A book by Joseph Pearce, and an extremely interesting book indeed. It deals a good deal with Tolkien, his faith, and, of especial interest to me, his Catholic/Christian view on mythology. A spectacular book, which I am immensely enjoying, and which I would recommend to anyone interested in Tolkien and/or his world (unless they can't stand stuff dealing with Christianity, as there is a good deal of it in this). Tremendously good book. :)

So has anyone read? Or plan to read it?

No. I have no plans to read it.

Sorry, I just wanted to support your thread, Gwai. Thanks for starting one. :D

I have read it (except from the two last chapters), and think it was a good biography. It's a long time ago, it was the first Tolkien-biography I read...

I'll keep an eye out for this book - it sounds interesting. There are so many books about Tolkien around that it's difficult to know where to start, so thanks for the recommendation :)
