I really enjoyed reading Starship Troopers although I felt it was "rah rah" war (just my opinion). I have also read Stranger in a Strange Land, but I never really got it, to the frustration of the person who suggested the book to me. Also, Friday was a good read.

My favorite is The Glory Road, humor and swashbuckling, too. I love Starship Troopers, but I don't think it is "rah-rah war" as much as it is about social responsibility. I also like The Door Into Summer and The Cat That Walked Through Walls.

I have just finished Podkayne of Mars and am currently reading Farnham's Freehold.

I had the pleasure and privelage of being able to read two different ending to Podkyne; and I must say I prefer Heinlein's original ending instead of the "polished, cleaned up" version that they push around so much.

It's been a lot of years since I read Podkayne; what's the difference ?

My favorites (novels): "Stranger in a Strange Land", "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" ,"Glory Road"

Juveniles : "Citizen of the Galaxy", "Tunnel in the Sky"

I think "Farnham's Freehold" is really bad, as is his later stuff.
