Once my friend hit his corn dog against the table, it didn't break.

Our old school food was awful. We know have a new company that provides our food, and though it's not exactly gourmet, it's 100x better than our other lunches.

First, the macaroni and cheese. It seems that to stretch what little government issue cheese they were given, our cooks put glue in it. I, personally, broke a tray while trying to get the cheese of. It was so sticky that it made your fingers stick together momentarily, and if you put a milk carton on the residue left over from what you ate and turned the tray upside down, the carton woudln't fall off. Same goes for silverwear.

And our chicken nuggets used to bounce, someone once found a hair in their chicken sandwhich.

Well duh it didn't break they don't break, One time I opened my corn dog and it was bright green I've also had blue milk instead of regular milk.

I'm lucky - my school doesn't have a regular cafeteria; we just sell pizza every Thursday, and we have a concession for chips and candy.

WHat do you eat the other days or do you have to bring lunch?

Heh, My school has the Seattle Center House food court as a cafetiria. It's a bit too expensive to buy meals every day but my friends and I like to pool our money and buy french fries. That way even if one of us forgets our lunch we're likely to get something to eat. Having the food court is good, it has far more choices and far better quality of food than regular school cafetirias do.

I wish I had that although I'd get fat fast cause all I would do is buy fries.

Sounds good, I like fries! Did anyone ever try to melt the schools cheese? No matter what you do, it will not melt, my friend and I tried it on one of the schools potatoes. But what scares me the most is that the cheese will atack me. Mathew told me that it would, and ever since I have ben afraid of cheese!

There was a fork in the ceiling of our cafeteria for about a week once. how it got there and how it stuck, no one will ever know. But seeing as the ceiling is about 20 feet high, you can't just toss a fork up there and hope it sticks to the popcorn stuff.

I've had purple ham. And green. And hairy. Whenever we got hairy ham, my friend used to say "ah, the hobbits must have gotten to it again." I've also had wood chips in my corndog.

Wow i will never complain about the food in my cafeteria again! I thought my school was bad, i mean the burgers are grey (not that i would ever eat them) but everyone else's sounds so much worse! Still all i eat at school (if i dont go out) is a little bag of chips and a bottle of water, so unhealthy but i never have any money!

My school food is actually sometimes good! We can choose from stuff like subs, pizza, big pretzels, fries, etc. every day. I rarely eat school lunch anyway.
But our salad bar is ALWAYS nasty. They freeze the lettuce, I'm sure they do. And the cucumbers are evil. They roll around everywhere.:p

Frightening. My school food always taste very good. Save for sometimes the hot food gets cool by second lunch. The pizza is the only thing I dislike, but everyone else seems to love it. That must just be a matter of taste buds, though.

You can't eat the hot dogs at my school, you can't eat the pasta, you can't eat the chicken patties, you can't eat the deli sandwiches, you can only eat the salads on Monday and Tuesday because they use the same lettuce all week, and you definitely can't eat the chicken nuggets. There is so much else you can't eat (including pizza). Basically Nachos (if they're not cold), bagels, and cookies are edible. Oh, and all the ice creams, as they're not made at the school.

ok, me and my friends at school have unanimously agreed that the "chicken" nuggets are made of not chicken, but cat. the frozen yogurt, pretzels and stuffed crust pizza are edible, but we only get stuffed crust pizza about twice a year, the fozen yogurt machine is usually busted and by the time i get to luch (i have D lunch, the last one) the pretzel machine has not been warming them for over 30 minutes and they are cold. the only other good thing is the ice cream vending machine, but that usually eats yer money.

so all in all, i bag my lunch.:D

My school's lunches are mostly good...except the salads. Last week there was mold on the lettuce.

Did you know that Twinkies will not burn? Seriously. and they don't go bad, either.

Twinkies are scary

I remember in my college days (I'm a lot older than you guys!) there were 2 incidents of food poisoning from the campus cafeteria, and you would go into the dorm bathrooms and see nothing but soles of people's feet facing you from the toilet stalls as they were throwing up!! (I got nailed the first time, but luckily ate out the second time and missed it).

One time I was on lunch duty. I had to help serve the food. And the other person accidently spilled gatorade on the potatoes. And someone did'n't notice it was there and took the gatorade mashed potatoes. It was really gross, but I didn't have any.:D
