How many of you have read this series, or even heard of it? It's a sci-fi/horror/romance/mystery series by Laurell K. Hamilton.

Summary:
Vampires, lycanthropes, and all imaginable preternatural creatures have been legally recognized by the American government. The series follows animator (zombie-raiser) Anita Blake's life as she executes vampires according to the new law and deals with nearly every kind of supernatural-related crime one can think of.

Did I mention the two main male leads? A French vampire called Jean-Claude and, after book 3, a werewolf named Richard Zeeman. It's enough to make any woman drool.

I highly reccomend this series, especially if you're into the "I am woman, hear me roar" style stories. Although due to violent content and adult themes, I wouldn't give this to young or immature readers.

My girlfriend can't get enough of these books, plus Blade, etc. She's read a lot of old crap in her time, so I think this must be worth a look. And it gets really twisted later on...

I have read this series and have, for the most part, been very satisfied with each book. (There are some parts and decisions that Anita has made, or not made, that I am not to happy about but that's just my personal hang-ups.) Anyway, don't let me discourage anyone from giving this series a try. When, I first accidently discovered the books at the bookstore I only bought one book. So, I immediately went back the next day to buy all the other books I could find.
