Hurin Thalion, Morgoth hath bewitched thee; for he that seeth
through Morgoth's eyes, willing or unwilling, seeth all things crooked.
Long was Turin thy son fostered in the Halls of Menegroth, and shown
love and honour as the son of the king; and it was not by the king's will
nor my /_i_e / that he came never back to Doriath. And afterwards, the wife
and the daughter were harboured here with honour and goodwill; and we
sought by all means that we might dissuade Morwen from the road to
_a_g_t_r_n_. With the voice of Morgoth thou /_o_t/ now upbraid thy friends.

You're right - it's not enough.
I know it's one of those two Elves who went the very roundabout way from the Mouths of Sirion (right?) to Nargothrond - and met Tuor way up north as he was starting his journey that first led him to Vinyamar.
But I don't remember the names of either one of those Elves anymore. :(

It was indeed one of those two elves. I don't want to slow the game down trying to make people guess it. Your call, Val. So I added an 's'... so sue me!
Will post later, I'm at work and don't have my LOTR copy with me. Or my UT or my Silmarillion, for that matter.
Or even the Hobbit. I know what you're thinking: "What kind of person doesn't carry 'The Hobbit' with them everywhere they go???" You know, I just don't know...

Then you shall lose all that you have loved, foretasting death in life, seeking a land of /e_i_e/_l_e_h_r_/./ But east or west the Valar alone can say.
