I can't help but voice my greatest fear and ask if anybody has some solid insight to the matter:
Is there any way that Arwen will be the one to kill the Nazgul at the battle of Pellenor Fields?
I am concerned because Haldir said that the reminder of the ancient alliance came from Elrond. That occurred after Arwen left Rivendell. Where was she going? Possibly to Lorien? If not, how will she make it to Minas Tirith after the Ring is destroyed?
What if P.Jackson had her sneak in with the froce from Lorien, fight anonymously as an elven soldier, and then in the RotK she will be the one to kill the Nazgul. I think I might kill myself if it happens. I certainly will stand up and boo the screen out loud.
The story line seems to be leading to Eowyn putting on the finishing blow...but after some of the storyline departures in TTT, I am concerned.

Miranda Otto (Eowyn) claims that she kills the Witch King in ROTK. :)

Eowyn is my favorite female charecter! I will be soooooo mad if Arwen kills the WitchKing. Arwen got Aragorn! :) Isn't that enough for her! She stole Eowyn's man! (Just ignore the fact the Aragorn met Arwen first, and was never technically in love with Eowyn...) Now Arwen is trying to still Eowyn's pride and glory too! :) That is just sooooo mean of her! (Just pretend that olsonm didn't say that Miranda Otto says she, as Eowyn, will kill the witchking.) I don't like Arwen's charecter very much... as you might be able to tell...:) I want Eowyn to kill the witchking!!

Yeah! Eowyn needs her time! Arwen gets enough and she's not supposed to be involved as much as she is! I want Merry and Eowyn to kill the Witch King, not Arwen!

Eowyn rules!!!! She is soooo cool! I was her for haloween... people knew I was someone from lotr and kept asking my if I was 'suppost' to be a hobbit or an elf. Arg! I was not 'suppost' to be anything! I was Eowyn, a mortal women thankyou very much!:)

can i just say why i think arwen is in the movie more than she is in the book... becuase it is the movie not the book. there is no scouring of the shire so the high point in RotK will be Pellenor fields/ destroying of the ring then Arwen and Aragorn marrying sand coronation... they put arwen in that amount because there wedding is obviusly going to be a big thing
this is a conspiracy Akutach posted that unfounded rumour to turn everyone against Arwen by playing on certain peoples adoration for Eowyn.. dont pay any heed ;)

Oh Millane, it's too late for that... Arwen is evil! Her one goal is world domination! I have already sent out my robot troops to kill her...'MUST DESTROY EVENSTAR FAMILY....MUST DESTROY EVENSTAR FAMILY....MUST DESTROY EVENSTAR FAMILY....' :) just kidding if you couldn't tell

I thought about that too! I'm totally in love with Aragorn *faints and dies* so I have a tiny grudge aganist that awful, dsigusting, whispery-voiced, overly-dramatic Arwen, and if she's kills the witchking, I'll scream. Well maybe not! Hehe! Anyways, maybe Arwen really is leaving, and Aragorn can marry Eowyn. Notice my user name Eowyn TELCONTAR, which is Aragorn's last name, meaning EOWYN MARRIES ARAGORN!:p

Millane: I think that the reason for Arwen's extra parts is: Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Note the Xenarwen feminism, with twisting the woman, who was a true lady in the books, into a warrior princess?!? This coincides with that fact that Philippa goes by Phil just a bit too much for me. And with just PJ, how likely is it that we would have had all those worthless scenes in TTT, portraying Arwen as a blubbery teenager who had no idea what she was getting into? I liked Tolkien's story way more. And if anyone cites anything about pleasing the crowds, I say: The crowds have millions of movies. Can't we have three?

Since this rumour has apparently been put to rest, and there are enough threads booing Arwen, and extolling the virtures of both Aragorn and Eowyn. closing :)
