in the first book when harry gets his invisibilty blanket it says "your father left this in my possesion, use it well, just in case." when he loses it up at the tower after he delivered the dragon it was returned and a note attached to it said "just in case." did dumbledore know he needed that blanket just in case he had to get the stone from voldemort. i think dumbledore knows what is going to happen before it does because there is always little hints about it. just wondering what you think

The first note didn't say 'Just in case'. It read:
Your father left this in my possession before he died. It is time it was returned to you. Use it well.
A Very Merry Christmas to you.

And it's a cloak, not a blanket.

But I think you're right. Near the end of Philosopher's Stone Harry says:

He's a funny man, Dumbledore. I think he sort of wanted to give me a chance. I think he knows more or less everything that goes on here, you know. I reckon he had a pretty good idea we were going to try, and instead of stopping us, he just taught us enough to help. I don't think it was an accident he let me find out how the mirror worked. It's almost like he thought I had the right to face Voldemort if I could...
