I know for sure that there are midnight showings all over Canada, at Famous Players locations at least. In fact, I already have my tickets.
Why skip school? You have school at midnight?

The 18th is a Wednesday, right? Well anyway my exams are the 18th 19th and 20th. Just my luck, depending on my grades from now and until then and depending on my parents mood, I might haev to wait 3 days before seeing it!!!!

NOOOO! This means I'm stuck in the exact same boat as last year because..."No staying up abnormally late on a school night."
Which means I have to wait 3 whole days! Not fair. Oh well. :p

Don't want to disappoint (or spoil) but I don't think that you will get to see that in the movie of TTT.
Shelob has been moved to the beginning of the ROTK movie.
Not sure how they'll end TTT for Frodo and Sam. Perhaps after they leave Faramir and begin their ascent around Minas Morgul?

Likely. Chronologically speaking, they don't even reach Shelob until Gondor is already being thoroughly ravaged... in the book, there's only a two day gap between their parting with Faramir, and Faramir's arrival in Minas Tirith.
A final shot of Frodo, Sam and Gollum at the Cross-roads would not be unlike FOTR's final shot of the descent into the Emyn Muil. In terms of the film's narrative, that would make sense.

They are going to see shelo.i saw this interview w/ EW,and he says the scariest thing the hobbits enconter in tt is a secret.

Just because it's secret doesn't necessarily mean it's Shelob.
Though I'm wondering if Shelob's appearance will be completely concealed from all marketing materials, just as the Balrog's was...

Look at the end of LOTR:TTT Creatures.(it just came out)

ee...Shelob...*shudders*
I was absolutely disgusted when I saw the spiders in"Harry Potter." I think I'm arachnophobic...I almost hyperventilated. So Shelob...eek...I'll probably be out refilling my popcorn or else fainted under my seat.
And that end to TTT sounds very feasible...but again, kind of dissapointing to everyone who hasn't even read the books. Heehee...suspense and cliffhangers are so lovely when you know what's going on!

Too true! Another year before I'm forced to watch a big, ugly, hairy, smelly Spider. For which I'm VERY thankful indeed!:p

one can only hope.
I am actually quite disappointed Shelob's only going to come out in ROTK... Ah well. Can't have everything. On a timescale of what's happening concurrently in the different areas of middle earth I suppose it's feasible to shunt that episode into the next film.

I'm also dissapointed about Shelob's displacement, that's going to leave a lame climax in TTT eh? I can see why PJ did that though, you can't make a movie on the appendicies! :D
But if he takes out the Scouring of the Shire, I going to have kittens!

Well, you'd better start having relations with the neighbourhood tom cat then, cos it certainly doesn't look like there's gonna be a scouring.
And it makes sense to leave shelob out 'til ROTK: the storylines in the book don't move concurrently with each other - that is why PJ has had to push the Shelob storyline back. (as already mentioned by nunc.)

Depending on whether I can bribe my friends' parents to let them go with me, I may or may not be able to go to the midnight showing; I think my mom is actually leaning more towards the "okay, okay, you can go, just shut up about it already yet!" side...:D :D

Aaaah... It's so nice being a home-schooler. My mom's a LOTR fan, so I get to see the midnight showing and sleep in the next day :D

I seriously doubt that the local neighborhood theater will get it at midnight. I'll probably have to wait until Friday the 20th to see it.:(

That's 12 midday sadly, but who cares?

So there are going to be midnight showings??? Well no theaters around here will have one most likely. But the good news is I don't have to take exams so I get to see it on the 18th!!! I'm so excited.
