June 30, 2003! According to this (http://www.streetsonline.co.uk/common/product.jhtml?pid=20187720) site, that's when we can all buy it! Yay. That's 2 months earlier than the Fellowship was on sale, wasn't it? Ooh, I can't wait.:D

ooh! I will have to mark it on my calender! I think I might be in sweden then though.....

Do you think they are releasing it earlier to try to get some of the attention away from HP #5 which is coming out just before then? :) :) :D :) :)

I think that the extended version of the DVD will be released in November. Should I wait until then, or should i get the original DVD?

I have told my parents in advance that I will want the extended DVD For my birthday (so they can pre order it) which is on Nov. 16, only four days after it is released. I don't know if I should spend my money on it when it first comes out in june... decisions decisinos:) :)

Wow, they've already decided and announced the DVD release date? That's great, I'm really looking forward to getting it! Is it going to have cast and crew commentaries and 5-6 hrs. worth of documentaries like Fellowship?

It probably will have a couple of cool features, but the real treat will be the extended DVD which comes out in November.:D

for FOTR they had bookends, what do you think TTT will have? I'm thinking possibly Orthanac, or and Ent, or maybe Osgiliath.

I let myself down last year and bought the first FotR. I then kicked myself and bought the extended one at Xmas.At least I passed my original version on to some-one who had never seen or read LotR. Thus creating another fan.:D

Whats this about bookends though?

Yeah, I fell into that trap as well. D'oh! Won't happen again. The only problem will be holding out till November.:(

Well, I originally intended to one each addition and the VHS of all of the movies (Hey, even if I don't consider it to be Tolkien, it's still cool fantasy  ). Of course, that hope went down the drain, and I only have the normal and extended versions of FotR (Not even the cool giftset! I was supposed to get that, but the person who picked it up got the wrong one :( )
