do you have dreams about LotR?
I had one once where I was an archer (human I think) in a battle in Ithilien, and all the archers could fly! I also had another one where I was playing tag, I was Frodo and Sauron was It.:o

I had a nightmare of LOTR once. Scared the hello outta me. I was running through this dark forest and clutching something in my hand, which was the One Ring, and something was chasing me. I looked back and saw a Nazgul hacking away branches and running after me so I put on the Ring and disappeared. Then, someone was yelling my name and I dashed out into a dirt road path and saw far ahead Aragorn (Viggo) and Frodo (Elijah) calling out for me and the rest of the Fellowship following them (Gandalf, however, wasn't there). I screamed "Help!", but they didn't hear me and something jumped on my back. I felt this sharp pierce in my back and screamed, then woke up sweating. I didn't understand it one bit. It felt as real as day, though, which was the scary part. If anyone is good at deciphering dreams, tell me your opinion. Maybe I just obsess too much over LOTR :D

Well, the only person that will understand this is me, but I have a teacher named Mr. G, and he's really short (like, 4'6'') and I had a dream that he was Bilbo, and all of his students were Balrogs (me included) and we chased him off of a cliff, but then the principle came and saved him....I had this dream right before he gave us a test... :o

I had a dream where impersonators of the principal cast came to my house.
"You're not real, are you?" I said.
"No," they said.
"I'm dreaming, aren't I?" I asked.
"Yes," they replied.
Then I woke up.

People in the park Playing games in the dark
And what they played was a masquerade
From behind the walls of doubt

I had a dream where Smeagol sneaked into the house and I came face to face with him in the dark with his eyes glowing.
I turned on the lights and he turned into this life-sized gummi gollum and I helped myself...

I got most strange dream last night...Yes, of LotR...
I was playing poker in big groub. Shares were Nine Rings, Seven Rings, Three Rings and One Ring. Players were, exept me, Sauron, Nazgûls, Gandalf, Elrond and Galadriel. Everybody was saying, that Sauron cheats, but in the end was found out, that Gandalf had been cheating all the time, when all were accusing Sauron...
I won two of the Seven Rings and one of the Nine, when I quitted (felt like I was going to lose next time).
I can't remember, how it ended, though...
That was one damn odd dream...:D :D

Do you ever notice that you never seem to be able to dream about what you want. The harder you try, and the more you think about it, the less likely it is to happen. At least for me anyway. The closest I ever get to dreaming about the books or characters is, (don't laugh) I dream I am on the message board talking about it to you guys. Isn't that a bummer?:( I mean I can wake up and make that dream a reality.

I have had two notable LOTR dreams:
In the first one, me (and possibly a few of my friends) were standing beside a river: not a woodsy river, but a canal running through a city. A bier is floating down the river, made of compacted garbage-- newspapers and bottles and such squished together into a sturdy rectangle. Upon it lies a dead Galadriel. There are flowers in her hair. (I'm not usually this morbid. I was having a conversation with a friend about all the death and fading in LOTR, and this is how it manifested itself.) The dream soon turned into something about "Dude, Where's my Car" (a very silly movie that I wouldn't recommend seeing unless it's 3 AM and you've had too much caffeine).
The second, which I had just last night, was not really about LOTR, but near the end of it, I was looking at this necklace-thingy, and there was this very pretty sapphire stone on it, and I remember associating it with Vilya (Elrond's ring). There were a few gold dangly medallions on the necklace as well, and one of them, which was engraved with a woodland scene with a very ent-like tree, seemed to have the word "Feanor" hidden in the drawing, but I could only find "Fea" and was wondering where the "nor" was. A few minutes later, my alarm woke me up.
I know, I have a bizarre mind.

When I was last time reading the LotR, and when I was at the point where Frodo and Sam are in the Mordor and their travelling is extremely hard and painful, I had dream about me being in some dark and deserted land and very very tired.
It was a horrible dream... I would rather dream about Lothlorien or something...

i had one where i was in a hedge maze. i was trying to find the new house that i had got so i could live with my mum, but i was lost. then liv tyler comes along on horseback in a red dress speaking in quenya. i tried to tell her that she couldn't know quenya, because it was all scripted for her, and that i couldn't accept her help becuase she was false. the rest of the dream was really sad, but irrelevant to lotr...
i've had others. always integrated into complex and incoherent plot lines that are my dreams. and yeah i've had some more pleasant dreams with orlando bloom present :) :) :D

I had so many dreams that my parents or my friends gave me a whole set of Tolkien books. But after many times of waking up in disappoint, I eventually get to the point where anytime I see myself getting Tolkien books, I would instantly knew it was a dream. Two nights ago, I dreamed my parents gave me a brand new set of LOtR for my birthday , I just stared at them and yawned:" What, again? Like I don't it's a dream!" And they all vanished in a puff, and I fell back to sleep again.

I had a dream after watching the LotR movie. I dreamed a scene out of it, the scene where Gandalf tosses the ring in to the Bag End fire, and when Frodo holds it he says he sees some form of Elvish. I don't remember much of the dream though, only that the hobbits were running in circles all over the place. I think I need therapy. I'm going too hobbit-mad.

I had my first LOTR related dream last night.
I was at the second movie, which came out 10 months early, so everyone was REALLY excited. I don't remember anything about the movie except the title was OT (don't ask me what that stands for) instead of TTT. Probably because I haven't read the book.

I've had Lord of the Rings related dreams several times. Three times I dreamed I was taking the ring to Mount Doom to destroy it. Twice I was Frodo with Sam assisting me. Once I was Sam which was actually worse because I felt the responsibilty of getting the ring destroyed but Frodo had the ring and I was afraid he wasn't going to make it. Each dream was so real---the dragging weariness, the choking dust, the impossibility of the task...
The other Lord of the Rings related dream I had was really cool. I dreamed I was fighting an evil wizard who had killed my father. I was holding out against him but I was getting weaker and weaker and then I lost my sword. Suddenly I was whisked away to Rivendell and there were elves all around me. One of them took me and taught me fighting techniques (it was as if time stood still while I was there.) Then Elrond came and gave me a new sword and a pendant with an opal-like stone in it and said,"If you are not afraid you will not be defeated. You must have courage, do not lose your sword and do not fear defeat." The other elves did not speak but I could feel them wishing me well and telling me to be courageous. Then I was transported back to the wizard and I was able to defeat him. The really odd thing was that this dream was symbolic for me of some things that were going on in my life at the time and it really helped me.
No, no don't commit me to the asylum for Tolkien nuts....:D

Yeah, I've had dreams... one was with Orlando Bloom. :D
I was a famous actress and we were filming a movie together. We hit it off right away and became best friends. We started dating, but we decided not to tell anyone. Then we got married. We still didn't tell anyone, and our publicists told everyone that we attended all the events together because we wanted the paparazzi to think we were seeing each other, when actually, we were seeing other people. SO no one bothered us. THen one year we were both up for Oscars and we decided that if we both won, we'd tell eveyone. We did.
Another dream after I saw the movie, gollum chasing me calling "Come back with my precious!"

Im walking in some strange place. the air is cool and I see a huge lake surrounded by lush green grass. There are hills nearby. I turn around to see a weird Numenorean guy, and he is dressed in the clothes of a Gondorian soldier( i think), complete with the helmet with wings sticking out.

Last night, I dreamt I was in this dusty place. A few dark figures were out in the distance. I felt that there was something very grave and frightening in the place. The air was so thick with it that even the figure's heartbeats were felt by me.
I approached one of them and he seemed to be quite apart from the rest and seemed to be their leader. When he looked in my direction, I tried to make out the face but it was a bit dark. He made some remarks which I don't quite remember but I felt he was calling me. As I approached I saw that he resembled someone from the film.
At that point I could not remember who it was exactly until I saw a few elves behind him and a dward and finally realized that it was Aragorn with Viggo's face!
I realized I was the leader of those who had broken their oath and were being summoned in the Paths of the Dead!
Then I woke up on the floor. Ouch...:(

I actually had a LotR dream!!!! I was very excited about this, 'cause I don't usually dream about what I want to dream...but this wasn't very LotR...
I was in this underground cavern sort of place, I think it was Moria, and a miniature Balrog (It had wings!!!!) was chasing me. When I got out, I ran through the forest, and all these birds were following. They were really brightly coloured, like parrots and whatnot. It was a rather tropical forest. Then, I was nearing a river, and Arwen (Liv Tyler) was there, with the whole costume from the Ford of Bruinen in the movie, and she was waiting, and when I reached where she was, she got off her horse and told me to ride across the ford. So I took the horse and did as she said, and then she turned into one of my friends, and told the birds to stay where they were. Then some orcs met me on the other side and I shot them with my bow, and when they were gone, I turned around to find Arwen/my friend, but I turned around just in time to see her riding away with someone. I was crying, because she was gone, then I woke up. Wierd, huh?

This is, by far, my weirdest dream.
I was Sam in this.... and Frodo and I were riding bikes in my neighborhood....then all the members of the company showed up one by one (on bikes). Except Boromir.
Then Boromir and a bunch of black riders caught up to us (we were at a stop light) and started hitting us with ( I can't belive I actually dreamed this)-light sabers. Okay, so then we got transported to this space station and it became sort of a Star Wars/LOTR mix. But now it was only me (Sam) and Frodo. Boromir and Black Riders were still chasing us through the space station with light sabers. We escaped, only to find we had gotten into to one of those little escape pods. Then-- yep, you guessed it-- we had to navigate an asteroid field with Boromir shooting at us from the Death Star....except it was shaped like a giant Ring. We escaped back to Middle Earth and found that Merry had married Eowyn and Pippin had married Arwen (poor Aragorn). Then I woke up.
The weird thing is, I don't even really like Star Wars that much.

I had a dream about the LOTR but not so long:
the fellowship was travelling near Rivendel and orks came and they ran away to the mountains that become really small and Gandalf clock started to chage collors.
all that was somehow in the street under my house.

I've had two LoTR-related dreams. Once I was Frodo running through a woods with the Black Riders after me. I tripped and woke up. The other time I was Eowyn riding on a white horse with an important message for Minas Tirith. I was riding along the edge of a gully full of garbage that a battle was being fought in when I woke up.

I also had a weird, non-LotR dream last night . . . but I also had a LotR dream. I dreamt a lot last night, actually. But my dream was that I had a One Ring replica (which I actually do, in real life), and it one day turned into the One Ring, and it made me invisible when I put it on. And then I went in my dream to New Zealand, and talked to Sir Ian McKellen and Peter Jackson, and they told me to cast it into Mount Doom, the set version that is . . . and then I went all gollum-y and said, "It's my preciousss . . ." And then they threw me and the ring into Mount Doom, and the Ring went back to normal, and I hit the bottom, because MOunt Doom just CGIed. Weird, huh?

nothing like the dreams my friend strawberryicecream has. they mainly involve elijah in a white spotless flowing shirt, and some honey, and i think there was licking involved!some people are so disgusting.

Try counting Oliphaunts instead of sheep. It has a drowsier effect and you don't need to count as many as sheep to fall asleep.
You could also try reciting these lines over and over:
"I made a promise Mr Frodo, a promise. 'Don't you leave him, Samwise Gamgee' and I don't mean to...I don't mean to"
"Oh, Sam"

I had a really weired dream about TLOTR. I was at first at the cinema watching the Two Towers (and it was brill!) then i turned around and Frodo (Elijah) was talking to me in Elvish (I couldn't understand him.) Then i screamed as something grabbed me from behind and cold clammy hands passed over my throat. I was so scared it was unbelievable. There was a flash of blue and i woke up realising what a cool dream i had just had.
I always have weired dreams- they are much more interesting than "normal" ones.

I got the soundtrack at a bookstore...I've seen them at Barnes&Noble, and other such large chains. Not that I like buying stuff from them....but they do have nice LotR displays!
About dreams...I listen to the soundtrack every night when i'm going to sleep, and I still have had just one dream. But at least I've had one! The music doesn't help, though.

my sister can't get to the computer just now, but she told me to post this dream that she had on here:
Two of her friends were over at our house and so were Orlando, Viggo, and Dominic, and two guys from Black Hawk Down. The two guys from BHD were actually in the military and they each had a little kid. They were all hanging out and the girls were asking Orli (as she calls him) all kinds of questions (Was it fun? What's going on with you and Lij? etc). anyway, they were all buddies. Orli told my sister he'd get her a part in his next film (which she like died over since she absolutely loves him) but she wasn't that excited in the dream, since they were buds.
At one point I gues Orlando was a girl and they were asking her if it was hard playing a guy. But then he was a guy again. The dream ended with my sister spilling paint all over her pants and going to her room to change them, where she found Orlando changing his shirt. They talked while she found a change of pants, and it was like nothing at all was going on. That's when our brother barged into her room and woke her up.

well I had a rather pathetic LotR dream last night...
Basically it was the South park movie with the LotR charcters (PJ too) in it and different words to the songs set to the same music...I can safely say it was the most Effed up dream I have EVER had.....sept for maybe the one where I killed Danny Devito...well anyway....
Sam, Frodo, Merry and Pippin were: Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle(respectivly)....Peter Jackson was Satan, ...Galadriel was Bryan Boitano(sp?) and Legolas and Gimli were Terrance and Philip.
(Definatly NOT a good thing...People, I have SEEN hell and it is Legolas and Gimli haveing a fart contest and singing 'Shut your [edit] face uncle [edit]in a Canadian accent...I bet you anything i'm going to need therapy for that)...
...then there was a bunch of pigeons and I woke up...

Hooray! I finally had another LotR dream! :) :D
Most of it was kinda weird, but I was Gollum trying to escape from an underground orc stronghold with all these twisting passages and dead ends and stuff. Then, later, I was with Frodo and Sam waiting for Gollum to come out the end of a tunnel so that Sam could strangle him.

I had another LOTR dream!
Ok it started out in a big city (really weired. It was sand coloured but modern and the buildings seemed primative yet new. I was confused)- completly non related to LOTR but anyway- I went into one of the houses and sat at the table cleaning his arrows was Legolas. Not the movie legolas but the one that i pictured on my head. He was speaking to me but either i wasn't listening or i couldn't understand him- i can't remember. Anyhow then Sam and Frodo (again not from the film) dressed in orc gear appeared from the back room and i had a really long conversation with them- it was odd coz i can't remember what we were talking about. Nothing really happened but it was a good dream.

I've had three dreams about LotR that I can remember and one was a nightmare! (just my luck!)
In the first one there was just an image of Aragorn's head floating around in a fog. It was a severed head or anything gross, it was just his head, it wasn't Viggo's head either, it was my own image which, I have to say (sorry all Viggo fans), I like better. I don't remeber how long that lasted for.
The nightmare was featuring ... take a wild guess ... that's right, Sam :D Just kidding (I hope!). It featured the Great Eye of Sauron watching me, relentlessly. But it wasn't that which bothered me, it was the wailing of the Nazgul! I was terrified  ! Why was he picking on me? My Ring won't be here for at least a fortnight ;) . That didn't last long though.
My final one only lasted a few seconds and there was no image, just the sound of wheels on a cart rolling and the nice music from the beginning of the film when Gandalf is crossing the river by the mill. That was it.
I have a recurring dream too, which has nothing to do with LotR. You're gonna think I'm crazy, but I dream that I am chased by a lump of cheese  . The cheese is running after me on legs and we each have speech bubbles, mine say 'Eek!' and the cheese's says 'Grr!'. It's like a comic, but I don't get it

I finally had another dream! Yay!
Here goes. . .it's rather long. . .
I was at school, and I decided to go out for coffee or something with one of my friends. On our way there, she turned into Aragorn, and met Arwen on the sidewalk. I somehow became an elf! Except we all looked like elves from the movie, and it was really wierd, because there were all these elves walking around downtown Seattle (near my school) but elves aged physically, so some of them looked old, w/white hair and stuff. That was wierd. Anyway, we all went to the Green Dragon and drank mead. They actually served it to me. . .so anyway, then this girl I sit next to in math sometimes came and sat down next to me and started singing Tom Bombadil's song about his pony. She sang the whole thing there, but when I woke up, I could only remember the first line, and now I don't even remember that. But it was another LotR dream! :D

oooooookay. I've had a lot of dreams, so here they are in order.
The first night I dreamed I was Frodo and Sam and I were hiding from orcs in my friends house.
A few days later I dreamed I was in Rivendell when Legolas arrived, only his father Thranduil was with him. Thranduil had short red hair. Legolas looked a lot like Legolas in the movie, only his hair was a little shorter, and he was wearing this many-layered gray robe thing. Anyway, this friend who hasn't read LotR was with me, so I figured she wouldn't know anything about Elves, so when Legolas arrived, I said , "how about you start things off by by asking him how old he is?" but she didn't fall for it and we both went into hysterics. Luckily Legolas didn't notice this :D. Later in the dream I saw Legolas standing in our hallway smiling.
That was a fun dream, so I desperately wanted to dream along the same lines the next night, but I had another dream about being chased by orcs. Spiteful.
The next night I contracted the dreaming-you-are-on-Entmoot disease, but the night after that I had another LotR dream that I can't remember. :( :( :( ;)

Last night I slept 12 hrs and dreamt of a middle earth where the ents were shrubs, the elves were hobbit-sized and the hobbits were 6 ft tall. The men were all kids, though. It was really funnny because the hobbits still admired the elves and the elves were as proud as ever. I saw treabeard the bush carry merry and pippin on his tiny stems. Weird but hilarious, nonetheless. The hobbits kept holding back the pint-sized orcs with their long arms while the orcs punched away at the gap btween them. My alarm clock sounded off just as the cute little nazgul came tumbling down after his flying iguana threw him down. Oh well.

I remembered it! I was Frodo on the journey, and we were on my grandmothers farm. First Legolas climbed a cherry tree. Then we came to a HUGE tree with a million vines hanging down. I got on one of the vines and said, "you don't have to be an Elf to climb in vines!" This got Legolas annoyed, so he climbed all the way to the top of the tree to show me. Then I joked,"Uh-oh, an angry Elf. I'd better run." So I pretended to run away in fear, and Aragorn made us keep on walking. We came to an electric fence that hung so low that only us hobbits couldn't get under it, and it was to high for a hobbit to go over it, but the others did. Then I woke up. Too bad. :(

I had another! I had another!
I dreamed I was at the Grey Havens when several boatloads of Elves were departing. (the boats were tiny) At first I was a person standing with Gandalf on the shore watching them depart. Cirdan went with them, but I knew he wasn't going West yet, so I asked Gandalf if Cirdan would come back. Five minutes later, one of the boats was back, with him (Cirdan) in it.
Then for some reason the dream started over again, and I was Smeagol in a cage with Gollum, hanging over the beach. I was trying to jump out onto the beach but Gollum kept stopping me. Then I was a person on the beach again. The Elves were about to leave. I hugged someone (think it was Legolas :D :D :D ) and said, "Goodbye, Goodbye!" and then they got into the boats and I woke up.
That brings my count to 9! Beat that!

Yes, I had one!!!!!
Okay, its rather long, so here goes:
Nine friends and myself were having over everyone in the Fellowship of the Ring (the people who played them in the movie.) We all picked our favorite and then they just came. (There were 10 of us; my friend Amanda never read LOTR:mad: so she had Cynthia Cooper from the WNBA come) Well, they all came, but then I realized we were on Mars. (Stupid Martian Chronicles book) Oh yeah, Alexandra Astin was with Sean. She disappeared, and everyone went looking for her. They all got sucked into the sand and disappeared. Everyone else just left, saying "Oh well." I started crying because I thought Sean Astin and Elijah Wood (my friend Jackie's guest) were dead. Two week later, I was in the kitchen of my house cooking when Alexandra popped out of the sand with Sean and Elijah close behind. They were being attacked my a giant snapping turtle. I did this amazing flying leap (through my kitchen window) and tackled the turtle. We all escaped inside. I never did find the rest of them. Seam Astin said they found a space ship and went back to Earth. Poor Sean, Elijah, and Alexandra were left behind. So they lived with me. :D
THE END

They had a big old sign that said Lord of the Rings and the "O" in "Lord" was a Ring, and I went inside and they had all books and all the movies (It was before the real ones, so the movies were the lousy cartoons) There was also action figures and stuff. I was on a beach in Cape Cod with the fellowship of the Ring. We had to cross the lake, but we couldn't that day cuz of the weather. Legolas suggested we tell riddles to pass the time. Then he said something about an amazingly hard riddle that no one could answer, and I got the impression it was more of a moral question than a riddle. then Legolas sighed and said, "and I know it". I asked him if all elves knew it. He said no, only us, "us" meaning the fellowship.

I had a dream last night that was quite odd. I was in a hobbit hole, though from the inside it resembled a basement. There was a long sofa, cluttered shelves on teh walls, and boxes everywhere. There were two little windows (round, like those in most hobbit holes) and the only people inside were myself and Gandalf... and about 100 horses. They were from Rohan and Gandalf said we had to hide them because the Nazgul would try to steal them. And then a couple Ringwraiths came and looked in the windows, and i dove behind the couch surrounded by horses. They said we had to give them the black horses or they'd kill us. And Gandalf said I had to, so we opened the door and let the black horses go, except one that had a white spot. I thought it was pretty and i didn't want it to go away. Then I woke up... I have really detailed, vivid dreams. It's creepy...

After a heated conversation with a friend on "10th member Mary Sue" fiction, I expressed a wish that just ONE story would involve turning around and going in the opposite direction.
So, I had a dream that I showed up in Rivendell, watched the council, and then (hey) walked in the Opposite Direction.

Ahem. I had another LotR dream last night. I dreamed Frodo (in Valinor, after LotR was over) was holding a map of Valinor and the ocean East of it. There was a line on the map, such as those found in books that signify the hero's journey, and Frodo was writing on the map, "My daughter's journey Eastward". Interesting, hmmmmmmmm?

Yeah, they do, but in NZ it's a new industry, (and they use dogs), and they mainly export, rather than sell to a local market. The only ones we get, are the relatively tasteless black ones in oil from italy, and they sell for $50 each!

cassiopeia, congrats one your first dream!
I had another dream that I got up when i was still half asleep to write down. It went like this. There were three Dwarven Drinking Glasses insead of Dwarven Rings. They were clear glass but they had tints in them: two pink, one yellow. Then another appeared out of nowhere, and we were worried that Sauron had sent it, so I destroyed the 3 glasses by smashing them on a brick fireplace, and this Glass-bearer kid had to try to destroy the One that appeared. At first he couldn't make himself throw it in, but when he did, it just bounced and we were scared. Then I was in the same place, but I was trying to destroy the One Ring by hurling it onto the hearth and denting it, but there were two One rings and I couldn't tel the difference. I took one of the Rings and I could pull it apart with my hands. So I went back to trying to dent the other one.

I had one!!!!oh wow i finally had one!!!!!!!!after all this time!
ok so admittedly it wasn't very good and was REALLY mixed up but it was still a lotr dream!
basically, some friends and i were fighting Lurtz (from the movie) and a huge troop of orcs, with the help of aragorn. it wasn't going too well but then one of my friends found Lurtz's orcish brother and so we kidnapped him to get at Lurtz. for some reason we then ran off with this orc tied up in elven rope and from what i can gather we were taking him to Gondolin. weird i know but wait, it gets weirder.
while we were gone aragorn got his legs chopped off by Lurtz but he was still happy and smiling about it.truly bizarre.
anyway...we were leading this orc along when we suddenly came across goldberry, tom bombadil and some other bloke.now the scary thing is, tom looked suspiciously like Billy Connely!that was when i woke up. thank goodness.
but yay!lotr dream number 1!!!!!!!!!woohoo!

My friend who isn't a member of this site had a wierd dream but it was funny coz when she told me I couldn't stop laughing!
She said that me and here were delivering Empire magazine to Orlando Bloom when they were filming the films and we were just talking to him and Peter Jackson ranover to us and said that Viggo hadn't turned up so they needed a new Aragorn so apparently I took the part and was wearing a wig and a beard!!
We went to the Mines of Moria and Gimli turned up and all he could say all the time was "They call it a mine, A mine"
We were all getting chased by orcs and then all the Hobbits came running in shouting "We will save you!"
Then we were hiding under the rocks and got asked if I wanted to take my wig and beard off but I said I liked them.
Boromir got shot with an arrow by an orc and he died so we put him in a boat and he went off the waterfall (like in the film) but then we all turned round and Boromir was rowing back up the Waterfall.
That's all my friend told me because we were late for maths!!

I had another. I was taking Frodo to see a movie and we were on a train to get there and the roof of our car came off. Because of this, the car filled up with poisonous gas, and I told Frodo only to breath with his mouth next to the wall of the train. (because the gas would move away from it; like stay on the ground in smoke) Then I was somewhere else and Frodo told me that he thought hobbit culture was declining, that fewer hobbits were sticking to the old ways, that hobbits were disappearing- then I woke up.
That make fifteen. :)

I dremed I was holding a record that was the soundtrack to LotR, and the sleeve had pictures of red clouds and the Eye of Sauron on it. Then, in my dream, I fell asleep. While I was sleeping in my dream, I had a dream that I was an Elf and my little brother was a Dwarf. I was going to get my eye painted (The actual eye. Don't ask me. Dreams are weird. )to look like the Eye of Sauron. To do this, I had to climb a tower, but the tower didn't let dwarves in, so it was hard for my little brother to get up. My dad and I climbed it, and started a fire in the fireplace (that just happened to be there  ) with some of the rope. (that just happened to be there. ) Then I had the brilliant idea to haul my brother up with the rope. We had already burned so much of it that my little brother had to climb a fair ways up the tower for him to grab it. But he did, and we hauled him up. Then I had my eye painted, but I don't remember that. Then I was at the bottem of the tower again, and I had to get my other eye painted. So my dad and I did it again, except the rope was much longer and we didn't burn it, and my little brother didn't have to climb at all. Then I woke up.

I dreamed that I had to go on a quest to find "The Truth." It was written in the woodgrain of a sheet of plywood somewhere in Moria. There was a girl who could read any language, and she had a book that we thought was perfect truth (turned out to be a book of lies). There was also an innocent convict, his sadistic jailer, a fence, and a seafaring dwarf.

I had a strange dream last night that lasted exactly an hour!
It is kinda more movie LOTR than book LOTR so dont tell me off for going off topic please.
Ok this is my dream: I saw a newspaper in a shop and it said The Lord Of the Rings Special as a headline so naturally I bought it. Inside was a massive pull out poster of the Nazgul and profiles of all of the cast. I flicked through them and over Sean Astins one it said that he had just died recently. I was really upset and started crying because i just thought that he never had the chance to see the next two films. Then i went shopping and went to the cinema to get some posters and then a man said that unless the item had a bronze star on it, it wasn't for sale. I go ou5t of the shiop and manage to get into a fight. For some reason i have sting with my and warn off the girls who i was fighting me. The it turns plastic and I run away. (Thats pretty much it for the LOTR side of it, it went strange then as i ended up at school.)
This is about the 3rd or 4th LOTR dream that I have had...I want more!

I've had three LoTR dreams, quite different, though!
First was a Hobbit one, first time I red it. I dreamed I was at the meeting of the wargs, but couldn't find any trees. I could see the 14 others in the trees, but for some reason I couldn't get up. It was one of those ones where I woke up jus before the wargs devoured me!
Second, I was in The Shire, best buddy with Frodo, Sam, Meriadoc & Pippin and Bilbo was like a wise old man who used to tell us stories. (you know those realy freaky dreams when they've got a history and everything!) It was delightful!
Final one is really dark & demented! I have a recurring nightmare I'm in Barad-Dur. There are these really huge doors which I can't close and all these wormlike things with huge teeth keep coming after me. As if that ain't bad enuf there's a river of lava flowing through! This 1 is t only 1 I've hd sins I saw t film! Thanks PJ.

I had a very weired dream which was LOTR based.
Me and my friend (Erendil from here) were in the woods and we were trying to climb trees (like elves) and Eowyn was there as well (from the film). We were using the stringy bits from a (cooked) chicken to help us climb as they were fastened round the top branch of the tree.
Then Legolas went passed and we were really embarrassed about using chicken to climb with and hid behing the tree and he didn't see us.
I can't remember the rest but it was very mad (crazy, strange, weired)!

I had another!
It was like this: There are Balrogs with wings, and there are balrogs without wings. Once I had been attacked by a balrog with wings. Winged ones are easier to rouse, but are not as strong as those without. Then a balrog without wings attacked me. I woke up. Sooo... Gandalf's balrog must have been one without wings, because it almost overpowered another Maia, of it's order.

The only LotR dream I've had:
After seeing the movie several times, I still wasn't very impressed with the balrog. "Too bestial," complain, complain. In my dream, I was in my room in the attic, and at the window all the way at the other end, the balrog was trying to get in. I've forgotten the exact details, but this was the person of the balrog in the body of a monkey, cat, racoon, or some such silly animal. It was so evil, though, that ever since then I've been convinced that the movie balrog is evil.
But I don't mind not dreaming, because I'd rather have a "living-book" experience. That happens to me with The Two Towers, in Fangorn and Edoras.

I had a dream awhile ago envolving i think the fellowship. But i mostly saw Aragorn and one of the hobbits. I was with the fellowship traped in a torn down castle. We were trying to find a way out. We were being watched and we had to go through test to work are way out. we came to a part of the castle were it had platforms you had to hop onto to get across. Then this dude asked Aragorn a question about a character in a story. I touched him on the arm and the dude asking the question said Aragorn gets eleminated cause i touched him. Then he asked another question to Aragorn and this time i asked Aragorn a question and the dude looked at me. And i said"what talking is wrong to.
I have no idea if we got out or not cause the dream ended there. I think Aragorn got angry at me though.:D

Ohh... you're making me think back... I know I've had perhaps one or two (I hardy ever dream about things I'm interested -even obsessed- with)... but I forgot them. I know I had one a few nights ago that I was talking on the phone with Viggo (in the only form I know him-Aragorn) which was sort of funny because they didn't have phones in middle-earth... hehe I'm twisted I know but it was really dumb! Haha
I think I've dreamed of being the eagle/hawk dude. wee.

I wish i had more dreams with lotr. But since i think about it so much I don't dream about it. I think you dream mostly of things you think less of.

My LotR dreams generally occur when I'm just falling asleep and when I'm just waking up. Most of them are slightly inappropriate dreams involving Glorfindel... (Happy sigh) :)

I had this really scary, really weird dream about LotR and Gollum. I was just trying to fall asleep (in my dream), when something pokes me in the back. Well, my cat usually sleeps with me so I figured it was probably just her nosing around. Then, something pokes me again. This happens like four more times, when finally I jump up and started screaming and running out of my room. While I'm charging down the stairs trying to get out of the house, Aragorn and Legolas and Borimir come charging up the stairs and into my room. Then I get out the front door and realize my house is ringed with Nazgul and then the four hobbits come and start light all the Nazgul on fire. Now the Nazgul are screaming curses while they burn and they all go away. Then Aragorn and Borimir and Legolas come out of the house leading Gollum on a chain.

I had this strange dream which I can faintly remember... I wish I could have a REAL lotr dream but nooo! Either I never have them or I never remember them. I am beginning to fear for my obsessiveness. I want a LOTR dream LOL
Like 2 nights ago I dreamed some friends of mine (in my dream anyway) were bicycling down a median in an empty highway. next minute we're on some dirt path leading in to the forest. I don't remember much but the trees had a bluish hue and were beautiful... it was grey and dull and stormy out. We turned off of a fork in the path and cycled up a slope with a Galadriel-ish figure in a white gown standing beside the path.
We cycled past and entered a sort of garden-crop-thing setup, with flowers on vines growing around wooden stakes and chickenwire like tomatoes. Then it started raining spores (?!) and they were getting all in my mouth and I eyes so I shut them. We swerved off the path, got off of our bikes and went down a sort of slide thing and I don't remember the rest.
Strange? nevurr... lol

Okay. This one is weird.
First, I dreamed that I was the Ring Bearer. The Ring didn't bother me much throughout my dream though. The Fellowship was all there, but it was made up of my family, Frodo, and Sam. Sam was my boyfriend.;) Anyways, we were being chased by the mafia. It was really dark and we were trying to get through this storage room. We made it out and were about to cross this big river when I dropped the Ring. Oops. So we look for it for a long time, and then I finally found it. The mobsters had caught up by then. They shoot my brother, but it didn't seem to bother him much, and he just pulled the arrow out. Wow. Then, exactley like how it was done in the movie, the river floods, with the horses and everything. The mobsters are swept away. Then we come to this big cave and everyone wants to go inside and go to sleep. I scream, "No, Shelob's in there!" and then I woke up.
Weird.

I had dreams two nights in a row, so here is another one.
I was with the Fellowship, I think I took the place of Boromir. Arwen was there too, she took Legolas' place. We were walking along through this forest, and it was getting hard to breathe. All of a sudden, me, Frodo, and Sam, fall through this hole. Everyone else follows. Its this weird kind of overgrown jungle. We all start swinging on vines, but Arwen falls in this river and starts to drown. Sam saves her, but for some odd reason his hair falls out. Also, Aragorn could fly. It was rather strange.

First I'll tell it to you, then I'll let you in on a secret.
I don't often have extremely lucid dreams, and this one I had years ago. I still remember it because I was so affected by it.
I drempt I was walking in green fields, between long miles of hills. and valleys. The light was dim, and I was worried that I might not find my way.
Suddenly a spirit of light came to me, seeming to fly to my side.
There before me stood an Elf, golden-haired, clad in sparkling silver rainments. He glowed with an inner fire, lighting the grass and hill around us.
Then he asked me plainly, "Do you wish to visit our land, our home?" he looked me straight in the eye, as honestly as I have ever seen someone look at me. I couldn't speak, and croaked instead, "Yyyyyy!"
Then he took me gently by the hand, and we seems to suddenly be flying. Not as though we were on our stomachs flying like Superman or Peter Pan, but as if the world spun under our feet. Great distances of hill and mountain flew beneath us.
Just as quickly, we were in a forest, beside a large tree.
He bid me climb with him up a ladder of luminous rope. I did, shakily. Finally we arrived at a platform, and he pointed all around him.
"This is our home. You are welcome to stay. I must go now." And he vanished from sight.
All around were houses made from living intertwined branches. The trees themselves glowed as if they were more alive than regular tree. The living spirit within them could be seen plainly.
They had made shades that hung like walls, and steps that were of living boughs. I climbed a set of stairs and found myself in a nursery. In little cradles were many Elven babies, cooing in swadling made of the whitest linen. A nurse-elf let me hold one. She smiled and asked me if I'd like to care for them. I said yes, of course. Then she took the baby from me wihout a word, and went back to her business.
I wandered to the stairs again, and found an old, blind Elf, sitting on the stairs. In his hands he played an accordian made of pearl. He felt me coming, and asked me if I'd like to learn it. I said yes again, and he put it in my hands, and taught me a melody.
Then he smiled and left me, accordian still in hand. I played a while, and then, as if I'd overstayed, the first Elf-Man appeared and said, "You may come here when you like. We will take care of you, if you wish. When you are at the end of days we will care for you, for you are a friend. Do not forget us!"
I felt the land once again whirling beneath my feet, and woke in bed, the most peaceful I'd ever felt in all my life.
Now, the secret! If we all wish to, I'm sure we will see what's in store for us in TTT. There is a hive mind, and I am a lucid dreamer who uses it. If you write your wishes on paper, and concentrate on them before you sleep, messages will come to you if you keep your mind open.
I have successfully predicted plots to favorite series this way, by writing what I thought might happen, and dreaming on it.
What is the hive mind? It's all of us. We are all connected by thought. We share information with each other every day! Thanks to the web, and television, we can learn about our peers better than before, but the hive mind is still there. Aboriginies know of it. They use it to communicate vast distances thru dreams. You must practice using it! Keep a dream diary by your bed. Write your dreams at breakfast, before you forget them. In a few months, you will see parallels between what you dreamed, and what has been happening in the world.
As for my Elves? I think they were real. They exist somewhere outside of time, on another plane. Like angels they were, understanding thought without speaking. And they looked like tall humans, but with souls of great light and power.
K, am I nuts?! Nah. It's my little dream world, and I like it.

If it's any consolation, I don't think it's nuts. There is some validation in the idea of a "hive mind" in the development of technology, and in the archaeological record. (The so-called "technological boom.") Plus, the brain is perhaps one of the most complicated mechanisms currently existing on this planet. I refuse to write off any thing that it can do unless I have conclusive proof (dis-proof? :D) of it's abilities, or lack thereof.

I don't believe you're nuts. I have my dream worlds as well, and I enjoy visiting them. I never thought of the fact that they could be real, but your world is fascinating. Thanks for the wonderful insight.
