Yeah, I read it in practically one go - well, two, because I took a five-hour nap somewhere in between to make up for last night's lost sleep. :)

anyway i started it on 12:30 saturday (it was still dark, just after midnight) and read till 4:00am, then went to sleep and read from 9am or so till 4pm or so. I read it in 10 hours or so.

So much to say about it..... and im so depressed cause this book just sucks the hapiness out of you, like a dementor. and since i dont like chocolate, theres nothing to cheer me up.... please if youre done, PM me cause i need to talk about the book or im gonna explode!!

I finished it yesterday afternoon - which considering I was at a family reunion, I consider both good and a little disturbing :D But the minute I finished it my brother snatched it from my hands, so no re-reading yet...

Gah, gave in and read it too fast. (The reason, elfgirl, is because I waited a damned long time for it, and I wanted to savour it a bit more instead of my usual devouring of books.) Somewhat hindered by having to work on Saturday, and going to an opera on Sunday, and then working again on Monday, I have finally finished it today (Tues). What can I say? It was good, but not as good as my favourite book (3) or the last one. The middle dragged a bit with no real sense of direction, and the beginning dragged a bit as well. Potter has turned into an annoyly shout-y little brat, who seems far too quick to discount his friends, and believe them to be capable of dropping him - as seems to happen over every summer. All annoying points aside (prophecy! hah! My butt has prophecised more than that), I enjoyed it. Some of my favourite parts were sitting the OWLs, and seeing Dumbledore matched against Voldemort. Interesting that he called him, "Tom." I shall have to read it again, but so far, it sits after Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire. It could definately have been shorter. Also: wasn't as dark as I was exptecting. I guess it was more sinister because of the censorship thing happening, but I guess the next book will be where it really begins to slide downhill....

I didn't do much today except read. I read 400-something pages and finished it up. I couldn't put it down.

My mom got onto me for reading spoilers, well, actually, we were on the phone cause I live in Celeste, a really teny tiny town near Greenville, which is a small town near Dallas, TX and my mom lives in Pasadena(sp), TX. She said they were pretty well sold out there but she was trying to get a copy so I could read it when I went down there for the rest of the summer. All she really said was 'Shame on you," and "You're m\not supposed to do that," but they were so hard to resist, I am sad from the quote/spoiler I read about Sirius that was said about Harry, tho I can't wait to read it, I like getting stuff spoiled, that's why I get on threads like this, and it doesn't really spoil it for me cause I read the stuff and then forget the spoilers as I read the book till I get to that part, and sometimes the spoilers make it easier, and sometimes they make it harder to read the parts.

I finished it at 2:00am on Sunday went to sleep and woke up at 1:30 in the afternoon. I've been re-reading most of the chapters again to get a clearer picture of the story. Lots of stuff going on!

This is a bit unrealted but isn't funny that the person who made this thread (HOBBIT) hasn't finished the book yet. ;)

Oh i finished it a while ago, I just forgot to post here. It took me as long as I did because I felt no need to rush through it - i was enjoying it and absorbing everything. Why have little details miss me? It's not a race - who cares if you read it in a day or two days? Plus, I have been doing other stuff, mooting, iming, playing games.

Very Very good book though! Finishing less than a week after it is out is still very good.

I'm done, had to borrow the book off a friend, which meant I had to wait for her to finish. Great book, had its good (and bad) parts. I look forward to the next one!

Well, as long as the books ARE as good as this one, I don't mind too much..... anyway, it's not like this book leaves us hanging as much as the past one. I mean, we know that ol' Voldy's back, unlike the last one, and we know he'll be pretty well treated at his house, and.....no more Sirius..... his death was pretty sad.
