In my opinion the most articulate fantasy book ever!!!!

It's not Tolkien-quality, but it's pretty good.

in terms of sheer scope and detail you are right, however for terminology and lucidity it's damn hard to beat. Tolkien created something that probably will never be beaten in relation to size and detail (he was the god of ME), but tad williams created a thoughtful fantasy which showed an amazing clarity of thought and a pleasant insight into various mythological beings...Geloe is a case in point.

Maybe. But his writing style leaves much to be desired. I was... not bored, exactly, but certainly tired of listening to the guy by the end of the first book.

I love Memory, Sorrow and Thorn! That was the first fantasy trilogy I read when I was nine. Those books are so good.
