who would win??

in a fight who do you think would win of the two people listed:

1:boromir or aragorn?
2:aragorn or legolas?
3:boromir or legolas?
4:gandalf the grey or gandalf the white?
5:gandalf the grey or sauron?

first of all this is a pointles thread
1none of these people would fight the person u chose them to fight
2how would gandalf be able to fight himself and if he could it would obviously be the white one who wins because that is a higher form then the grey one

Gimli, although I think many people would agree with you completely, the best way to respond to a thread if you feel this way is no response at all. When you call another person's thread pointless, it can hurt their feelings. Do try to be sensitive; thanks.

Well, this user contacted me about it, so I thought I'd respond. When I am contacted by a member, I try to get to the heart of the matter and put in my two cents. I'm not saying don't respond, but if you feel the thread is pointless, just ignore it and go on to another more interesting thread. Some people here are very young and may not be aware that what they are saying is pointless, etc. I'm just letting everyone know that sensitivity is always appreciated.

2)Legolas, he has more skil with the bow than Aragorn and can fire while running when Aragorn would want one on one battle,

4)Not that it is possible for these two to fight:D :) Gandalf the white!
5)Umm, well, depends what form he is in, but i think Sauron would win most likely in any form.

I don't think it's a pointless thread. Kind of a funny thought experiment, actually.

I also do not think most of these would fight each other. However, I can't resist.
1:boromir or aragorn? Aragorn: he's lived as a Ranger out of the lap of luxury for a very long time and he's battle hardened. Boromir is a city boy although he's done a bit of fighting.

2:aragorn or legolas? Aragorn: bows aren't good for close up combat. Legolas is a prince, so he's probably used to being protected from harm all of his life and he's been cooped up in Mirkwood in his father's realm all his life. However, if Legolas was sniping in a tree he'd pick off Aragorn in a heartbeat.

3:boromir or legolas? Depends on the situation like above. But I would be on the sidelines cheering for Legolas. I'd hate to see Boromir take down Legolas.

4:gandalf the grey or gandalf the white? Uhhhhh, 'scuze? Is this possible?

5:gandalf the grey or sauron? Sauron. Although both are Maiar of equal strength, Gandalf was instructed not to match power with power with Sauron. But Sauron, I figure is a dirty fighter and would prevail.

2. You cannot know. They won't fight. But, I think Aragorn would be more powerful. (I really like Legolas, but Aragorn is stronger.)

Its all hypothetical so its ok. Its like saying who would win the 1936 Yankees or the 1978 Yankees. Of course they cant face each other obviously but its fun to speculate. But I have a question about this very point: just what differences were there between Gandolf the grey and Gandolf the white? what different or addditional powers did he have?
