Two Towers Release Date

I didn't see another thread on this so...hopefully this won't be closed!
LOTR: The Two Towers has a date to be released onto DVD/video. It is on August 26, 2003.
..but does anyone know if there is going to be another extended edition for TTT, like FOTR released later? I've heard several stories.:confused: Does anyone have any info on this?

Yes, there is definitely going to be an Extended Edition released in early- to mid-November.

In fact, the tremendous amount of FX work going into the Extended scenes is one of the reasons why we haven't seen an ROTK trailer yet.

oh. I see. They do a lot of work for the extended editions. I'm glad they are making another one like FOTR. The 'making of' movies, in my opinion, is some of the most interesting parts of a movie. and many DVDs don't show the making of the movie.

Is there a date set in mid-november?

Legolas_Greenleaf, I am sure that you are very truthful and reliable, but could you tell me where you got this info? I thought that most movies were released on video 5 to 6 months after it was released in the theaters.
