During a visit to the Zoo of Antwerp, I noticed a certain familiar face (http://www.geocities.com/earniel_fenelin/treebeard.htm) on a little grass lawn between the zebras and the pinguin's complex. It would seem all the Ents haven't disappeared yet. :)

That's really cool!

He looks scared. Also looks like he should have a cane and be doing a dance. Where'd they find a hat that big?

Hey look! That was taken on my friend's birthday.

Antwerp? Sounds like a schoolyard insult... ;) no offense meant. But cool pic! Wonder who took the time to set that up and if they have any idea there are people all over the Moot looking at it.

Hey, watch it missy! You're in the process of insulting a very large city with a very long history! ;)

The picture is taken in the Zoo of Antwerp, and they're a little keen on their trees. Especially since they had quite some trouble in the past to keep them alive. If they don't have to chop down a tree, they won't but sometimes things can't be helped. I think it's a nice initiative to keep the treestump and turn it into decoration. It makes the end of the tree not wholy useless. The minute I saw those big roots, I went 'Treebeard lives!'. :)

What I'd like to know is:
How the hell did he get here from Middle-Earth? Time warp? Wormhole through space? Gandalf's tricks again?

And anyway, he's shrunk a little. Probably lack of that Ent water.

Did Pippin and Merry drink it all?
