I was watching the science fiction show Babylon 5, it aired on Space in the mid-nineties, and there was a Tolkein quote! On the show! This is exciting for me since I love Babylon 5 as much as Tolkein!
In episode 3, season 2, the Vir Cotto asks the technomage Elrich to grant his employer Londo Mollari an audience. Elrich refuses, and asks Vir to leave saying:
Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
I think the Tolkein quote is actually, "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger."
I think this quote would have worked perfectly in that scene as well. I hope someone out there has seen Babylon 5 besides me! :)

Do you think this quote is a proper Tolkein quote?
Who else is a Babylon 5 fan?
