Erendil told me that they WERE adding a ROTK preview. They were adding it to the end of TTT in March.

I honestly don't understand why in the world they WOULDN'T add a preview to the end of TTT.

I thought that New Line would have it better orchestrated this time around and the opening of the Preview-enhanced TTT would bring in another 20 million over the first weekend of release.

I really don't get it.

Besides, I'm impatient for my first peek at ROTK. :)

Yeah, I was going to go see it one more time in March, because that's when it was assumed that it would be included at the end (plus I was going to drag my husband to go see it:) ). That will be upsetting. If it's true, maybe it will be because there's so much happening, any little peek will give something away! But surely there'd be one on the dvd.

Hmm... seems like Peter Jackson himself has come out and said it isn't happening.

However, take this into consideration: a HUGE chunk of the stuff in the March preview attached to The Fellowship of the Ring didn't even show up in the final cut of The Two Towers. Too much happens in the editing process over the year for the footage that you'd see to be a good indicator of what to expect, anyway.

Well, we all know (from the Fellowship DVD documentaries) just how effects-packed and enhanced practically every shot is. What happened with the advance March trailer for TTT is that they had to get the effects crew to rush certain shots through post-production just so they could be in time for the trailer. Right now, it seems Peter Jackson has delegated a good portion of the post-production wizards to the TTT DVD, and simply doesn't have the staff and resources to commit to finishing shots for the ROTK trailer.

oh, you are related to Peter Jackson? Oh, I'm so sorry everyone's saying such bad things about him. Well, he did TTT better than the Fellowship in my opinion. i didn't like all the love/kissing scenes he put in. He did Edoras very nicely. And I liked the Hobbit holes. He did nice special effects with the Nazguls winged steeds. :) Actually, I think it kind of mean, what all you guys are saying. (Sorry, Lady of Rohan, but it's true, (I hope you'll still be my friend) He did make some mistakes, but hey he did his best.

Well, the man shows very little respect for the work of J. R. R. Tolkien. Rather than preserve the story and characters of Tolkien, he made his own movie and stuck Tolkien's name on it.

No, I didn't mean to insult!:eek: I was just trying to be funny, but if I did have the money and the resources, I would have made the movie myself. Yes. But only because he pretends it's still tolkien.

Practically every fantasy author since tolkien's time has based their work on tolkien to some degree. The difference is that they don't claim it's actually Tolkien. Jackson does. If he wants to make his own movie, and do it how he wants, then he should mbando well make his own. As it is, he has stolen from tolkien, ruined it, and then claimed that it's justified because it's his own. It's pathetic.
