The Hobbit miniseries? Sounds like it could possibly work.

I think it would be great! McKellen is right; there are so many different sences to act out that if you did a television show you could spend more time on each seperet scene. :)

Hobbit is a much more linear tale than Tolkiens other works, perfectly suitable to an extended TV series IMO:)

i think it's a great idea, though perhaps PJ is not the best director for it. The Hobbit is very far from what we have seen in the movies so far.

I think PJ could do a good job. He did great with the Shire and party scene. As long as he didn't turn it into an ominous story.
