Adrianweth smiled as she sat by teh waterfall in her home of Rivendell. It was so peaceful, so wonderful. She lay down on a stone, gazing at the sky. Part of her said that Rivendall was too perfect, the part of her that was a wonderer, the part of her that ahd made her leave so many years ago, the part that had made her volunteer to go help the Men of Rohan at the battle of Helmsdeep and the Battle of gondor. She looked at her sleeve, silk, unlike her comfortable traveling clothes. She sat daydreaming, thinking of her next Adventure.

Ooc: I hope you don't mind, I'm gonna make something happen, do with it what you will. If you don't like it, I'll edit my post.
Kalile trod silently as she could on the green grass, her bare feet making no rustle. Intent on startling the girl half to death, Kalile approached the rock where her friend (that's you, littleCat) lay. She was just about to shout when her pointed ears picked up the sound of frenzied hoofbeats.
"What?" the Wood elf spun around, cusing the white silk that she was wheedled into wearing around here, for it sadly limited her places to hide and watch.
What I wouldn't give for a dwarf-tunic slit at the sides, and borrowed trousers that reach to my knees! she thought, frustrated, remembering her adventure with Bilbo, and trying to think of what she would do in the same situation.
Finally, the choice was taken out of her hands, for around the corner came...

Adrianweth stood up,"What?" she swallowed when she saw what is was,"Orcs!" she yelled, grabbing her longbow."Kalile, be careful, they're rogue Uruk-Hai." she said, loosing an arrow at one of them.

A girl in a water colored tunic came out of the forest, arrows shot from her like wild fire. She spent her arrows, then drew her sword and attacked the rest of them, leaving htem strewn all over the place. She resheated her sword and looked at the people she had just saved. Odd they were indeed. They both had legs! "Hello, strangers."

Don't mind me joining in do ya?
A tall , young man, appeared seemingly out of nowhere. A young Dunedain approached warily, seeing the slain Orcs, and said to the three women standing around him.
"One of you is a mighty warrior indeed. To slay Uruk-Hai is not a thing most women of our age do. Courageous as Luthien I would say you are, to face such a band."

"Uruk-Hai? I fought quite a few when I was adventuring a few months ago." she said." Just so you know, Kalile and I slew quite a few before..uhm...what's her name came along."

Saved us! Hmph! :D (littleCat, don't mind Legoles. She's just an eigth grader, and not with us yet!) :p
Ic: "Uruk-hai have much to fear from me. They took the two hobbits and myself, for I would not leave them, captive during the quest for the One Ring, and it was all I could do to shield the little folk from their whips while staying alive myself.
But how could they have come here? Such an organized band should never have gotten past the Rangers! Mayhap now that Aragorn is gone from your ranks the standard of prowess has somewhat lessened?" She asked lightly, but her gazed intently at the Dunedain; her hatred of the Uruk-Hai and the pain she had suffered at their hands did not fade easily from her mind.

My character is a water sprite, she has watery wisps for legs.
" I am Tikingara, water sprite of this waterfall. I killed most of the uruks, as these girls did not seem up to it." [looks at them mockingly]
littleCat
09-05-2003, 12:33 AM
Adrianweth scowled,"Did not seem up to it? Methinks you have misjudged us. I had been in the battle of HelmsDeep as an elven warrior. I know how to kill orcs."
Legoles
09-05-2003, 12:37 AM
"Have you ever battled a rouge water demon? They are worse then 10,000 uruks."
blast that nintey second rule!!

"Why would I have need to fight a water demon? I am an elven adventurer, not one of the Wise." Adrianweth said.

Elenna walked up to the group cautiously, she saw all the orcs. "You didn't leave any for me?" she asked

"10,000 orcs will provide more meaningful conversation, if right now is any judge." (Kalile is a little miffed and worried right now, and when she gets worried, she gets sharp with people)
Tired of bandying words with the strange water demon, Kalile turned to the newcomer.
"You are from Rohan, are you not? Tell me, is Eomer King now? And what of Eowyn? I lack of news from there of late, and I wonder how my old friends fare."

ooc: I'm sure you all know Tel (or at least Kalile and Legoles do)
ic: Tel heard sounds of a battle, and then an argument. He followed the sounds to the tenth waterfall outside Imladris. He saw two elves, a water sprite, and a human arguing. "Ho there! What's all the fuss about?"
Kalile
09-05-2003, 09:27 PM
"Uruk-Hai have approached Rivendell," she answered, gesturing around, "These are taken care of, but what of those who may have gone around, to Bree and perhaps the Shire?"

"Youre right...... excuse me!" She jumped into the pool at the base of the water fall, and came back with normal legs. *Stretching legs* "Mutch better!" She now had on a silver cloak, and water blue leggings.

Adrianweth looked at everyone, it had been a long time since she had been in the north so she felt a little out of place."Uhm, hello, I'm Adrianweth."

"Nice to meet you!"
Kalile
09-07-2003, 01:28 AM
"And I'm Kalile, Hero of the Ring. Now what do we do about these orcs?"
Legoles
09-07-2003, 11:12 AM
"I have a suggestion."
*Everyone looks at her*
"Well, we could burn them in this clearing. Or we could send them down the waterfall. Which do you like?"
Aewionen
09-07-2003, 10:52 PM
Aurelen looked at a elf standing not to far away from her. (Gulio) "Do you know what is going on?" she asked.
Kalile
09-07-2003, 11:53 PM
"I meant the ones that may have circled around the Valley. Orcs aren't as stupid as all that. They would have sent only a few down here, and the rest would either be waiting or have gone around."

" I think we should tell the elders...." Adrianweth said calmly.
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-08-2003, 12:50 AM
"Not a clue," Tel smiled at the girl. "All's I know is these ladies were fighting about something or other, I'm still not sure what, and there was a battle and I guess Uruk-Hai are surrounding us."

"Oh is that all," Aurelen said sarcasticly as she looked over her shoulder.

"Well, I'm disposing of this carrion." she picked up the orcs and dropped them down the waterfall. "Now, I agree. Tell the other elders. I am one myself."
Kalile
09-09-2003, 08:37 PM
Now Kalile knew why she didn't like this girl as much as she normally would.
"You're one of the elders? One of the stuffy, pompous members of council that won't accept anything until proof is shown? It was you all that insured that Saruman turned to evil! He wanted to survive, and you all weren't helping! No wonder he turned his mind to machines instead of trees! The old times weren't working!"
All the pity, sorrow and helpless rage at those who sat on their arses and did nothing while children died at Helm's Deep in armour too big for them was controlled into her words as she rounded on the water demon.
Reaching down, she sliced the head off of one of the Uruk-hai with her knife.
"Show the elders this!" she cried, flinging it at the water demon's feet. "Perhaps then they will listen. Of course Bree and half the Shire could be overrun with them by the time you come to a desicion, but perhaps they will begin to see."
Quivering with rage and guilt, Kalile turned and began to stalk away.
Ooc: I roleplay my people as if I were them, without reguard for who's playing the character I'm yelling at. Don't worry, as long as it's in context then I'm not mad at any of you. :)
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-12-2003, 11:31 PM
ooc: Ditto:)
ic: "You're an elder! No wonder there was an argument. That's all elders are good for," Tel said angrily. "I myself was once on the council, as I'm sure you know, but I was booted out for wanting to do something. 'Dissention,' they called it. Dissention me rear end!!! I just wanted to DO something, for goodness' sake!" Tel turned on his heel and left.

09-12-2003, 11:59 PM
Aurelen gave a small whistle, I thought I didn't like the way elders did things.... Aurelen walked after Tel and Kalile. "Wait a minute! I'm coming with you!"
Kalile
09-13-2003, 02:49 AM
Kalile was already grabbing a longbow and knives from a rack inside. As the others reached her, she had changed into faded dwarf clothing; a tunic, reaching to her elbows and a little past her waist, and breeches going to her knees.
"My adventuring clothes," she siad shortly, pulling on an archer's gauntlet.
"I'm going to do something about the Uruk-Hai myself!"

"Count me in!" Aurelen said as she caught up with Kalile. "If they won't help you, I certainly will!"

With an exasperated sigh she ran after them,"Silly girl, I wondered why you looked familiar. I saw you at Helms Deep, killing many Uruks, don't take your rage out on me. Take out on those stupid blowbags. I do not sit around and wait for things to happen. I sneaked in with a company of Rohirrim, disgused as a hooded man. Anyway, If I was one of those airbags, I wouldn't have been able to hurt those damn things."
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-14-2003, 01:29 AM
"Less talk more hunt," Tel said, still upset by the memories from his short-lived time on the council. "I need to kill something right now."
Kalile
09-14-2003, 06:51 PM
Kalile nodded curtly. "Then let us go to see who sent them. You should know that the Uruk must have been sent by someone of great power."
Ooc: Oooh! 1000! Haha, I'm not a newbie anymore!
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

"Yes, they wouldn't try this on there own. Who has enough power to do such?" Aurelen thought aloud.
Kalile
09-15-2003, 11:07 PM
"Saruman is dead, Sauron overthrown. I can think of no one."
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-17-2003, 08:21 PM
"Who else could there be?" Tel asked. "Perhaps Morgoth has yet another servant unknown to us."
Kalile
09-17-2003, 10:15 PM
Kalile shuddered slightly. "I hope not. The last war was bad enough."
She thought of Gondor, the despair on doomed mens' faces, the dead mourned softly. She thought of riding to meet the ships of Aragorn, Legolas swinging up behind her as he came off the ship, of those who had not seen them coming. She thought of Eowyn, in whom she had nurtuted the seed of rebellion until she rode to war. It had almost meant her death, and Merry's.
One tear shivered on Kalile's eyelid, then fell.
"The last war was worse than bad enough."
Aewionen
09-17-2003, 11:53 PM
Aurelen shuddered. Though she had not been there, her mother and father told her about the terrible war. "Aye," she said slowly, thinking of her uncle that perished while he was coruppted. "It was."
Kalile
09-17-2003, 11:58 PM
Kalile shook her head, and the spell was broken; activity resumed.
"Are all of you ready to leave?"
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-18-2003, 01:02 AM
"Waiting on you lovely ladies."
(Argh, 90 second rule. Need I say more:D )
Kalile
09-18-2003, 10:14 PM
"Then let's go. We shouldn't take horses, though the Uruk can run very fast if need be, for we would lose their trail and alert them to our prescence."

The group of hunters set out across the barren land, following Uruk-Hai like three of the Fellowship long ago.
They trailed for days, until they were footsore and weary.
We rejoin our heroes now, on day 5 of the Hunt!
Gulio, Strength of Many

Tel scanned the horizion, looking for the group's quarry. "There!" He said suddenly, "Off to the northeast, they've changed direction."
Kalile
09-20-2003, 12:51 AM
"I don't know the land around here... where are they headed?"
Gulio, Strength of Many
09-20-2003, 01:34 PM
"I think they are headed for the Road," Tel said. "There isn't much in that direction but that, unless they want to go all the way to the shores."
Aewionen
09-20-2003, 03:59 PM
Aurelen nodded, "Why would they go north-east? What is in that direction?"
Kalile
09-20-2003, 06:58 PM
"The Sea. And.... boats!" she gasped suddenly,"the last of the elves left, leaving behind a few unseaworthy boats. I haven't had time to repair or destroy them yet, and the orcs might be planning on stealing them!"
Legoles

"Oh goody, something to kill," Tel said. He drew his bow and loosed a few arrows. When the Uruks came close enough, he drew his knoves and took out his anger on the Uruk-Hai.

09-22-2003, 11:03 PM
Aurelen charged at the oncoming Uruk-hai, slicing them with her sword.
