such a good person could lose their mother or father. Then my mind flashed to my own lose of my parents. I stared to wimper in pain of my heart. But as I did Rose stared to go into a transe. She muttered al ittle then ran. Being short was hard when trying to keep up with a tall person running. I ran after her trying to figure out why she was headed towards the door. She went out the door and into the cool night air. She ran across the campos and around towards a silverish tree ahead of us. Then as we neared the edge of the forest Rose stopped and blinked dazed. When she finally gained conciouse(sp) of our wearabouts she looked around wildly and questioned me on were we were. I was as confused as she was. I looked to the sky and to my great horror a full moon was being un veild by the grey clouds.
I backed away in horror. I croaked what was left of my unshcken voice to tell Rose to run. Run away as fast as she could. But why was she not listening to me?
"RUN." I shouted to her confused look.
I backed away and stared towards the forest as fast as I could feeling the claws slowely appear on the tip of my fingers. I made it to the forest but I screamed out in pain that made me worry that Rose may come to investigate my shocking behavier.
I hoped she would get the message and run.
Ic: ARAGORN: Alot of the girls around us stared to give Legolas looks of admieration(sp)made him uncomfterble. The kids explained that they were going to a school called Hogwarts and they were coming late in the second quarter of the year. They were arriving as exchange students from other schools.
Boromir seemed amazed at the many odd children and stayed silent from shock. I stepped in front of Legolas as two giggeling girls v=came towards him looking rather as though they were in a dream. legolas blushed. The boys loked at him in disapproval. Frodo spoke secretivly to Pip and I worried of his burden. Could all these children really be sorcereres and if so was these making the ring want a new bearer.
ooc: Starting this in the train station was a horrible idea for they have no way of getting onto the train and I though tat they could meet Cody and Rose while they were in the forest.
Cody, now fully in wolf-form, ran off into the night with a mournful howl. A look of great fear came over Nott's face, and she ran back to Hogwarts. Rose was not sure whether the Slytherin girl would follow her last instructions. I meant every word of that, Nott, so you had better keep your mouth closed... thought Rose. Not that Rose would actually kill Nott for telling about Cody, but she would most certainly make Nott regret her speech. She did a thorough check to make sure that the Slytherin girl had really left, then decided it was safe to reveal her own secret. Swiftly, she shifted; her form shimmered and then the girl Rose was gone and there was a white horse in her place. She snorted softly, then ran to look for Cody.
name: Freesia MacIntire
age: 15
history: family life happy, but she is unsatisfied with what she has accomplished...dyslexic...very hard on herself she pushes herself to exhaustion to overcome her difficulties, exiling herself for fear of not being accepted.while feeling slightly overshadowed by harry potter, she knows she has much to reccommend herself if she could only bring herself to stick out.
freesia sat in the window seat growling at anyone who looked her way...she was ready to hex the second years who kept calling her "carrots" because of her cursed orange hair.no longer pretending to be absorbed in her book, Freesia turned to gaze out the window.the stars are so nice here...you can actually see them...there are so many, I... she broke off her thought and peered through the gathering darkness to the ground below. what were those students doing out on the grounds? the little black shapes bobbed across the grounds, obviously at a full run, but moving like ants across a puzzle. she squinted as one of the shapes grew larger and darker, blending into shadow. one of the blobs headed back to the castle at top speed. as she watched, her attention was drawn to the one black spot of student on the lawn below. she blinked as a white horse suddenly appeared from nowhere, moving swiftly towards the Forbidden Forest.
glancing surreptitiously around the common room, she stretched nonchalantly closing her book and heading for the tapestry by the side of the portrait hole.if she could get into the shadows she could slip away unnoticed. her haven reached, she gently pushed aside the portrait of the fat lady and decended the stairs to wait in the shadows of the main doors for the returning miscreants.
Arriana had to laugh once she made it inside the castle. How would that Gryffindor DARE threaten her...They would pay, especially after she ...she visably shook her head. Next time, there would be no saving of that girl, that stupid Gallaghan.
Arriana skipped down to the dungeons, and found her way to the entrance of her common room. "Bad deed" she said. She walked into the common room and no one was around, Good, she thought.
She began to get her cauldron ready. She let it simmer and quickly added 2 eyes of a Re'em, 1 cup of newt bladder, and a few other oddments. She would be prepared for the disasters to come.
The white horse continued to search for her friend. Suddenly she heard something whispering to her. "Rose Gallaghan…Rose…Rosie…" It called her by the name that her father used to! "Come…come to me…I will help you find your friend…and defeat your enemies…" Rose decided that this was NOT good news. Whatever was calling her was evil, extremely powerful … and approaching fast. Yet her nose told her that Cody's route had been perpendicular to the place the voice was coming from -- and there was no way she was leaving without Cody. Rose ignored the voice and kept trotting towards Cody. "ROSE!" hissed the voice, "I can help you find your father. Let me help you, Rose…COME TO ME!" The voice frightened Rose out of her wits, yet at the same time, she could not help being drawn to it. And then she felt another power even more evil and deadlier than the first. She panicked; her mind told her she could not be here alone, but her heart would not let her leave her new friend behind. Rose ran towards Cody as fast as she could.
ic:Merry: Without pausing to think, Merry plunged after Frodo. The Ringbearer should not be alone. Though Merry had absolutely no idea where Frodo was going...
ic:Rose: The evil came faster, and Rose broke into a gallop. The voice continued to call, more loudly this time. "Rose...do not run, I will help you, I KNOW WHERE YOUR FATHER IS, Rose!" The pull was getting harder and harder to resist, but she knew she could not give in, and now the other power was also getting stronger. Rose turned to flee, but suddenly the evil surrounded her and there was no direction to go. I should've gone back when I had the chance! Then Rose saw the most absurd thing. An odd child was running through the Forbidden Forest alone, and then another child came into view behind him.
Turning back to tear and feast on their soft human flesh. My mouth stared to drool and my stomach growled but I ran on. Then I heard soft hoove beats behind me and my mouth had the same drooling sensation as with the humans. In the distance I saw a magnifisant white horse running mjy way. I bounded swiftly towards it not out of hunger but curiosity. The horse seemed confused and a bit scared. i approached the horse and found that the sent of it was the same as the sent of Rose. ic: The Voice that had been speaking to Rose cut off. She was relieved for an instant, but then, out of the corner of her eye, Rose saw Cody come racing toward her. Oh, no, not NOW! Rose had counted on finding Cody alone, with no humans about! She approached the children, cutting them off from the werewolf, rearing on her hind legs and whinnying wildly, desperately trying to make them understand that they must leave. And suddenly there were three grown men behind them, with two more children. It looked like Cody might be the one in danger, after all. Rose plunged back to meet the werewolf, driving her friend back from the humans with all her might. Fortunately, the human part of Cody wanted to cooperate, so it wasn't quite as much of a struggle as it could have been.Only a little while longer, Cody, just a little longer, the night's nearly over... Soon Cody would begin to transform back into a human, and in the morning Rose would go find out who those children were. Idiots, wandering off alone in the Forest, and on a full moon, at that!
She looked at the one "man's" ears, and noticed then that he, at least, could not possibly be human. "All right, all of you, come with us back to the school. You have some explaining to do." And so will Cody and I, we've been out here all night! Rose realized suddenly. She was incredibly frightened, but tried to look confident and in-charge. "And you," she said to the Not-Human, "cover up those ears of yours. No telling what might happen if you don't. We should go now, there is something with great power...something evil...in this Forest." She grabbed the child's -- or was he a child?--hand again, this time more gently. The company that had been called the Fellowship followed her, and the first "child" spoke to her some more, less harshly than he had before. Since Cody had been so quiet, Rose didn't notice when Cody left her and "the Fellowship" and ran back to the castle ahead of them.
The other short one of us, though still a bit taller than us hobbits, is Gimli the dwarf. The blond one's Legolas, the elf. Then we have to men, Borimir and Aragorn. *I explained to her that somehow we had stumbled into her world, while running from enimies. I said nothing about The Ring, for I felt if it was to be talked about Aragorn would, and aside from that, I did not trust her, infact I found myself camly, but quickly pulling my hand from her's, for I could not compleatly trust her, I knew.*
She allowed him to pull away from her, for now she could trust the members of the Fellowship not to run away. Rose...... the voice whispered once more, desperately. It was getting weaker, yet she felt that that should not make her fear the voice any less. Again she tried to ignore it and loudly began to explain Hogwarts and the magical world to the Fellowship.
ic:Merry: Merry noticed that Frodo was getting further and further behind, and he and the other hobbits ran back to join him. They would not let the Ringbearer wander off alone again.
ic:Rose: Rose and the Fellowship finally reached the school. "Shhh..." warned Rose. "We have to be quiet. If anybody sees us, well, I'll be in a lot of trouble and I don't know exactly what will happen to you, but I don't want to find out." She tiptoed in as quietly as she could, Now, the hobbits can pass as children, but how are the men and the ... elf... Rose frowned, thinking of how unlike the "elves" she was familiar with Legolas was ... or the dwarf, going to blend in? But they seemed perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, so Rose said "All the tall ones should perhaps stay outside right now. I think I can get the hobbits in, but anyone else will be a challenge." Sam, Merry, and Pippin stepped forward, but Frodo shrank from her, obviously not trusting her. She was beginning to get impatient with that hobbit. "All right, then, Frodo, you can stay out there, for all I care!" She realized that she was acting hostile again and said in a more polite tone of voice, "Frodo, I know you don't trust me. You don't have to. I do need someone to go into the castle with me, one of the hobbits would be best, as they're smaller." Frodo continued to glare at her suspiciously, never saying a word.
ic: Merry: "I'll go with you," said Merry. He was possibly the best choice for this, too: Frodo could not risk trusting this strange girl, Sam would never leave Frodo; and as for Pippin, he was too, well, Pippin. The girl Rose looked at him with some respect. "Right, then, Merry. You and I will go inside...and as for the rest of you, will you PLEASE try to stay out of trouble."
ic:Rose: Rose and Merry tiptoed into the castle, and saw no sign of anyone. Quietly they made their way toward the Gryffindor common room, and then, as they reached the portrait of the Fat Lady..."What are you doing?" whispered a familiar voice. Rose's fellow fifth year Gryffindor, Freesia MacIntire, was standing in the hall.
As professor Snape came running out of the SLytherin common room, he ran straight to where Arriana was walking. "WHat were you doing outdoors in the night, and why did you send the House-elves to Dumbldore." He hissed in her ear, wrenching her arm.
"I was following that stinking little Gryffindor, SIR!" she spat back in his face, pulling hard against him. "You don't even want to know WHY. You just...FAVOR HER!" she said. She had never spoken like this to a teacher, not even that lame game-keeper Hagar, or whatever.
Snape stood dumbfounded for sometime. They had been out last night? Why? He would speak to Rose about this. But in the mean time. "Miss Nott, 10 points from Slytherin."
Arriana opened her mouth in protest, but Snape butted in, "Yes, from my own house! You will also be serving detention with me after classes...for the next week."
Snape hurried off to find the Gryffindor common room.
Rose chewed her lip nervously. How was she going to explain all this to Freesia? She looked over at Merry. Of course! Merry!
"It's my...cousin," said Rose. "Martin." 'Martin?!' Why couldn't I have thought of a better name?! "He's just arrived, a little late, and he went off walking alone, and I couldn't let him be out there by himself, you see, but I didn't want to get him in trouble..." She broke off, knowing her fear was showing through. "Oh, Freesia, don't tell anyone!"
Freesia looked a bit disgusted at the thought. She nodded and left without another word, but Rose could tell she wasn't satisfied with the explanation. Freesia would be back...but in the meantime, Rose had to figure out what to do next!
Snape came storming up the many changing staircases nearly stepping on the trick stair only to catch himself in time. He found the Fat Lady, and right infront of it was the person he was hoping to see, and someone he would have NEVER a expected to see.
Snape snapped, "Shut your mouths they are gathering dust!" they did so, "Okay, let me think...." He began muttering under his breath.
ic:Merry: The hobbit was so relieved to meet someone who knew about hobbits that he told the truth about how they'd arrived and what had happened afterwards, without thinking of the possible consequences. "We were on our way to Moria, and I'm not quite sure what happened, but we -- got lost. And we all wound up at your..." he struggled to remember the right word ... "trainstation." Except Gandalf, but Merry didn't add that detail. He proceeded to tell of their ride on the train, and of how they all followed Frodo into the Forest, and met up with Rose and another student called Cody, and finally, of how they had followed Rose back to Hogwarts. "And the rest of us are waiting outside right now," he finished.
ic:Rose: Rose glared at Merry. He should not have given away where she had been, but it could be even more dangerous for Cody. Snape would surely demand Rose's reasons for being in the Forbidden Forest! And how could she tell him that?
Arriana decided if a week of detention was what she got for something so minor, she would pull something big. Disappearing into the Black Forest would be good, she thought. She went back into the common room, and took some of the potions she so often kept extra's of, it was of course only to help her until she managed to change consciously. She suddently became invisible, she snuck back out of the room, and weaving in between students made it out of the dungeons, past the Great Hall, and out of the front door. She giggled, she was VERY happy she sprits her clothes. She headed out to the Forbidden Forest. Although, what she did NOT know was that she had dropped her wand outside the Great Hall. She was going into a dangerous place, without protection...
ic:Rose: Rose ran out on Snape and never looked back. Oh, she would get in big trouble, all right. But something told her the Fellowship was in danger, and she had learned not to ignore her feelings. Rose didn't see Nott's wand lying in the Great Hall as she ran outside -- but Merry did, and picked it up. When Rose and the hobbit reached the spot where they had left the Fellowship, the company was no longer there. With a feeling of utter horror, she realized that they had gone back into the Forest. Rose sighed and went running to find them, pulling Merry along with her.
The potion soon wore off, and Arriana found herself in unfriendly territory. She was so busy looking at the ominousness of the trees she tripped over a tree root and fell face down onto the ground, hitting her head anf falling unconscious.
Reality pounded on her brain. Where am I? She thought. What time was it?> Was another question. She opened her eyes, and a man came into view, bending over her, a look of worry on his face. But this was no man. He was nothing she had ever seen before...very tall and graceful, gorgeous brown hair and lightening blue eyes. And, if she wouod have felt up to it, she would have giggled at his attire and his pointy ears. He spoke in a musical language, lulling her back into sleep.
we last saw freesia in the tower at the portrait of the Fat Lady....now we continue from where we left her
Freesia scowled. it seemed to be her most frequent action lately.. but she had a lot to think about. she was CERTAIN (NOT Sartan for whoever has read the Deathgate Cycle, and is familiar with the goings on of a "sartan" Zifnab {a most powerful wizard, oh yes} and his dragon...*the name's Bond....James Bond* *oh. they talk like that down in texas...wasn't sure...*) that rose had been fibbing when she had tugged on the arm of her cousin 'martin' (rather original, eh, silver). he had looked scared, which was fishy. she hadn't seen any curly haired, short and plump children at the sorting, but he could have been in a different house(which wouldn't explain WHY rose would have been taking him to the Gryffindor common room). he hadn't even been wearing hogwarts robes. plus he looked as if he were a shrunken 20 year old...she hadn't taken art for nothing, and could tell if and when a body was out of proportion to its age. she must think i'm really dumb thought freesia then again everyone does..i should be used to it by now...but i thought she was my friend
frowning again, she growled dangerously at a group of cocky second year boys, as she pushed her way over to the girls stair case. she needed to be somewhere quiet to think. the common room was not the place to find solitude. reaching the dormitory was a relief, and she went to the window seat to mist the window with her breath and study what she knew, and to puzzle what she hadn't learned out. interesting that rose had disappeared to do her detention in the kitchens for several hours, and within the next half hour she was down on the front lawn, her horsey gait distinguishing her from above. next a black shadow and a white horse appear from where she and another student had been standing...she had some of it figured out, rose must be an animagious or whatever it was, and whoever had been with her must be too. since she had appeared to be toting her 'cousin' around the school it seemed appropriate that the second animagious would be him. it wasn't unheard of for a youth to figure out the tricks of a spell like that, and freesia could understand why rose wouldn't want anyone to know. 'martin' looked old enough to take care of himself....so rose and 'martin' were animagious. that sounded logical, but 'martin' WASN'T logical. hadn't rose told her that her father's only sibling and older sister had four girls the oldest one about 8? rose's mum's sister and husband were celebrating the birth of their twin sons, a few months old now. and rose's uncle and his wife were newly wed. none of the choices were right for 'martin' to even be remotely related to her. he didn't even look like rose. Ghandi, her mail-umbrella cockatoo flew over. he settled on her chest, fluffing his feathers and looking for all the world like a solemn monk. he reached up, gently and affectionately bit her nose, and poked his head under her hand.
as the prickle from his sharp beak faded, Ghandi's beady eye emerged from beneath her hand and fixed her with a glazed and slightly philosophical stare as he murmered at her "To be or to be is not a question."
"How appropriate," she said aloud as she snuggled him closer, smoothing his rumpled feathers."People i think i know turn out different and untrustworthy, the teachers can't see me for who i am, and my bird's an oracle.....*hopelessly* and i don't even know where to look now." She sighed and shifted her position.
Ghandi lost his balance and rather took offense at this. He ruined the moment by beating her on the head with his wings at the same while squawking indignantly "Don't poo on the rug!"
She explained what had happened, including why she had left, for she felt that this man, and also the elf Legolas, were not to be deceived, nor was it likely that she could successfully hide part of the truth from them. Rose sighed. She certainly hadn't fooled Freesia earlier, but she hadn't been up to a long explanation then. Aragorn, to her surprise, did not seem angry that she'd left Frodo and Merry. He did, however, tell her that she must help find them. Rose nodded and she and the Fellowship began walking quickly through the Forest, looking anxiously for the missing hobbits, but not calling them for fear of bringing some evil on their trail. Legolas: Estel the mare needs help.
Frodo before I could stope him ran after the mare in hot pusuet. I ran after him followed by the rest of the eager fellowship who wanted to get away from the invisible danger. We caught up to the the horse but did not find the young mare but a girl. She took us to a castle she called Hogwarts. Just as the children had called it back at the other starnge place.
The girl told us to wait outside as she took Frodo and Merry into the castle. I did not wish to remain in hopes to find a way out in that forest. As I did I found an odd cottage then out of the door of the castle Frodo came bounding out looking dazed and sleepy. He towards the forest and I followed followed by the girl and Merry. The cold air made me shiver and Rose resumed her human form.
Rose looked at me worriedly but then was occupied with the sight of the strange humans running towards us. I panicked and without looking back ran towards the castle to avoid their presence. Rose loked back at me then at the strange humans again. I returned to the castle and rushed myself to the hospital wing. Ms. Pomfrey was not to happy to see that I had not met her at the front door and had put Rose in danger . She healed my wounds and gave me some potion to drink. I laid in bed thinking of the danger I had put my new friend in and the Slytherin girl.
Would she tell of my curse?
I was worried of being kicked out of Hogwarts which was pretty much the only school that accepted me. Dumbledore came to me and told me that it was ok and that I would be able to stay. I was overjoyed at this news and hugged Dumbledore. He seemed surprised at this move but he laughed.
I sat in bed and wandered about Rose and what was with the strange short fellow. I sat up and looked out the window and to my shock I found Rose running towards the FF with more strange people following her.
What the Illuvatar is going non here?
ic:Rose: Rose and the Fellowship made their way out of the Forest, and nothing else had attacked them since she had stopped Frodo from walking towards the center of the Forest while in his trance. The fact that nothing had threatened them again worried Rose even more than it would have if something had happened to them before they could get out of the Forbidden Forest. It was as if someone had ordered anything that could harm them to stay away from them for now... someone a great deal more evil and powerful than anything Rose had encountered before.
Rose decided not to say anything about this to the Fellowship, and grimly pressed on towards the castle.
Arriana was having wonderful dreams about a land that didn't exist, full of wonderful creatures, tall things with pointy ears, short things with beards...and a severly bad temper, and shorter things with humgously hairy feet. She had remembered her father telling her stories about such creatures Elves Dwarves and Hobbits, but they never existed, then she realized she wasn't dreaming...She screamed and the elf carrying her nearly dropped her in surprise.
"Will you shut up?" came a cold scolding voice, Rose Gallaghans voice.
"How the bloody hell did you get here?" She asked. She hated being followed. She fumbled for her wand only to realize she didn't have it. She opened her eyes wide with shock and horror.
"My bloody wands gone give it back Gallaghan!" she said, squirming out of the elf's grip.
Rose was concerned that the Slytherin girl had lost her wand, but really, Nott shouldn't have accused her of stealing it!
"I don't have your bloody wand! As for what I'm doing here, I'm trying to help the Fe--" she cut off in mid-sentence, suddenly remembering that Nott knew nothing of the Fellowship. "Never mind about me, what are you doing here? And without your wand, too?!"
Arriana did something very childish then. She stole the girls wand a quickly performed a hex, "BURNUNCULOUS!" she said. Gallaghan broke out into huge blistering boils.
Arriana smiled, she then performed another spell, "ACCIO WAND!" almost immediatley her wand came whizzing into the forest. "Much better." she said.
the group of odd fellows were apalled.
"What?" She said, "She's just a stupid Gryffindor."
Arriana tossed Gallaghan her wand, her tear streaked face now littered with red boils. "I can fix it, if you promise not to get me Baaack." She knew Gallaghan would except, it was advanced healers magic that could fix it. Most 7th years couldn't handle it. Arriana was so elated.
OOC: I am sorry, I'm just a bit bored. :D
For a moment Rose thought of accepting, then suddenly her anger and pride got the better of her, becoming stronger even than her pain.
"No, Nott," she growled, "And I won't get you back, but I'll be..." she swore "if I let you do this to me! No, I won't take your cure..." Suddenly, although Rose was not aware of it, a red gleam came into her eyes, and Nott stepped back, looking terrified.
ooc: It's all right, Aeryn, so am I. :D
"Is that so?" she said, not sure what to do, something VERY odd was going on with Gall.
"Fine, I will find MY way back to the castle by myself..." she walked off, useing her wand as a compass.
Rose waited until Nott had gone to exclaim, "Ouch!" Now, finally, Aragorn and Legolas didn't seem to be so angry with her; they simply looked concerned. "Look, I'll be all right, I can find someone to take care of this later, don't know how Nott learned it though..." She sighed. "Let's go." She began trudging back to Hogwarts, the rest of the Fellowship following. She had almost reached the castle again when she ran into Dumbledore. And standing at the Headmaster's side, waiting for an explanation, was Snape.
OOC: Ah yes, faithful Snape.
IC:
Dumbledore's eyes had a strange excited light in them. He looked at the Fellowship...yes...he knew they were THE Fellowship. "You...must be Aragorn." He said, putting his hand out to shake the Rangers hand.
Snape whispered excitedly, "So...they are...you mean...you are..." He for once in his life couldn't find the right words to describe it.
Arriana found the castle quickly, and snuck through the doors, thinking herself very clever. But awaiting her was Dumbledore and Snape. She fidgeted.
"Er, hello Headmaster..." she said, guilt prevelant in her voice.
"Hello Ms. Nott." He said almost cheerily. "Would you be so kind as to wait in my office? Your friend Ms. Gallaghan will be up there-"
She interupted, "She is NOT my friend."
"Not yet?" he said amusingly. "Well, anyway, the password is 'Lollipop'. Go on!" He called
She skated around Snape who was looking daggers at her. She though to herself, What is a lollipop?
She made it to the goblin, and after giving the password, climbed the old narrow and all too familiar steps to Dumbledores office.
Then Aragorn laid Frodo on the ground. Rose realized she'd forgotten about him and murmured "Oops," at the same time remembering that she should be in extreme pain after Nott used that curse on her. And she wasn't.
Snape turned his beady eyes on Gallaghan. "Out in the Forest I see? NOTHING gives you the right to be there. Go up to Madame Pomfrey, those boils look terrible...What happened? Oh nevermind, 5th years silly nonsense, after you see Poppy, go up to Dumbledore's office, I believe you will find it open." He commanded.
Dumbledore looked at the Hobbits, "And which one of you is the bearer?" he asked kindly.
Frodo spoke up, he felt like he knew Dumbledore. He reminded him a great deal of Gandalf, "I am sir." he said meekly.
After a great deal of fussing over something which no longer even hurt, Madame Pomfrey finally let Rose go. She half-ran to Dumbledore's office, dreading what he would have to say, but thinking that anything would be better than staying here. As Snape had said, Rose did find Dumbledore's office open. She climbed the stairs two at a time, only to be greeted with a sight that made her regret moving so fast. Arriana Nott was already there.
Arriana groaned, "What the hell?" she didn't wait for an answer, she pushed past Gallaghan and walked towards the stairs (where the exit was).
Rose said, "Hey! What are you doing you are supposed to stay here--"
"I don't care, I'll be expelled. Surprise surprise!" Although inwardly, Arriana feared just that. Would her father disown her as he promised? Well, he promised he would disown her for alot of things....
"Look, if anyone's expelled it'll probably be me, all right?" said Rose angrily, "and I'm not running away, unlike YOU! You're just a bloody coward!" Rose clamped a hand over her mouth in horror. What was she saying? She'd never been this mean to anyone before, even Nott! And Nott wasn't really a coward, you could say anything else about her, but not that! What was happening to her? "Sorry," she murmured, "I don't know what came over me, I..." she turned away, blushing furiously.
Arriana didn't know what to think, she was mad enough to kill, forgetting all about magic she jumped on Gallaghan and began punching her.
OOC: I did, but Pollux DIDNT take her soul, see the Discussion board for my comment. *giggles* Gotta feel bad for Becca's character...:D
Also, man, I am sorry, but I feel like beating SOMEONE up! :D
ic: Rose giggled a bit when Nott began hitting her, she thought it was a little funny, as it didn't hurt at all! Then Rose realized with a shock that she didn't feel anything. Nothing at all. She was completely numb.
Dumbledore walked in to see Arriana Nott attacking an expressionless Rose.
ooc: You can't beat Rose up in this state, there's no satisfaction in it! There's another one, I'll give details in Cahara. :D
Hey! Arriana isn't weak!
IC: "Stop laughing you imbecilic little twit, no father, I bet you BEG for attention from every gryffindor boy, I'm a coward, I'll show you coward I'll--"
"MISS NOTT! That is quite enough!" Dumbledore boomed.
Upon Dumbledore's entrance, Rose felt neither surprise, shame, nor relief. She simply felt light...free...too free. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew something was dreadfully wrong, and that whatever it was, she had to fight. Then the red light came back into Rose's eyes, and she cried out without knowing what she was saying,
"ASH NAZG DRAKATULUK, ASH NAZG GIMBATUL..." before she could get any further, she heard another cry, a cry of extreme concern, and slipped into oblivion.
ooc: *laughs* Had to do it.:D
Arriana screamed, not out of concern, but as soon as that language was spoken her eardrums seemed to bust into a million pieces, blood red tears streaked her cheeks, and ran out of her ears.
Both Snape and Dumbledore took Rose to the Hospital wing. Arriana, having been magically fixed, once again sat alone in the Office of Dumbledore, then a sudden flourish of color passed her periphrial vision, she turned her head quickly, and saw the most beautiful bird she had ever seen. A Phoenix, she knew his name, Fawkes, only by rumor and legend that often ran through the corridors at Hogwarts.
"H-Hello." she said uneasily. The bird cocked its head sideways, seemingly with concern, Arriana laughed at this, she laughed and laughed, she laughed for a really long time...for no apparent reason///
