Legolas' voice

Has anyone else noticed and/or been anoyed by the fact that in LotR and in the previews for Pirates of the Carribean Orlando Bloom always tries to talk with so deep of a voice that it makes him sound stupid. But if you listen to interviews with him he just talks normal and he sounds alot better.

ive seen the previews for pirates of the carribean and he just seems like legolas from the movie.i noticed when he yells in TTT "they are taking the hobbits to isengard!!" he sounds like an idiot:rolleyes:

I don't know that he sounds bad or anything. I think he talks kind of different- his voice is airier. I don't mind it.

i agree with gimli7410, i don't like the way he says that one line. but other than that, nothing could be better, except maybe that Kira girl getting eaten by the sharks;)

So what if his voice is changed? It could have been lower for a reason, or something, to make it sound more gruff or not make him seem like a guy who's in his twenties. Perhaps it's like that to make him sound more mature. Why does it matter? I'm sure anyone's voice can sound "stupid". Take mine for example...

He has a lovely voice! The only reason he changes it is because he happens to be doing something which also happens to be called ACTING!

Deffinately the best bit will be if that Kiera gets eaten by sharks!! I'd sing for joy *starts dancing* well fingers crossed anyway! :D :p

Haha! WHen I saw the movie, every time she was in a bad situation, me and Celuërian would be cheering for her to die....lol, I think we annoyed the man sitting beside of us.....;) :D

And about Legolas' voice, I think he makes it deeper to go with his character, because if he used his natural one, it wouldn't sound right. Just think if instead he said the hobbits to Isengaurd line in his natural voice it would end up "Man, they're taking the hobbits to Isenguard, man!" I'm not making fun of him! He just says "man" a lot....:p ;) :D

yikes, from what i remember, legolas's voice is all in the imagination because he is after all, a storybook character... now when it comes to just orlando bloom himself, i don't care how he tries to sound, i'll still listen and eat up everything he would say as long as i could get a good eyeful of him as well! lol

as for the damsel in distress in POTC, i have not seen the movie yet and i'm already wanting something to happen to her! lol

No way! She can't die. She's good. She's like, so smart, and she foils the pirates every time! And I don't think William Turner is an idiot. He's cool. (Not to be falling all over him of anything).

I'll agree that O.B. does use 'man' a lot. "I'm like, 'let go of the boat, man!'", "I love the way he says this: 'One of you, must do this'. Like, why don't you do it, man?" I think it's quite funny, and makes for great imitating (I love imitating voices).

see now...that's one of my fave parts in the movie when he says, "they're takin the hobbits...." i love his voice there, and i'm not obsessed. although i have seen POTC 3 times so far, but that's just b/c Johnny Depp looks good in eyeliner and dreds and he walks and talks cool...haha. but, orli's voice was stupid in POTC especially when he was like, " my name is william turner, i'm the son of..." ya know when he's tryin to make a deal with cpt. barbosa....i think he sounds gay. and in the beggining when he almost cries b/c she tells him about her dream.."at least once more, ms. swan" yeah...so we've dealt out that his eye color and his voices are never the same...what's next!?:D

Well, the line was 'treasure'; but I'm not obsessed with Orlando Bloom, and I'm a girl. I do, however, like his voice, and I happen to love the part where he says "Let her go! or I pull this trigger, and be lost t' Davy Jones' locker!" (partly because of the way he said the line, and partly because I like Barbosa: "Who are you?", and Jack "Oh, he's nobody, just nobody. Just some third cousin on my mother's aunt's father's side. Great singing voice, though."):D

I love Orlando Blooms character, Legolas, and all, it's just that, I think that his voice does change in it. Oh, yeah, and I also think Legolas is the coolest character (except for Frodo), so I can't critize him. :D
