Note to all those who REALLY wish there was a Middle-Earth Theme park.

I have a game called "Roller Coaster Tycoon" in which you can create your own Park with coasters (duh) and several other types of rides (like the ever famous "swinging ship". Its a really interesting game, and I am rather good at it.

For more information, please see the un-updated official site (worst site of it's kind, but it has lots of info.)

================================================== ==========

I have begun to create this "Middle-Earth Theme Park"

I have most of the landscaping complete. I can't do it as nicely as I wanted, the map is rather small. I have found a scenario editor that claims to edit size.
================================================== ==========
I have the following rides complete:

Uncle Bilbo's Wild Ride (parody of "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride")

Mad Baggins (Mad Hatter's)

Woody End Woody

Weathertop Observation Tower

Rivendell Snack Bar

Rivendell Arcade
================================================== ==========
I am wanting your help on scenery

I think that Roman/Classical theming is good for Rivendell and Gondor, and Halloween for Mordor (they have these really cool moving statues which I think would be good for the "guards") and "Log Cabin" type for hobbit houses.

Any suggestions?

I will put screen-shots up ASAP.

I will send many to the Tolkien Trail. It'll throw them ahead of the game in the top sites?

Plus, I would become......popular for once in my pathetic, semi-meaningless, unwanted, ludicrous life...

I'm calmed down now.

YOU can start getting excited.

Uh, cool... :p

So you are making this? It's hard to tell if you were writing it or quoting it from somewhere.

I'm building a middle earth city in sim city 3000, called Tirion, I'm trying to make it beautifull just like I think an elven city would be. I wonder if elfs pay taxes, use railways or maybe subways :lol: They sure don't take their rubbish out!
I'm going to make dwarf workshops and elf towers and tree houses, once I get good at creating buildings, anyone got any other suggestions?
Glad I'm not the only daft one;) I wonder how many other people use Tolkien themes when playing games.

I do that toom, all the time! I had a fairly successful Minas Tirith at one point on SimCity.

How can you make it look like an elvish city when it's all modern? Or does your Simcity have different time periods?

Sorry to drag up such an old topic, but this was one of the first conversations I ever saw when I was just watching and not participating. I'd like see it if you ever made it.
