I was able to see the exhibit in Toronto this morning. It consisted of mock up areas from the film and many props and costumes.
We started off in Fanghorn forest, and made our way into the Throne room of Edoras. We wound past the palantir area and Saruman's chamber at Orthanc. There were the Glittering caves and Osgilath ruins as well as Arwen's chamber. But the best was the Henneth Annun cave. As you looked in from the back of the cave, they had the waterfall passing over the sunset window, lit up as if the sun was setting in the west.
All through these areas were manequins with all the principle costumes from the movie. The armor was incredible to see, particularly that of Rohan, which had detailed horse motifs on most items. All the main swords were represented, including the broken Narsil. Aragorn's and Legolas' bows and quivers were there, as was Sam's back pack with his pots and salt box.
This show has been extended until Dec. 8. If you are within reasonable driving distance of Toronto, I highly recommend it.
