Fëanor: The Final Showdown

So...this is a simple question: Do you like Fëanáro, or do you dislike Fëanáro? No long discussions about why, no quarrels, only "like" or "dislike".

I want to see if I'm a member of the majority of this community in this matter :p

The voting will be finished (if the mods let it stay up for that long :rolleyes: ) in a week. Or a month.

Back on topic- I didn't like feanor much, though the last draft of him was a pretty good character. He's just never been as interesting to me as some other elves.

I think a while back he said that polls would be a nuisance and might overrun the board with no discussion. Have you ever noticed at SF-Fandom, how a poll thread will keep jumping to the top of the main page, but the last post was made days before? They just vote and don't discuss.

I can't understand why he got so many 'dislike votes'. It seems as if many 'Mooters hate the poor elf. That's why it's good that there are Desperate Defenders like Falagar out there :)

Let's face it, without Feanor, there would be no story. He is a character that the reader has a love hate relationship with. It can not be a one way thing with him.

*chuckle* Here'd be one. Feanor's gotta be the most super-human and yet the most human of any character in ME. To be the greatest of the Eldar and yet be so flawed... Reminds me of David from the Bible who, despite his inadequacies was "a man after God's own heart"

When he burnt those swan ships and just abandoned the rest of his followers like that, oh man, that was so very sad. I bet he really regretted having done that, later on down the line when he had a minute to think about what he'd done, but there's no WAY he'd ever apologise or admit wrongdoing, NO WAY - that would have been completely out of character; Feanor does NOT say he's "sorry." Which is one of the little things I admire and love about him, but I digress...
