I just came back from seeing it and I thought that it was a very good movie.
It also set us up for a definite sequel.

I'm seeing it tonight, and naturally I will be posting my comments here.
I watched the first two instalments again last night. I've always thought the first one to be a bit lacklustre, but the second one is a rocking good movie.
Comments when I return.

It was a very good movie. It is much shorter than the second. I watched T2 before I saw it - it's like 2 1/2 hours. T3 is very short in comparison!
Less character development, less story, but a lot of action and still great.
A lot of humor too!
I also saw T1 again today.
There were some minor time problems in T3 and some contradictions but I still liked it.
Obviously going to be a T4 in a year.

I just came back from T3. Really quite good, much better than I could have expected. Yes, there are some timeline problems, but the whole Terminator universe was never "circular" to begin with, but a set of parallel timelines, so a lot of things can get explained away.
Quite different from the first two, like how the second was very different from the first. I maintain that T2 is the best by far, but T3 was quite enjoyable.
I'm not really going into much detail here, am I... well, that can wait.

I thought it was an ok movie. Alot of action but most of the movie was pretty much a chaser and there wasn't as much of a plot as the others. The movie just continued the story, was more of a filler and set the movie for a sequel. I guess I was expecting to see a big battle that the previews showed but we will have to wait until the next one.

I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Although I must admit I have never seen the first two movies! :o **hides in the corner in shame**

what was the point of seeing this then greg?
You would only have a pretty ok idea of what was going on..........
How hard would it have been to rent the first two from blockbuster? Also, they must have played T:2 several times on different stations before T:3 opened.... :p

I don't want to be a killjoy, but from the commercials, did anyone else feel like the movie would be a little corny? It seemed to me like they just used the classic-ten-years-later-sequel storyline: the hero comes back to life somehow, and has to fight a female for some reason.
Nonetheless I'll probably see it eventually, after getting to Blockbuster for the first two.

Bombadillo, he's a robot he's aloud to come back to life. Besides it doesn't quite work like that anyway. He's a different machine but same model.
Anyway, I thought there were a lot of classic Arnold lines in this one worth remembering. The movie was good, what else could have happened? Not much without just going a little over the top and being boring/confusing/retarded . . . Personally I don't see the point of a sequel since the Terminator has given us most of the storyline throughout the 3 movies sofar. It's not like we'll be thrown too many curveballs with the plot now. But it will always be good for action.

ummm ive just got a question because im too lazy to wait for the movie to come out here, How were the machines created? they trashed the lab with the chip and the arm, and Miles got gunned down, so the only thing i can think of is Arnies arm, is it Arnies arm?
anyway im not that bigger fan. i did enjoy the first two but this one looks very poor.

I think the point was that even if you destroy the roots of future technology, somebody else will develop it eventually.

I say it today....wow....It was good. I didn't expect it to be good....I guess that's why I thought it was so good. It wasn't better than T2...but it was better than the first one.

I didnt think much of it. Had one cool chase scene (with the crane and all) but otherwise it seemed just more of the same and nothing too special. And Arny is getting so old.... And there was nothing new and clever about it like the second movie. Nor was there anything timeless and classic and cultish like the first (you people who hated the first but liked the others what planet are you from??). It was just a vehicle to show an aging Arnold being the Terminator again. And honestly I dont see how they can make a decent fourth movie now. Will it be all post apocolyptic? The war has started after all. And weve had so many flash forwards (?) in the first three movies that we know exactly what to expect from everything. The whole point about the idea behind these movies is the intrusion in present day of these people and machines and the whole dynamic of the mess that it causes. Not just watching 2 hours of Road Warrior type fighting in the future. My advice is dont rush out and kill yourself to see this thing. Renting it is probably the way to go.

i thought it was awesome:D better than the first not as good as the second...
heaps of people thought they overdid it and it was too comical but i thought it was hilarious... 'relax... RELAX!' hahaha...
a few things i loved...
- he said exactly, and it was funny coz thats like the Arnie word... if you listen to his commentaries (particularly Conan) he mainly says 'exactly'.
- Macho Man at the start was the best possible song for that moment, just as good as Bad to the Bone...
- the fighting was excellent. Too many movies these days are going for the whole 'quality' of fighting rather than brute strength fighting. the fighting in the toilet was classic :p .
- Kristanna Loken was hot.
that'll probably do for now thought...

Just came home after watching the movie. I thought it was a decent movie and a good complement to T1 and T2.
But even though there were some good action scenes in the film, I doubt I would've liked it if I hadn't seen the two other terminator movies. So to those of you who plan to see t3; go see T1 and T2 first!

I didn't like it. The end jarred with the feel of the movie-proper. They should have either gone with cheesey jokes, or chilling ending, but not both. The ending left no impact on me. And the terminatrix was useless. And not scary. How many times did she get them in her line of sight and miss? How could she not detect a human in a small room? etc, etc. Lots of problems in this installment.

Ah yes, Ah-nold was fantastic as always. I liked that this movie harkened back to Classic-Cheesey Arnie. Fantastic stuff. :D *Big Arnie Fan.* Pity everything else sucked. Don't even get me started on John Connor!

Well, I just finished the book and am glad I didn't see the movie. It has it's moments but all in all much too much "run, bang, miss, run, bang, miss" for me.

2001: A Space Odyssey aside, movie novelizations are useless. Don't prejudge a film based on that - it's like refusing to look at a painting because the written description sounds boring.
