Okay, so I was reading something a while ago, and it ceeps on bugging me, I read that Sauron had exchanged his body for an eye so that he could see everything. Is this treu? How could a giant eyeboll boss around thousands of orcs? How was he planning to wear the ring ones he got it back? I don't know, was this statement really treu? I'm so confused!!!! Help!!!

In Letter 246 JRRT wrote of Sauron:
"Sauron should be thought of as very terrible. The form that he took was that of a man of more than human stature, but not gigantic."
So no he was not in the form of an eye.

There is a thread about this same topic here, (http://entmoot.tolkientrail.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6482) so that would be the best place to continue the discussion. Also, this was discussed at length here, (http://entmoot.tolkientrail.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6927) so you'll probably want to take a look at that, too. Closing thread.
