I'm not sure where this really belongs but since it is a board game, I figured Entertainment would be a good place to start.
I might be getting the Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit game for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone else has this game or plans to get it, if we could play online. I think it would be fun and last ALOT longer than a regular game.
any admin, feel free to move this to wherever it should be !
Thanks!

I just saw that at the book store today! They also had LoTR risk and monopoly! :D I thought it was so cute and im buying the Risk one for my sister for x-mas.
The trivial pursuit one sounded really fun, but all my lotr friends are away at college and no one around here would want to play with me, they know id kick their butts at it.:p

Oh, wow! I can't wait to buy it so it can go with my Star Wars trivial pursuit! (which is sooooo cool) And I love Risk. I have been planning on getting it for myself but....*sigh* It being the christmas season and all....I'll have to get it for someone else or put...it......off...:(

Quick warning: I heard about the LOTR Trivial Pursuit game and did some "research" to see if it's any good and what it's about, and apparently it's all based on the films--it has nothing to do with the books. If you've seen the films even once, you've got the thing aced, and there's only one deck of question cards. I found out today a friend of mine has it and he said the questions aren't even difficult (he went through the entire deck of cards without missing a turn)
So, if that's your type of thing then go for it, but if you are expecting trivia based on the actual books (or even something challenging based on the films) then I would avoid it. I've read about a LOTR game that is based on the books , but I haven't seen it anywhere yet.

Hmm...well, that stinks. I guess I'll check out this 'other' lotr game.
On the bright side: Risk is Risk. And LotR flavored Risk is even better. :p

i think it would be fun, as long as it wasn't wrong (i.e. who gives frodo the horse for his flight to the fords :) )
i know i would never get it at home, i win the regular game too much as it is... my family and friends would hate me :)

Yeah, I saw this game and then saw that it's based on the movies and not the books. LotR Risk looked like it would rock too. I probably would have gotten it if I had anyone to play it with me. But alas, I am an only child. I have the original and have played a full game maybe twice.

yeah i saw that they had started selling lotr trivial pursuit and i went and had a look and i thought hmm i might buy this then i saw it had a few questions on the box. one of them was
what does saruman say is rising in middle earth? (or something along those lines) and the answer to it was A new power:eek: personnally that is just a pathetic question and that single question justified my not buying it but i dunno maybe people like that:confused:

I'm getting the Lord of the Rings Risk game for my sister for Christmas too! Risk is a popular game at my house, and my sister won three timees in a row! So then my brother, my friend, and I all ganged up on her and FINALLY she lost. Now she refuses to play. Go figure. Oh well, maybe she'll play this one with me...:)
