Well, I know I'm not the only mooter that finds myself up at all hours of the night for no apparent reason, and I thought we (or at least I) needed a thread spesifically for those posts that could only occur with severe sleep depravation. Use this thread to talk about what's keeping you up.

Currently, for me, it's my bf, I really need to talk to him and he's not online. I've been having problems recently in my love life, acctually; dating is so confusing! Rather confusing. Oh well.

(sorry if that was a bit incoherant, after all, it is late  )

I am most alive at night...and I also happen to be having 'romance' problems, though not the same type.

I think I just have general insomnia. All that caffeine doesn't help either, though.

I often find that I have nothing to do, but I don't want to go to sleep, so I moot.
And caffeine just makes it worse.

No problems in my non-existant love life and I don't drink caffeine... so... ummm... I just like looking at the stars in the night sky. You can't see them during the day... I find myself staring out my window late at night just to look at them... ummm... yeah.... *walks out of room with head bent down mumbling to self*

I haven't looked at the stars in a long time.....I just hope it's not cloudy. Thanks for the idea! *wanders outside and looks up at stars*

Anytime, anytime. I do lots of stuff to eat up time... star gazing... and lots of other stuff like that.

Beautiful! Though I can't see many thanks to all the street lights. Well, it woke me up anyways.

Hmmm... street lights could be a problem... not many where I live. *shrugs*

Lucky.
For a few years my dad and I used to travel along the Oregon coast for a week or two during the summer. We don't anymore since my acting usually interferes, but I really do miss going down to the beach and getting such a clear view of all the stars.
Speaking of acting, our final performance for 'Twlefth Night' is tomorrow. I didn't technically act in it, but I was the assistant director and now I'm helping run lights and sound up in the booth. After the show we're going to have an overnight at the theatre, which means I should probably get some sleep (since I won't be getting any tomorrow).
Unfortunately I'm still wide awake.....oh well.

Hm... stars. I'd go kayaking at night, but my mom would worry.

Kayaking at night? Hmmmm....if only I lived close to a large body of water and actually had a kayak.

One really would think that we could be at least a little imaginative in finding something else to do, but I guess the choices become limited once it's late.

Well, if you're really, really desperate and have a lot of time, you could always try to create a robot army out of aluminum foil and R/C cars... and maybe you could cheat and use a little cling wrap too.... *mumbles about complex blueprints to be made*

Don't provoke me into conversations of world domination when it's this late. I might foolishly reveal my plans to hijack that sattelite in orbit and......SEE! You're already doing it to me!

Rûdhaglarien
08-31-2002, 03:36 AM
Very foolish, indeed... now I shall have to hijack ALL the sattelites that are currently in orbit... none for you!! :p

Well, something else to do, sitting here... waiting for my mother's triumphant return....

You'll find me on mostly after dark because that's when I like being awake. I don't find too much appealing about the sunlight except seeing the beautiful scenery around me.

I don't like the daytime much either... everyone thinks that I'm weird....

To me, daytime is just a miserable passing time until the eery glow of twilight into the restful peace of darkness.
People think I'm weird as well.

Most people can't comprehend the fact that I'm nocturnal... comes from a rare combination of recessive alleles...

nighttime is so wonderful. i just feel more alive, more creative. and it's just a better time regardless of how i feel. i am up late a lot. often mooting, often doing random acts of creativity. it's almost one AM now, and i am not sure why exactly i am up, if you were to ask me, but i think i am just not ready to end today yet. either i am waiting to find something more to today, or i just like the nighttime, and i need to live in it while i can, while i am still up, and before school starts. why does it have to be so damn early? i am not a morning person. that might have something to do with me staying up so late...or maybe not. oh well. i think the star idea is a good one. i like stars. :) we should convert the world to nocturnalism. it'll be great. hm...maybe not. ok, time to stop talking. the stars beckon.

I'm glad that everyone else is gazing at the stars... but I feel like it's becoming a cult or something.... We can't convert the world to nocturnalism... then I wouldn't feel special... nighttime is only for us select few... I love 1:22 am... but 4:00 looks better.

katya

yeah i realize that we cant convert everybody. as i said maybe not so cool. but its so bad to wake up so early in the morning thats all.

Eh. I like mornings . . . but ait, I'm late night mooting. I'm on in the mornings at 6:00 (I'm late today) and I've been told that's late at night. I'm noctunal naturally, but school meddles with things . . . and a sleep-deprived post is still a sleep deprived post. every single post i've ever made is a sleep deprived post. :D

I love mornings. Even shortly after the sun comes up it's still nice. I just hate pure daylight which is about 8:30 am to 6:00 pm

I like to stay up until about 6:00... when the sun comes up, then I like to go to sleep until I have to get up....

I'm a twilight person. I don't like midday or midnight; I thrive at dawn and dusk. Moonlight is cool too. I don't get it, usually I like being online late at night, but recently it just hasn't been working. Hmmmm... whatever.

I like mooting all times of the day.
