*Tear* I doubt they will mention him again. They would have already if they wanted to. Or maybe he will appear to Anakin to warn him of his downward spiral. Was Yoda the first to discover how to reappear after death?

I wish Qui-Gon had been around in Ep2- he at least was a god character. What always got me in Ep1 was why didn't Qui-Gon fizzle away when he died like Yoda and Obi-Wan did? He was put on a funeral pyre instead- very weird! Mx

I heard from somewhere that Yoda was the first Jedi to learn how to project himself after death.

I say that same thing every time I see the movie. "Ohhh, poor Qui Gon." I feel genuinely bad.

I think they picked the wrong actor for him, too, although that's kinda irrelavent. He's rather temporary to be played by Liam Neeson. He could have played the part of Mace Windu.

Yeah I rember my first time watching his death. It was definately the most unspeakably geeky two minutes of my life. When I actually jumped up and threatened death to the TV. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! ****ING MAUL!!!!! YOU SONOFABIIIIII.....!!!! **** YOU!!!!!!" and then stomping out of the room, coming back later to watch Darth Maul's death, and then yelling even louder and laughing in his face. "WHAT NOOOOW!!!!??!!! YOU GODD......" (continue continue)

Poor Qui Gon...

The reason qui gon didnt fizzle away was because he didnt let himself die, he didnt know he was going to die so he wasnt prepared to die. Thats what i heard, if a jedi lets himself die he will fizzle, if not he wont. Obi(ben) let himself be killed by vader and yoda was prepared for it and let it happen.

P.S: The main carachter in the symphonie fantastique took opium and had a dream, i dont know if berlioz himself took it.

If that whole thing about Jedi dying is true, hector, than how come Vader didn't 'fizzle'? He knew he was gonna die.
I think they should have Qui Gon come back like Obi Wan did. Y'know, "So was I, when I was his age" (or whatever he said)- "Ben, tell him I'm ready! I'm-" Bangs his head on Yoda's ceiling.

I remember vader fizzling( what a word!) away after the battle when they are going to escape and vader is telling luke to go without him. Does anyone else remember?

he never actually fizzled he stayed on the death start while luke got away. the only thing luke had was his helmet. but he did show up at the end with obi wan and yoda? hmmm im confused:confused:

And I don't think that Vader was ready to die; he was unexpectedly defeated, and then, in realising his inevitable death, he accepted. So he kept his physical form but died in peace. And returned as an astroprojection later on simply because he was a Jedi.
Or course, I could be flatly wrong on each of these matters. They're just my opinion.

In any case, how bout that Qui Gon? Sad eh?

yes, quite sad. As I've posted before, he died and didnt fizzle because it was unexpected. Whats your opinion on this jedi fizzling?

Jedi fizzling...hmm. Interesting term. I like it!!!

qui-gon was cool. The only admirible character in ep. I (besides obi and maul) I hated seeing him beside JarJar. So much of a difference. Completely different characters. Qui-gon is everything that made the movie serious and JarJar is what made the movie seem to be aimed at toddlers and like-minded people. It was very sad when Qui-gon died. In fact...now that I recall it...I sure I did cry when he died. I WAS only 10 yrs old though..:p
