I'm bored!! You see, my school goes back on Monday but everyone else finishes then!!!!! I've already had my week off you see.
So I was wondering if the fine people of the Entmoot would make up some riddles and everyone can have a look and then we might have a vote at the beggining of December ey.
Please don't make them too hard for people have to understand them!!

Actually, there is already a Riddle Thread (http://www.tolkientrail.com/entmoot/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4031) in the Middle-Earth forum.
If you mean non-Tolkien related riddles, contact me via PM and I will re-open this thread.

:) Close,
A baby crawling, a young man walking, and an old man using a cane.
But Coney it was close enough for me.

I view the world in little space,
Am always changing place;
No food I eat, but, by my power,
Procure what millions do devour.
There's not a kingdom on the earth,
But I have travelled over and over,
And though I know not whence my birth,
Yet when I come, you know my roar.
I through the town do take my flight,
And through the fields and meadows green,
And whether it be day or night,
I neither am nor can be seen.
In Spring I look gay,
Decked in comely array,
In Summer more clothing I wear;
When colder it grows,
I fling off my clothes,
And in winter quite naked appear
Though it be cold, I wear no clothes,
The frost and snow I never fear;
I value neither shoes nor hose,
And yet I wander far and near:
My diet is forever good,
I drink no cider, port, nor sack,
What Providence doth send for food,
I neither buy, nor sell, nor lack.
I fly to any foreign parts,
Assisted by my spreading wings:
My body holds an hundred hearts,
Nay, I will tell you stranger things:
When I am not in haste I ride,
And then I mend my pace anon;
I issue fire from my side:
You witty youths, this riddle con
Post you guesses.

With my 400th post, I'll revive the Riddle thread. This is not really a riddle, it's pure mathematics. Here it goes:
Three men rented a hotel room for $30. They paid ten dollars each.
When they were on their way to their room, the receptionist felt bad and thought he had overcharged them. The room wasn't worth more than $25. He explained how he felt to the bellboy and told him to bring the men five dollars.
On his way to the three men's room the bellboy thought:
"How are they going to distribute the money amongst themselves? I better keep two dollars and let them have only three dollars. That way, they'll get one dollar each."
The bellboy knocked on the three men's door and gave them three dollars, for which they were very thankful.
Now, the three men had paid nine dollars each for the room. Three times nine is twenty-seven. The bellboy had two dollars, and twenty-seven plus two is twenty-nine.
But they had paid $30 dollars! What happened to the last dollar?

Hold on here.
The front desk had $25.00
The bellboy had $2.00
The three men had $3.00
That's $30.00

That's $30.00 So how do you explain that 3 · 9 + 2 = 29 and not 30? You must explain it in a mathematical way :D
Sister Golden Hair

30-5=25
They paid a total of $30.00. They were given back $3.00, bringing their total to $27.00. 27+3=30.
Explain the $2.00 that the bellboy has.:D

But they had paid $30 dollars! What happened to the last dollar? This is tricksssy! :rolleyes: The three men had paid 27 dollars, including the 2 dollars the bellboy have! Add the 3 dollars the men got back, and you get 30 dollars. :D
