First of all, I hace to admit that these dreams aren't mine. They belong to my cousin who, sadly, has only seen the LOTR movie and so have slightly weird thoughts? priorities? about FOTr.
He had one dream, in which Borimir did not die and went on with Frodo to Mount Doom as a completely reformed character. In the second dream, Gandalf did not fall of the bridge of Kazhad-Dum.
The third he could only remember as having something to do with Legolas, a mountain and an orc. This dream probably stemmed from an obssesion with Legolas and the beleif that legolas should have got the ring, an idea I STRONGLY disagree with.

I once had a dream where I was on Mount Doom when Frodo was trying to destroy the ring. I saw him and Sam run down towards me and the mountain start erupting. I was really scared so I started running, but I ended up flying instead. I realized that I was one of the eagles that rescued Frodo and Sam so I turned around and picked Sam up. I was terrified for the whole dream, but it was kind of cool, feeling like and eagle!

i had a dream last night that sauron (in the form of a weird sea creature thingy) was trying to get my precious, the ring i made out of a key ring and tape and some other stuff. that was basically it. then there was stuff about a rainbow and i could stick my hand in it. it was cool. i think one time i was on a dock when i saw the sauron thing swimming around bu tall i had was the key to get into the secret compartment where i hid the ring (which was true-i was sleeping with the key around my neck) but i decided i had better run anyway. so i did. i think thats when i found the rainbow.

Katya, there's something symbolic about putting your hand into a rainbow! I'll have to think about that- it's interesting! in the meantime, I'd step outside in the sun and turn on my garden hose to a fine mist, and make rainbows by facing into the sun. This can also be done with a spraybottle, but you have to keep pumping! LOL. I've always liked making rainbows. I have prisms hanging in my windows, to make rainbows in the house, and I'm planning on learning how to cut up old cd's and drill holes in them to make MORE prisms! I love rainbows.

I've had a few weird LOTR dreams. In one The Riders of Rohan were at my school. They were in minirature so they'd fit with the horses...so we got to have Riders of Rohan at my school(the school I USED to go to. Remember I am homeschooled). I have NO idea what happened to the horses when they sat down...all I know was that they were gone.
I also had this neat dream where I was part of the Fellowship...I think I was Merry...sorry for taking over your position for a night Merry42 :-).

Last night i had a dream about being at school and on the wall was a list of rules for only the hobbts in the class. I thought that was a little unfair, but I forgot about that when I realized that there were indeed hobbits in my class. I think I might've myself been a hobbit, but I don't remember.

I had a dream that i was in a sorta video game castle and I was with the fellowship. We were trying to find our way out by going through obstickles(sp). We got to a place were we had to jump to platforms or we would fall into some water. Then Aragorn tried to answer a question but when I touched him he got it wrong. Then when he tried again and I talked, The guy asking the question stoped then i said "What if I talk he gets another one wrong?"

Well, I've been trying to get LOTR dreams, but the Fellowship's being extremely stubborn... I have had this one, however:
I was back on my year 8 camp (translation: On very muddy, bumpy tracks wandering through the bush with great big backpacks) and there was a puddle about ankle deep in the middle of the road. The fellowship, having been wandering along with me for the past while, decided to have a swim, so the hobbits jumped in and sank - a long way. Far too deep to be in such a small puddle, but there you have it. They got out again - I think - so it was all ok.
And my Japanese teacher was in it, just watching. I wish she'd just stay out of my dreams! She keeps turning up there... Once I dreamt the school was invaded by Uruk-Hai and she was pointing a gun at me! Teachers aren't meant to try to kill people!

ok this is actually more hobbit than lotr but oh well. (oh yeah keep in mind, i read "the most dangerous game" last night.)

i was running around back and forth through the woods being chased by bert, william, and tom the trolls. they were shooting arrows at me though. (?) i was zig zagging a lot to avoid them. when i was running, it suddenly occured to me to put on the ring. i only sort of knew that that was a bad idea. i took it out of my pocket, and put it on. only it looked exactly like the ring i forged myself. its made of a lot of masking tape and marker. and some other things but anyway, then i ended up in the trolls' house thing. they kept bumping into me because it was really small, so i ran out of there before they could figure it out. i think then they got caught in the sunlight because they chased me outside. then the dream totally changed.
i met this girl i know, an exchange student from germany. i talked to her, and she told me it was easter. there were candy eggs all over. i gathered them up and put them in a container i found on the ground.
when i woke up, i wondered what would happen if i put the ring on my cat. i would lose him, but would know he was there because when he came in the cat door i would hear "creak creak, creak creak, thuthump thuthump thuthump" and maybe he would meow. he's really talkative. that was really long. sorry.

For some reason, I kept having these stange dreams where I was frodo, and ring wraiths kept chasing me! one time I was chased through an old fasioned market, a small canadian tire, and down into a chimney that had velvet chairs, red carpet and a fire place. i also had a dream where i was kissed by arwen! aaaaah! nightmare! :D

ok, I have just recently had this dream and it was extremely strange.
*fuzzy little memory clouds and blur of courney music*
I was at six flags and was with my friends at the bumper cars. I could not share a car with the friend I wanted too but shared it with my boyfirned (as in a boy who is my friend). We started to bump people around and Arwen was standing on near the tracks watch9ng us. I saw my friend look at her and smile and she smiled back.
When we left we went to my camp and Aragorn was there as a counceler. he looked furious at my bumper car companion and punished him with an extremely long hike around a n old fort for flirting with Arwen. He seemed to be angry at me too and told me to pick up trash around the fort. Another guy came to help me whom I could have sworn was Louis off of Kangaroo Jack.

I've had lots of dreams about LotR. In my favourite one (or most unusual one, anyhow), all the boys and girls in my class where at war, and the boys had an army of 10 000 Uruk-Hai on there side. And it took place in my school yard, and, for some reason, all my christmas presents where there. :confused:

I posted about my LotR dream a while back- which was some motley mix of Harry Potter, LotR and Star Wars. As well as several Entmoot ones. Boy, they were freaky! :D

I dreamed last night that my husband and I were at the RotK premier in our city, but it was at a yukky theater. Sitting two rows in front of us and to the right were Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, and Billy Boyd. But I didn't go up to them or anything, even when they were just chatting during the intermissions (which occured about every five minutes of the film), because I didn't want to be an annoying fan. And part of the movie involved Pippin and an enormous dragon!:confused: Weird.

I just had a recent dream envovling becoming an ent. It was when I was kidnapped by these pirates and sent as sort of a slaveto this kid. He was a spoiled brat and I had a share an ent body with him. We climbed into an ent case or body and I was on the bottom and he was on the top. We controled it . I was the arms and legs and he was the mouth. When my dad saw this he was angry and thats all that I remebered.

I never liked that dream very much.

I haven't had any LotR dreams. I've had dreams of the Mummy Returns though. :confused: Wonder why. I didn't even like the movie that much.

However, even before I watched the movies or read the books, I already dreamed sometimes of nasty, evil characters in black robes chasing after me :( They screeched like the Nazgul do in the movies and they ride horses or um...drive cars. Once, one of these Nazgul-type guys tried to ram a car into me. I ran, ran, ran and ran and I felt the car drive into my back and...

I woke up.

No wonder the first time I read the books, I easily identified with the Nazgul as BIG EVIL GUYS.

I had a dream where I was frodo and I was fighting at Helms deep and I was hoping that I woulden't get killed so that I could throw the ring into the fire. The battle wasn't at helms deep, It was on a feild. All the orcs were coming and I was dreading it with all my heart. Then all the sudden I was at my school and there were orcs there. I had gotten rid of the ring and kept on bragging on how I had such a big chance on big powers. I had to lead some of my friends to safety to a place on the feild with some axe plants:confused: Then I met up with more ppl i no. It was only about 7 ppl. Then we charged the play structure. Then I woke up. Kinda weird cuz I only remember killing 1 orc but wutever.:)

This was before FotR came out. I had finished watching the bakshi lotr cartoon. That night i had a dream that bilbo was sneaking around rivendell and he went into an elfs room. took a pillow and smothered the elf to death with it.

another was: I was running in the woods with a binch of orcs chasing me. to escape from them i started hopping on top of trees.

K I was one of the body guards of Oren IShii (Lucy Lu), And a nazgul came in after her, and I had a very violent battle with it, but I won because I had a Hattori Hanzo sword. After I killed him four other Nazguls stormed in the house, and I couldn't stop them. and they kidnapped Oren Ishii!!

Last night I read all four pages of Appendix C, about the lineages. Apparently this triggered something weird in my subcouncous; I dreamt of Frodo and Sam kicking the daylights out of each other in the middle of a field, and there were endless rows of people watching from both sides. All of a sudden everybody started to storm down the hills and clash in the middle, right around Frodo and Sam, but left a big circle around them so they could fight alone. Then Mel Gibson popped up and began thrashing through them all like grass. :D I forget if he got to Frodo and Sam, but I think something funny should have happened.

I once dreamt that there were a ton of ors chasing me in the woods(my backyard woods).
I had one where arwen was a pig.
gimli laughing at legolas's death.<this was when i had watched the bakshi lotr. i had not yet read the books.
and anothere where legolas eats meat. and aragorn is vegetarian.

You guys have had some wierd dreams alright... I've had some cool LotR dreams. Here's one of them.

In the first one, I am Frodo, and I have the Ring. (In real life I am actually a girl, by the way.) I'm being chased by the Nazgul and down a budy main street of a mideval town. The Nazgul are on horseback, but the press of people is holding them back. I dodge between the crowd and escape for the time being.
The road ends at a beach by the ocean. I turn left and run down the beach, still near the town. The Nazgul emerge from the crowd and are gaining on me rapidly. I turn away from the beach and duck into a dilapidated old warehouse. Inside, for some unknown reason, I'm safe from the Nazgul, but I face other dangers. The whole warehouse is full of wierd, 1 foot tall gnome-like people, and they also want to take the Ring. I duck under a shelf that's only about a foot off the ground. The gnome people don't follow me, but the reach under the shelf with wierd, clawing arms. I'm lying on broken glass but I don't cut myself. One wall of the warehouse collapses, or is pulled down by the Nazgul. I run out into the open, and I see a black, horse-drawn carriage on the beach. I know it's friendly, so I run for it as the Nazgul.
I'm very close and feel that I will outrun the Nazgul, when I wake up.

I had a really bizarre dream last night, but it wasn't to do with LotR.

I had a different LotR dream a while ago though.

I was Pippin, and myself, Merry, Frodo, and Sam were being chased by Saruman. We were in a forest, and the snow was very deep. At one point, I fell in, and the snow was at least my height again above me. The only way to get through the forest was a strange path. It was a strange obstacle course with pipes, stairs, balconies, ropes, and random rooms. We were running along this path when Saruman finally caught up to us in one of the rooms. We somehow managed to escape and continue along the path.

i had one that was slightly associated with lotr last night...

i was eating some lembas bread in the kitchen. and was watching the television(which is weird, because we dont have television) and the oscars were bieng handed out to the winners.
there was this one film called "sissy" that won the best pic award.
i dont really care wha the other movies were called...
anyway. the host is making a speach, and is saying how rotk didnt get even a nom.
"its because we choose what we want, not what is the best" the host said.

I haven't had an LotR dream in a long time. A while ago, I did have one where I was Sam. It was very vivid.

Favourite LOTR dreams include, quite literally the entire movie-based trilogy from the party to the Havens, from Frodo's POV; another was me as Merry, watching Pippin getting high off pipeweed and skipping around singing about his toe-hair. That was surreal but fun...

I once had a dream that i was on a hilltop with a fence all around us and i was part of a fellowship with me, Boromir and some people who were about my age but strangers. We were travelling across some grass land and i think we were going west because the sunset was before us. Then suddenly i was running from orcs with them but we were running through a piece of set apparently from Minas Tirith but nothing like the one in the movie, and i was saying that i had visited that piece of set in an exhibition before, only i haven't really. Then i was running in a tunnel under a theatre and i was with arwen, trying to avoid all of the people from my dance school, thinking how weird it was that middle earth was so near to the school. Weird!

Last night I has a dream...there were all kinds of species of fantasy creatures. There was a room for each different animal. I think there were some things from Final Fantasy (chocobos, cactuars, moogles, moombas, tonberrys, I don't remember.). There was also a room (the only one i remember going in) with ents. Actually though, only Treebeard and my little brother were there. (My brother was sleeping on a bed.) I was really happy to see Treebeard, but then I decided our meeting had to be like when he met Merry and Pippin. I just remember someone said that the colour scheme was like being hugged my an ent. That was the main theme.

I had 2 rather strange LOTR related dreams.

In one I inherited a mansion (which was, in reality, my school, except it was many blocks long) from Bob Hope, about 15 horses, and a SCUD missle launcher. Mr. Kessler, my Math teacher from several years back, owned a Fast Food restruant within the grounds, and he was also my butler. Anyway, the part that had to do w/ LOTR was this: both Merry and Pippin lived on the grounds in two of the thousands of bungalos that were dotted across the very confusing landscape [full of parking lots (w/o entrances or exits), walls (some very small while others were large), pits and large cracks in the dirt, and hundreds of P.E. classes].

In the other, I was at my house (although I still owned the mansion) and I was wondering why so many people were outside running around and bumping into eachother; and why I kept feeling slight tremors in the earth. Then someone rang my doorbell. It turned out to be Frodo and Sam wearing gas masks. They said that there was an explosion at my fiends factory, and radiation was leaking all over the place. I just stared for a while, until I broke the silence by saying "H-how could that happen?" (my friend owned a clothing factory). Then I remember retreating into the bomb shelter/pantry under my mansion. After waiting several minutes, I felt another slight shaking in the ground, followed by something bursting through the wall on my right. It was a Graboid from Tremors, except it had on chain mail. Then it began acting weired an spit out the One Ring. After that, the 3 tentacles came out and each one started beeping one at a time. A few seconds later, one of tentacles stopped beeping and started singing. Then I woke up and found out that the beeping and singing came from my alarms.

Weird, huh?

no, not so weird as some of the dreams i've had. here's one i had last night, though:

i was laying on my bed, reading, when galadriel and gandalf walk into my room and start yelling at me for not doing my school work. they were telling me that i'd never get to college unless i destroyed the one ring, and i should throw it in mt. doom (which looked remarkably like my toilet sitting on a mountain...) so i threw it in, and then i appeared in a college admitance office, with this guy in a huge chair facing away from me. i starte4d stammering on about why he should accept me, and then he said no. when i asked why he said because i had destroyed his precious. he turned around and it was sauron, looking like the ghost of christmas past (from "scrooged" with bill murray) all of a sudden the music from the FotR when they're on the bridge of khaza-dhum starts playing, and i woke up to realize that the music was my alarm set on cd (i must have had the fotr soundtrack in there... now that was bizarre- galadriel yelling at me like she was my principal or something? weird...

Usually I don't dream about anything I had been reading in the books, but I got one strange occurance.
It happened after reading on one of Tolkien's site a little fan-writing story, it calls "Nazguli-guli-guli".

Can't give a URL, because, any way, it's in foreign language, but in nutshell it's about having in the future an apparats with ability to create for the person a body which he wants. One of such apparat was ceased by Tolkien's RPG fans and they started worldwide to transform themselves into theirs favorite characters, but unfortuntelly with their look somehow they ascquired their personality too. Naturally it created unrest and blodshed in the world to the point that the World Council decided to separate all of them in Reservation fenced with electro-magnetic shield. Later, with electro-magnetic protection the tourists were able to fly over the island and walk in the Elven-built cities or inspect the built Towers.

A boy begs his father, a man, who once had been an active participant in RPGs and escaped the fate of his friends just because he had some emergency, to take him to Reservation. With hard heart the father was walking through the Reservation afraid to recognise in beautiful or hideous
faces the faces of his friends, but the boy was extatic and wanted to see the Tower and his favorite Nazguls. He called them as people call the doves:"Nazguli-guli-guli"...They not supposed to hear because of the shield,but they heard and appeared.To his horror the father realised that they learnt how to breach the shield and now coming to the boy with the voices like a rustle of dry leaves:"The Ring... The Ring.. give us the Ring, we can't come back to who we were without the Ring..."

At the end of the story they timely escape the danger, although the father had to be treated in revival mashine.

I went to bed with a thought about one of my friends, who is really got hooked on Tolkien's RPGs, that with such obsession you can become whatever you want to become even without the mashine.
Later I dreamed that this friend, all pale, came to my door saying: "I'm fading...I need the Ring.. the Ring..." Startled, I woke up and can't figure out if I still dreaming or awake, because I was still hearing the whispers.

What interesting is that night he was delivered into emergency with knife wound and the lost a lot of blood. He is OK now.
I'm still hardly believing that such creepy thing had happened in connection with Tolkien. :)

I have had 2 dreams related to LotR. In the first one I was just sitting in a restaurant in New Zealand when Peter Jackson sat down at a table nearby. I was staring at him trying to convince myself that it wasn't really him when Viggo, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic all came in and sat down next to him. I think I just sat there staring for the rest of the dream. :rolleyes: In the second dream I was at this gas station thing in the middle of the desert having a party. :confused: I was really bored, and then Viggo Mortensen and Miranda Otto walked in. I told my sister and she didn't care. Then I walked up to them and Miranda Otto said You're The Reason We're Here! I sat down next to them and then I woke up.

Tolkien inspired dreams are the second sign, the second stage. What I mean is, I've come up with three phases of going through a Tolkien phase. Last night I had a brief dream that Feanor married Arien the maia. I think it had to do with the fire thing but overall it was pretty stupid.

i had a dream about viggo mortensen, orlando bloom and sean bean the other night, but that's about al i can say ona PG-13 board ;)
this seems to be abit of a recurring dream for me, although somehow dani filth, mortiis and ville valo are now in on it :confused: i mean what have they to do with LotR? weird!!

I often have my Nazgul co-characters (like Lilly, and the Morgul Lord, and one time Buz, etcetera) appear in my dreams, doing little impromptu cameos in an otherwise non-Tolkien themed dream. Like last night eve, some Nazzies showed up and hung around a while in a dream I was having which had nothing to do with Nazguls - it was an adventure that my friend and I were having in some foreign country. Cool dream, though! And my Nazguls are always welcome in my dreams. I love it when they come!

I recently had a dream -- that I remember vaguely -- that, for some reason, Aragorn was looking under a bed and a voice demanded that Pippin be brought to him (her, it, whatever). Pippin was not to be seen. It was veeery weird.

2 nights ago I had a dream that Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin where staying in this old two story shack or something. Frodo and Sam were on the second floor. It was dark and raining hard. Suddenly, Pippin screamed and there was something that looked like a flash back of Pippin looking in the Palantir in Frodo and Sam's room. Then Pippin came in on this levitation thingy and made himself look taller than Frodo and Sam by levitating above there heads. Then he said, "I am Lord of the Palantir. Bow down before me."
Then Frodo and Sam levitated on their thing above Pippin. Frodo then said something like, "I will not bow down to you, for I have the Ring." Then I woke up, cold.
Then I repeated my dream to myself, to make sure I didn't forget it.

By the time I'm in the shower, which is the first thing I do when I get up, I can't even remember getting up. By the time I'm out, I can't remember getting in. I don't why, but I sometimes actually remember a few quotes from my dreams. Yeah, I get plots from dreams, too.

I sorta kinda remember what my Merry dream was about! Merry was in charge of this army of men. Then they charged. I think they were going to Edoras or something.

Oh! man, I miss my lord of the rings dreams... I haven't had a middle-earth themed dream in quite a while, now, probably like at least *thinks* for like eight, nine months? Now, come to think of it I really miss those awesome dreams. Especially when I was heavily engrossed in my role-playing in Of Wraiths, here at entmoot, yeah, the fantastic dreams that came out of all that writing-brainstorming, oh hell yeah. Beautiful stuff.

Anyone else had any recent interesting noteworthy lord of the rings-inspired/themed dreams lately, to share? 'Cause I, for one, am all eager ears!

Woah. don't get me started i have one every night. the most recent one i've had is that whaen Merry and Pip were in fangorn forest and all the ents were coming the last one came with me in his hand and every ent and hobbit as they heard me pleading with the ent as he did just waht treebeard did "sounds like orc trickary to me!" I started grasping in pain "you don't understand, i'm a hobbit, a halfling! I'm no orc!"
he was squezing so hard i was bleeding. i began to pass out "Merry, Pip, Sam, F... Frodo... forgive me. I failed. i couldn't keep them out or stay alive long enough to keep them out." i started crying "I guess i wont... see the shire again.... Merry...i...i.." with that i passed out. treebeard came and grabbe dme from the ent. he set the three of us on the ground as merry held me in his arms "Star...Dont leave...Please..."
a single tear fell from his cheeck onto mine. my necklace started to glow softly(Merry gav me a necklace when we were little and we each have one. it changes colors to show how we are feeling) and i began to come back to life. thats when i woke up with blood on my hand. i fell off the bed :p

I don't dream about ME very often...but I had a very beautiful dream about the Teleri last week :D

I was just wandering around on some beach at night (uhm...don't ask me why. :p)...and heard singing in the distance. Twas really beautiful, starry sky and all...so I walked towards the sound, and...voila! 5 Telerin Elves singing to the sea...so beautiful and realistic. So I asked something like "where AM I?" and they said i was near Avalone....*glee* lol. So, I they walked me to Avalonne..I could see the swan ships and many lanterns and it was absolutely beaaaautiful....and then I woke up. :eek: Just before we reached the actual city.

Oh boy, I was in a bad mood for the rest of the day, ahahaa :rolleyes:

Whenever i have dreams about lord of the rings they are always about me in a battle field i'm usally just a normal soldier (or a general) but i'm an amazing fighter slaughtering my way through scores of orcs, i have this dream about helms deep or any battle in lord of the rings.

All the time. I've dreamed about Legolas twice, Gil-Galad once, and not too long ago, I had an odd dream about Thranduil and Legolas was in that one also.

Then I had one dream that wasn't about a particular character in the books, but I think it was tied into Tolkien's works somehow. I dreamed I was walking through this large majestic forest. The trees were so tall they blocked out the sun. I walked along a path in the forest and I was aware of someone with me, but I paid him no attention. Then I came upon a small cottage. I turned to this person and saw he was male with long light blond hair and he was wearing a long white robe with blue trim. He smiled and motioned toward the cottage. The door opened and inside there was a beautiful woman with long dark hair sitting at a table. She motioned for me to enter and as I did I woke up and I'm sorry I did. This dream brought me so much peace and it was so beautiful.

I have had so many lotr dreams that I seriously can not remember them all. I am very sad to say that I haven't had on in a while. But I do actually remember one I had a few years back and all I remember is that the cast (elijah, orlando, viggo, dom, sean, billy) all went snowboarding (including myself), it was a pretty awesome dream if I remember correctly...

i had a weird one the other night. My character Star Misaki, the bloger twins diamond and sapphire, Gilbo proudfoot, and Rosie were all sitting in the living room of chrickhollow. Gilbo made some sort of toast when merry and the others walked in, only the girls didn't notice the boys. then star drank the whole thing of wine and fell back on the coach cause she was sick. 'That was the most disgusting stuff i've ever had!' and then sapphire or diamond, i don't know wich told star 'Begging your pardon, but if it was that disgusting then why did you drink all of it?' And star just threw something at whichever twin said it and rolled over saying 'I'm so depressed i don't know what i'm doing anymore...' and fell asleep. then i switched to a dream were i was a purple alien cat that ate a dog and walked on the wall and all kind of weird stuff like that then i switched back to my lotr dream were star woke up and merry was on top of her sucking her neck. that's all i can say without going over pg-13. 0.o it scared me...

I had one once where I was an archer (human I think) in a battle in Ithilien, and all the archers could fly! I also had another one where I was playing tag, I was Frodo and Sauron was It.:o

I dreamed one time that I was at a festival in my hometown. They usually have street dancing and things like that. Well, the dancing was over and several people stepped up wanting to act out a story. I looked up and saw Thranduil, Legolas (Orlando Bloom) was there also. I was in the audience thinking it was going to be interesting when Thranduil walks over to me and asks how the King was. I realized he was bringing me into the story.

I stood up and said, "He fairs well" Then the policemen came in and played orcs and such and me and Thranduil and Legolas and a few other audience members were fighting them. The sheriff was playing the King and he was wounded. I kneeled at his side and he said it was just a flesh wound and he would live. Thranduil walks over and places his hand on my shoulder. Then it ended and everyone applauded. The ladies all ran to Orlando ogling him but I was more interested in Thranduil. He was sooooo hot!

Yes! Awhile ago I had a dark dream when I began yet another reading of LotR. Somewhere I was outside in swirling darkness and heard the nazgul in a chorus of voices call out for Frodo and Bilbo too!

It seemed so classic and scary in a delicious way!
