By now I'm sure everyone knows that Townsend is out of the movie. What do you think? Is this a change for the better or for the worse?

Well, I was looking forward to seeing Townsend in LOTR. I liked him in Shooting Fish (that movie's pretty funny, btw). But he was a little too young to play Aragorn IMO, so maybe this is for the best. It would be cool if he could at least take on a smaller role. I have never seen any of Viggo's movies, so I can't really say anything for or against him.

He does certinly look better, but he's American! I really just don't want an American accent in LOTR!

I don't know, I hadn't heard of either of them prior to their casting. I'm sure PJ knows what he's doing though :).
