In TTT gollumn claims she can do it. Won't this confuse people who haven't read the book?

I think it was to get a lil supense goin on there, ya know, so now people will either wanna see it again to see if they missed something, or want to see ROTK so they can find out who the heck "she" is.

i think a lot of the movie would confuse people that have not read the book. I mean they did mention morgoth and the valar in this one.

Just a point people are gonna think that arwen will live forever which is not the case she will become human

Yeah, that was great that they mentioned those, and it kinda made me feel special that I knew exactly what they were talking about, unlike a few of my friends who have not read the book and not the Sil, etc. I'm glad they alluded to Shelob though. RotK is going to be awesome!

A cliffhanger, to get people to see RotK. Kind of like the Empire Strikes Back *slaps self for making comparisions to Star Wars* Sween, where did they talk about the Valar?! I totally missed that part!

You didn't tell them, did you? When people ask me about what's going to happen, I say, "Read the book!" or "You'll see in the next movie *smile*":D

I remember the Valar part; Arwen said something to the effect of "May the grace of Valar go with thee" or something. But I don't remember Morgoth being mentioned?

Anyway, those parts are really good, like when Tolkien makes allusions to "Gondolin" in the Hobbit, and to "Beren One-Handed" in LotR. It gives people an idea of exactly how deep, rich, and detailed a world Middle-Earth is. And leaves them wanting more...

Come to think of it, the confusion the 2 movies brought with them (references to "her", the valar, Gandalf dying in FOTR, etc.) enabled me to get quite a few free lunches as my friends were short of calling me "nice master" just so I'd tell them what all those references were about. :D

It's the cliffie value. Remember the ending of the book?
"Frodo was alive, but taken by the enemy," or something like that. It makes people pay to find out what happens next.
And I do love being in hte know. :)

No she won't. She will become MORTAL. There's a difference.

In FOTR:EE, Legolas says He was taken by both shadow and flame, a Balrog of Morgoth, for we went needlessly into the net of Moria.

That's great:D I'm going to start telling people that. Oh, and Bop, I've been teasing my friends before I saw FotR, since they all saw it before me. I kept telling them that I knew what happened in TTT and RotK :) And then they would try to tell me what hapened in the movie, and I'd say I know that! I've already read the books, remember? :D Oh, it was great fun!
