anybody ever read them? thay anygood? have anything to with Christmas and if so is Feanor one of Santa's "little helpers?"

forgive for being off topic in the simple fact that i wanted you peolpe answering the question. i could have put it on the General board. but i looked at those people and they werent replying much on the literary-oriented boards. so sue me!

Well if you had posted you topic in General Messages, it would have been moved here. So you posted in the correct forum. GM is only for discussing topics that have nothing to do with the rest of the board....just a place to chat you know.

To answer your questions, I have not read The Father Christmas Letters. I do like the art work on the cover though. :)

And since I didn't say so earlier, welcome to the board and I hope you enjoy your stay here. :)

The Father Christmas letter's are trully a gem. The artwork is beautifull, the stories touching, ammusing, and all around very much fun to read. Basically it's the letters Santa left for Tolkien's children. The elves are short and not at all like the elves of middle earth. I recommend the book to anyone and everyone

The father christmas letters are great... i found a kinda dusty copy on my shelf last year, read it... I too love the illustrations, and the stories are great fun.
