Hello all and sundry.

A quick question: Does anybody know how to make the background of your avatar transparent, so that it works against any background? You can see that my shield, here, has a sucky grey background that won't go away...

Thanks.

You could crop it/edit it yourself to erase the grey part and just have the shield.

Let me see what I can do. I use Firewqorks and I can make it transparent using that.

Also - I noticed it's a jpg. Only GIFs allow transparent backgrounds.

Here it is -

You can use photoshop to make the back ground transparent. Just select the area, and go to the help menu - it's got a transparency option.

Well, thanks for all the input. I have photoshop, and I can make gifs, and jersey devil already did it for me! Sweet.

Sincerely,
