RoTK Trailer....

I hear it is going to be at the end of TTT as of the end of this month (March). I am going to check it out in a week or so, hopefully it will be there, as everything I am reading says it will be. I remember when I first saw the TTT trailer, it kicked major butt, I am sure RoTK will too :D

I thought Peter Jackson made it official that there would not be a teaser trailer at the end of TTT this year.

There will be ROTK trailers coming later this spring, probably attached to blockbuster movies like X-Men 2 and Matrix 2.

Well, I've found info for both, some saying that they won't be attaching it to the end of the TTT, and some sources saying they are. So I guess it is up in the air, lol...

They're not. Starr Polish is right regarding the current situation. I'm not going to bother digging up all my sources at this time but they do include word from Peter Jackson himself.

The situation is that the trailer's not happening because it would require the FX department to rush certain shots to completion or near-completion, and that's not feasible at this time because a lot of the team that would otherwise be doing this are instead working on the Extended Two Towers (which is a much bigger project, FX-wise, than the Extended Fellowship was).

*disappointed* Aww... I was waiting for the trailer. But I guess it's better to not rush it out too fast. Don't want any of those lovely SFX shots to get ruined, do we? More haste, less speed, anyway. Well, according to some.

Just a side thought, regarding trailers: In the FoTR previews didn't it seem like Arwen was talking to Frodo about 'you will face the same evils and you will defeat it'? Because it showed her and then Frodo in Lothlorien. I hadn't even heard of LoTR back then so I didn't think too much of it but this thread got me thinking of it. And then also on the FoTR previews was Sam and Frodo in the Dead Marshes. Weird...

Thats kinda funny! When I was watching TTT I remember thinking that I'd seen some parts before. Some I could distinctly remember being in the trailer on TV, but the other ones I couldnt place, and neither could my friend. The one I remember thinking I'd seen before the most was the scene with the Wargs. I know I didnt read it because that never happened in the books. hmmmm :)

I just saw an early trailer for FotR and it has a scene in it that we will see in RotK, it was of Merry kneeling before King Theodan on the steeps of Edoras :D
