I think viggosbeard is a pretty cute name, but it does not get those extra erudition points as it's mere 'movie' not 'books'.

Tanoliel is a very pretty username I think. It's my freind's and actually sound like something that she should be called in real life. She looks acts and sounds like Tano.

But my favorite is, and I so wish that I had thought of it first is:

Zoom.

Actually, If I could change mine, I would change it to "WOOSH!"

I like the Jersey Devil legend. Always have, always will. Nothing wrong with being proud of where you live either. And New Jersey is a STATE - not a town.

Just be lucky sween that I didn't choose the name "US #1". You'd have a hard time stomaching having to write that one. :)

I would - but that would give them fodder to claim that the name suggests that the US really is evil. :)

I would do AmericanDevil though. :D

Maybe when there are anti-American threads I'll have to switch to US #1 or America #1. :D

I wish VBulletin had the devil smileys like PHPBB does. :)

No just feeling a bit superior, which I picked up from the best - the British and the French. :D

So how did this thread move from talking about favorite entmoot screennames to town names?

In Oregon when I told people that I was from Middlesex county - they'd make comments about that. They'd say things like - "it's not great sex or terrible sex - it's just middle sex - huh?" :)

So why is the river named Cocker???

That's not entirely true. It as invented by a Canadian - but he invented it in the US and the first game took place in Springfield Massachusetts.

NBA Canada: History of Basketball in Canada (http://www.nba.com/canada/History_of_Basketball_in_Canad-Canada_Generic_Article-18023.html)
In 1891 the game was invented by Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian who hailed from Almonte, Ontario.

Having been given the task of creating a new indoor sports activity while conducting a physical education class at the international YMCA training school in Springfield, Massachusetts, Naismith designed what we now call basketball. The original game involved 13 rules and a peach basket hung ten feet above the floor. Even though it took place in the United States, at least ten of the players who participated in the first-ever game were university students from Quebec.

History of Basketball (http://www.ku.edu/heritage/graphics/people/naismith.html)
After serving as McGill's Athletic Director, he moved on to the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA in 1891 where the sport of basketball was born. In Springfield, Naismith was faced with the problem of finding a sport that was suitable for play inside during the Massachusetts winter for the students at the School for Christian Workers. Naismith wanted to create a game of skill for the students instead of one that relied solely on strength. He needed a game that could be played indoors in a relatively small space. The first game was played with a soccer ball and two peach baskets used as goals.

People can make their own choices on whether it is an American sport - since it was invented and first played here - or if it's Canadian - because the person was Canadian. To me it's an American sport - although one of my least favorite of any sports.

I think blackheart and afro-elf are funny too.
But for prettiness, I'd go with...erm...Allorien...or Laurelyn (I had a friend named that once..)
But for originality, I've never heard one like suba before, so is that short for scuba? Or er, what?
I also like Dussander for the simple fact it is a character in my favorite Novella by Stephen King.

Hmm. Methinks I had better disabuse all those filthy notions you perverts are having RE: my user name. :p

My original s/n was BeardofEvil* (a little pet theory of mine - I noticed that all the evil guys in Dr. Who had beards....) But when I logged onto Entmoot, I couldn't get it working, so I signed on with a new name... named after the Pants Game which was the first thread that I read.

Happy now? :p

Now that you mention it, Afro-Elf *is* pretty funny; I'm just so used to seeing it around now. :D Nazgul King Squirrel is pretty hysterical (as is the nazsquirrel thread :D), and Sminty's name is pretty cool as well. I also liked the way EG was so adamant that she was Legolas - not really a s/n, I know, but still funny. Oh, and Sister Golden Hair's name; and Darth Tater's, when he was still here.

*Edit - it's also a take-off on those silly Dr. Who titles - City of DEATH, X something or other of EVIL. :D
