I know this must be a wonderful movie, but how many times are you going to watch it? I know I'll probably like it too. ( I haven't seen it yet) I am probably going to see it tomorrow, Christmas Eve. I know it's probably going to be packed with that wierdos, but isn't that the case with every good movie? Like we went and saw Th Fellowship of the Ring and there was this guy behind us, short, greasy, long grey pony-tail, most likely a Star Wars freak too I'm guessing. Saying, no shouting, Cool do it again! everytime something happened. I'm only going to see this once thats as many hours as I can sit in front of a T.V. Maybe even less. :D

I went to see the Fellowship of the Ring once, and then bought the dvd and watched it several times. I have seen the TT once, and am going to go see it again tomorrow. I plan on seeing it once more after that with a friend of mine that it trying to get into the books.

Well having seen the Fellowship countless times in the cinema then on dvd I intend to see this film at least nine times before it closes- I'm doing it for the fellowship, once for every member. I haven't got bored of FOTR after seeing it so many times and I prefered TTT so I'll probably see it more often- hey there's nothing else to do in this two story town! Mx

I saw FotR 4 times in the theater (thrice in December, and then once again when the TTT preview came out in March), once with the regular DVD and once with the extended DVD.

I've already seen TTT twice, and hope to see it more times than FotR, just to help the cause. (We can beat Spiderman! :))

I've seen FOTR 9 times on the big screen (1 for each nazgul ring)and countless times on the regular DVD and probably more times on the extended DVD when it arrives on thursday (yay!!).

I'll probably see TTT a total of 10 times in the cinema (the 9 plus the One Ring).

Then next yr will see me buying another 10 tickets for myself (the 3 elven rings plus 7 for the dwarves).

It's great to live in a country which sells tickets for 1 to 2US$ each. :D

I saw FotR sixteen times in the theater, and I won't even count video viewings. So far I have seen The Two Towers twice.

I'm thinking I will be seeing it with some friends in the next few weeks, then maybe once again alone, and that will be it. I will certainly be purchasing the video and extended edition (you're welcome, Peter!).

Who knows why less enthusiasm to see this one over and over and over.

Saw FoTR once, and thought it only fair. Got the extended DVD and liked it slightly better after several viewings. But I seriously think I'm gonna skip TTT... Just doesn't sound like my kind of movie -- too much emphasis on the action and not enough on the psychology of the characters. Although I'll probably get the extended DVD and see it then.

I agree with bmilder! Spider-man was agreat movie, But LotR is so much better. Also, I'm going to support a good film like this when it comes out in the theatres. I saw it three times opening week(Midnight showing, Thusday night and Saturday night) and I'm ging to see it as many time as my budget will allow.

I saw FOTR about 5 or 6 times in theater. Frankly I lost count somewhere. As matters are now I doubt that I'll see TTT more than 3 times in theater.

Well, I saw the TT again Xmas eve. It was wonderful. I still love the Elves coming to Helms Deep, my favorite part. They were so fair and beautiful with their beautiful bows. I thought, "All these beautiful people that are going to be slaughtered" So sad.

A fantastic movie, that I hope to see at the theatre at least once more.

All depends on how many times my $54.50 will let me. I'm hoping somewhere in the teen area. More'n last year...only 9 times in theater for FOTR...sigh. :(
Cheers,

I saw FotR only once in theaters because I was poor. I've seen TTT once so far, and I'll probably see it again over the holidays, but I would say no more than 3 times in theaters, because I am still poor!

Saw FotR in theatres 7 times, was aiming for 9, whatever. So far, I've only seen TTT twice (I'm keeping an update in my sig :D), but I'm aiming for 12 (the 9 Nazgûl rings plus the 3 Elven rings, so there Arathorn! :D :D) at least. Basically, however many I can afford, plus however many times I can get friends/family to pay for my tickets. Yeah. :p :p

Well, I saw FotR 3 times, so I'm going to see TTT at least that many times and maybe more. I'm shooting for 4 so that I justifiably can see RotK 5 times. :D

I saw the FoTR 3 times at the movies and so many times on video I'm embarassed to admit it. I'll probably see TTT 2 or 3 times at the movies.

As with FotR, I'll see TTT twice -- only this time, I'll see TTT at a drive-in.

The sound at the cinema I went to (which incidentally was a large and expensive one), was crap. Therefore, I'd rather listen to Helm's Deep with my two 12" subs. There won't be any surround sound, but then again, I never heard any in the cinema...

Blackboar

Oh in America!! Oh to have Drive in Movies!!

God I'm jealous:rolleyes:

The cinema near us is really good!! 50 screens all with big comphy seats all about a metre higher than the one below you so you always get a good view and with surround sound!!

Andúril
12-26-2002, 10:08 AM
Well, the cinema I went to seats 350. And they claim it is fitted with a "state of the art" digital surround sound system (even though I heard absolutely no surround sound, the treble was harsh, the sound stage was unclear, I felt hardly any subsonic bass, and even though the screen was about 4 stories tall, they were still using 35mm film, so the picture just looked more blurry than usual. Oh, and the contrast was quite rubbish. Quite similar to a $3000 data projector.

I guess I'm not expecting much from the drive-in either. Well, not from the picture, anyway.

i have already seen The Two Towers twice and am hoping to see it at least two more times. i had to pee the entire time when i first saw it but i said to myself "You are NOT missing a second of this movie--even if your bladder is going to explode--you are not missing any of this!" As soon as the credits came on I made a mad dash to the bathroom. so thats my little story. :)

Well I've seen it twice already! I'm going again tomorrow and then again on Saturday!
I'll probably go like every week untill it get's taken out of the cinema! :D

I know what you mean Varda, I had to use the restroom in Harry Poter and the Chamber of Secrets really bad! But I stayed in my seat and watched the whole movie. I still haven't seen that darn movie( The Two Towers.) I'm going to see it on Saturday ( please be at the Rave!) I hope to see it at least once! I gotta pee!

I don't want to wear it out. I have the feeling TT won't hold up alone as well as FotR. I've seen FotR 3 times in theaters and maybe 4 or 5 at home, TT once and probably once more til I get the Extended Version.
Of course seeing all 3 together is the ultimate goal.

Fellowship definitely merited a full ten viewings in theaters. (Would have been eleven, but I got lost and showed up half an hour late.) I'm not sure I like TTT quite as much (probably due to the fragmented storyline), but I'm sure it merits either eight viewings or as many as I can get in before my car dies for good.
