My pleasure :D Isn't it amazing how much Gollum really looks like Andy Serkis when you see them compared like that, the animators captured his face, but then again, I guess that is what happens when you study someone's face for 2 years, lol :D

Things like this make me appreciate the work they've done even more, even if things are different from the books, the amount of work, effort, time and creation they have put into these movies is unreal. Not to mention, the way they transformed Serkis into Gollum is the first of it's kind in movies, so they are in essence pioneers as well!

Gollum is amazing and Serkis did such a great job with him. I think he definitely has a chance of getting an Acadamy Award if he is nominated.

Dúnedain I couldnt agree more with this statement. When i first watched the LOTR documentary and they went into such detail on EVERY aspect of the film I was completely floored. I mean they REALLY did their home work on this. Sure we purists can be upset about this or that difference from the books but the important thing is they didnt just kind of yank a few things from the books and that was it they really weaved together a world in much the same way Tolkien did only it was Jacksons twist on middle earth. Which is fine if you are as thorough as they were. All these people who scream that it was a horrible movie because it wasnt exactly like the book just miss the point completely. And they are too blind to appreciate art for arts sake.

Its amazing how much work went into making Gollum. And it all payed off too, he looks and acts completely real. If I hadn't known in advance that he wasn't real, I would have thought he was and actor in a costume!! Well, I am pretty stupid so... yeah.
