This article was late because I had a busy week and had trouble figuring out what to write about. But I think this came off pretty well.
Pasta la feasta, baby
What foods did people eat in Middle-earth, and how were they prepared? J.R.R. Tolkien probably knew enough about the etymologies behind the names for various foods to be sure of what he was writing about. A few American foods notwithstanding, the Middle-earth menu is very realistic.

A good summary on what the foods of Middle-earth were, but....WHAT DID THE DRUGS EAT?! TELL US ABOUT THE DRUGS!--BESIDES MR. DRUBARS!

You know, I figured the first "But..." would be about the lack of reference to The Hobbit. Drugs ate mushrooms, I think (among other foods). Or maybe Tolkien rejected that idea.
Something I wish I could write about, however, would be the kinds of herbs that would have been used for healing. But I'm afraid I don't know anything about that sort of thing.

That's interesting--why isn't there any refference to The Hobbit?

Because after three days of racking my brain trying to think of something to write about, I was just so happy to have a topic I got it written as quickly as possible.
I may run into another block with the next essay, though I hope not. But I don't have a topic selected yet.

*cough, cough, Ghan-cough-buri-cough-cough-Ghan, cough, cough*. Sorry about that, bad cold wouldn't you know. Rather contagious.
Seriously, why don't you write about what kind of cultures the Wainriders might be associated with or how Trolls should be depicted in the movies--and whether another movie of The Hobbit might be a good idea--or if it would be possible to make a script for the Silmarillion.

a Silmarillion script might be interesting , no matter how much they might change the storyline there is prob. a version from HoME to match!
