Are the titles of all the books done on purpose or coincidence? I mean, they all are like this:
Harry Potter and NOUN
do u think jk did that for a reason or did it just happen?

i just realized i probibly didnt explain that too well. i mean, look at
HP and the Sorcerers/Philosiphers Stone
HP and the Chamber of Secrets
HP and the Prisoner of Askaban
HP and the Goblet of Fire
HP and the Order of the Phoenix
all the titles end with a noun.

i think jk probably did that on purpose... or at lest once she had done it with the first book it just seemed natural to continue with that scheme.

*sighs* only you evenstar1400 could come up with a question like that.
i am almost positive that JK Rowling did that on purpose. when you say all the titles after one another they have a nice rting to them.;)

Well I suppose you could argue both cases. I mean it could have been done on pupose, but in my oppinion wirters don't do half the things we find in books on purpose we just find them. If you want to argue that it just happened like that then you could go with the fact that they all fit in with the books. Sorcerer's Stone there was one in the book. Chamber of Secrets there was one in the book and so on.
But if you want to say that it was done on purpose you have the fact of the nice ring and that they all follow the same scheme. Though I find it unlikely she meant to do this when she started wirting the series afterwards she relized how good it would be and did it like that.
Oh, and if u wanna get technical which is what I like doing, I just can't help it, it is Harry Potter and adj. noun. :D

It would be funny if JKR folllowed this scheme until the last one, then she names it something totally different.

Just to keep us on our toes. But it is my experinece that once you start a pattern it's hard to break.

JK Rowling's words are all written on purpose. But I think we've all reached that conclusion here. It's not only her books, but many titles are like that. It gives you a hint as to what the book would be about.
I knew what the 5th book was called before it came out, and I was going, "What is the Order of the Phoneix!!!???" for about 4 months.
Cheers! /N\
