Well, this is stretching "fantasy", but Monica Hughes is by far the best Canadian author of youth sci-fi, which often lay in the fantastical realm.

Charles DeLint!!!!!! He is a wonderful author who deals with urban fantasy mostly. He is truly wonderful, and I highly recommend his novels and his short stories. :D

i'm not sure, but i think arthur slade who wrote "dust" is canadian. dust is a book with a combination of fantasy and sci-fic. when i finished it all i could say was "wow"
