Did anyone watch this? It was broadcast in Australia yesterday evening, and I thought I'd start a thread about it.

I liked Heinz Winkler (South Africa), Kelly Clarkson (USA) and Kurt the Hobbit (Norway). But I have to go for Guy Sebastian from Australia, of course. Go the Fro!

The German guy, Alexander, was terrible IMO. Oh, what a laugh. And Will Young was really disappointing with his lack of movement in his performance. Reminded me of Shannon, Australian Idol runner-up. ;)

I loved the Polish judge, he was hilarious (and no, I'm not biased because he was nice to Guy ;) ). I agree with who you liked, Lin. The German guy was just funny -- now my sister keeps singing that song and I laugh (I have not idea what the song is).

Dicko was mean to hobbits. They are cute. Actually that Kurt guy is kinda cute. :eek:

Go the Fro! You have to admit Guy was the best. Vote Guy!

Wasn't the Polish judge nice to only one other person or something?

Of course Shannon rocks. ;) It's just his speaking voice (as opposed to singing voice) and his dancing.

Kurt was cute and he sang a hard song. U2.

Guy certainly was the best! That German guy made my sides split with laughter with his dancing and the songs he sang. My my, Hunky Heinz was ....hunky, and he sang great too.

What are your impressions of the judges? I think some of them (The American, British...judges) were trying to outdo each other in nastiness towards the contestants. Even Dicko was tame compared to them. That Polish judge was pretty nuts. (I heard he fought with the Polish singer, though I missed out on that because I walked away. My cousin told me).

I couldn't really understand the Polish judge. :o But I saw him wave two bottles. :D

I think the polish judge was trying to further his own career, attempting to emulate Simon Cowell. It obviously backfired.

In my opinion, the British and Australian judges were fairest. America was quite reasonable too. The rest were either unheard from or ridiculous.

No, I don't mind that he didn't win. I was kind of going for Kurt anyway. Alas, a Hobbit must best an Afro.

Varda, I though Will's performance was so dull it almost put me to sleep watching his 'movements'. Yawn. :o I can't believe the Pan-Arabic region gave max points to the German singer- Alexander. They are maniacs, maniacs on the dancefloor... :D

Thinking back i think there was one song that was ok and i don't think he even released it. :rolleyes:

I didn't watch it anyway so i can't say who i thought was the best.
